Advice from veterans? Bathmate, jelq and edema
I’m fairly new around here and have just been browsing threads for a few days now. I’m seeking some feedback with regard to what I’ve been doing, and what you all might suggest. I’ve done jelqing on and off (mostly off) for a couple years now - honestly about two or three sessions per month - until recently when I invested in a Bathmate and have started exercising consistency in my.. Well, exercising. The routine I have been using from early January until recently looks like this.
Day 1: Hot wrap with wet rag (5-10 mins), jelqing (~200 strokes in sets of 50), Bathmate (15 mins, close to max BPEL)
Day 2: Hot wrap with wet rag (5-10 mins), jelqing (~300 strokes in sets of 50), NO Bathmate
Day 3: Same as Day 1
Day 4: Rest
My two primary questions: What is your overall opinion of this routine, and would you recommend any changes? And I consistently get edema after Bathmate use which lasts for several hours; how can I mitigate this?
With regard to the edema question, I did see a thread on here several days ago in which a moderator recommended the Bathmate be used at less than BPEL (I think it was to aim for approximately 70%), and to leave it on for 30 minutes with less pressure. I have done this for two sessions now, and the pressure is so little that it causes me no discomfort whatsoever. However, I still get edema after using it.
