I think viagra stopped working within 2 weeks.

Long story short, my doctor prescribed my viagra for ED. I couldn’t keep the damn thing down at all the first night even when not aroused. Those first few days, I had headaches and a bit of facial flushing. I’ve been taking viagra everynight before bed to promote healing in my penis. Now when I take a dosage, I don’t have any of the side effects anymore. And my erection subsides quickly without stimulation.

A couple things to note, I’ve taken cialis (20mg) for 10 days straight, with no real effect from it. I had a headache the first couple days which subsided quickly. A couple weeks ago I started taking a low dose of prozac for premature ejaculation problems. I was told I wouldn’t have any side effects other than delayed orgasm, but it seems my libido might be down too from it. I wish I had those erections of steel like I once did. I made another appointment with the doctor to try caverject, but my insurance runs out Friday. Until I register for college classes, so I might be screwed for a while.

Any advice anyone? Thanks.

Dude, why would you take Cialis 10 days in a row? You might be Overdosed right now, maybe. But probably not. Headaches are normal side effects for them both, but how often are you jerking off? I think this is the real problem. Take a break for even 4 days, you will see the difference.

I have Cialis, Viagra, and powder tadalafil from Elitnet. I only take one of these every 3-4 days for healing. You don’t need to take it every night, as they are all fat-soluble (last in your body longer). I can feel the effects of Cialis the next 2 days.

Invictus is right.

First, Cialis has an effect for 48 hours, but only works when you are sexually stimulated. Maybe that is why it didn’t seem to work for you the first time. Taking it 10 days in a row is not a very good idea. Why are you taking the pills for exactly? For ED or just to help with your healing? This article is interesting if you have the time for it, altough it is a bit technical: http://www.meds … warticle/460334 It says that there is no evidence of tolerance to Viagra type drugs at normal dosages, but that generally the loss of effectiveness is due to the progression of the disease that caused ED in the first place.

The thing is mixing a lot of drugs makes it hard for everyone involved to really know what is going on, including your own body. Two types of vessel dilators, ISRS, they all have some effect, and mixing then can be hard to predict.

The Prozac might be responsible for low libido by decreasing your interest in sex (it is after all, an anti depressant). And whoever told you a drug has no side effect obviously doesn’t know what he is talking about. Prozac Uses, Dosage, Side Effects & Warnings - Drugs.com Obviously more then one side effect.

One more thing. Cialis and tadalafil is one and the same. Viagra has a slightly different formula but works in the same way.

My question is, if all you want is healing, and I’m assuming you mean while you are flaccid, why don’t you try something on a more local scale, like applying heat to the penis? Gentle massage with oil?

Just out of curiosity - how old are you? (I mean, your doctor has prescribed ED drugs - but if you are in college you are either young (to have ED) or maybe you have gone back to college at a later age?)

I take it you don’t believe in following directions on medicine. You have definitely way over dosed on Cialis, I am betting you did the same with the Viagra and probably the Prozac too.

Before you ask your doctor for more remedies, just tell him how you have been taking the drugs you already have. After he picks himself up off the floor, I doubt if he will be prescribing anything more for you until you try following directions.

At your young college age, you shouldn’t need any of these anyways. Did you start taking them just for the rush?

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I have quite severe ED (though it is getting better) and I only take tadalafil (cialis) every third day (at a 15-20mg dose). If I’m with a girl, I mix in a bit extra an hour or so before it is time to get cosy however, sometimes with a small amount of viagra as well.

I’ve not really gotten any side effect apart from increase blood pressure (though that isn’t really a side effect, it should increase the pressure), never had any head ache or flushing.

First of all, to clear things up a bit, I did some damage to my penis last summer that resulted in weak transitory erections and premature ejaculation. Nothing worked until I tried viagra for the first time, then shortly afterwards I started tampering with the SSRI’s to help me last longer. I never taken a dose over 50mg of viagra as of yet. And I guess I just started pumping myself full of the cialis, in an attempt to acheive this full flaccid hang and such. Yesterday, I consumed no cialis. Took a 50mg dose of viagra before bed time, and whalaa, I woke up with a boner that took quite a while to calm down. So much seems to contradict itself in this passage you may be thinking. But yesterday I didn’t take my 10mg of prozac, just because I believed it to be causing my low erection quality even when on ED drugs. The ED drug and SSRI were both prescribed by the urologist. As far as healing goes, I wrap my penis in a warm towel every morning and evening. And when I do have sex, I never intend on ejaculating. So if I can prevent it, I do.

Invictus: I don’t jerk off. That furthers the time it would take to heal.

So from here on out, I’ll try alternating the low dose of SSRI every other day, and just stick with the viagra before sex/bed. And slowly introduce the cialis back into my system in maybe a week. I was just overly concerned with the effectiveness of these drugs starting to ween down, because I never had wood like I did the first night I tried viagra, I was 95% of the time over the course of three hours. And though I was told the low dose of SSRI, the only effect I would get was delayed orgasm. Seems to have accumulated to that of a higher dose, just from the feeling I felt yesterday. Almost like when I had a doctor’s prescribed dose of an SSRI last year I could barely sleep at night.

I had a theory though, Dr. Lin always spoke of prostaglandins good for healing of the penis. That’s why he recommends borage oil (GLA converts to PGE1) supplementation. So why wouldn’t my penis heal, if I just did prostaglandin shots straight to the targeted area? Can anyone expound on this?

In all honesty though, I’m glad to be better condition now than I was a few months ago when it took forever to achieve 80% erection, just to ejaculate a couple seconds after penetration.

Sincerely,
Daysdrag

P.S. I turn 19 tomorrow!

Happy bday daysdrag.

So how much do you think the SSRI affects your EQ? I am asking this because I have been thinking about going to the Doc’ and asking for some too.

Honestly I think you should consult a proper doctor when mixing and varying your medicine. I really wish I could help but you just seem to be playing around with the drugs, not really knowing anything about how they work and taking them needlessly. I really don’t mean to offend, but you are young enough to really look for a more permanent solution to your difficulties. I don’t think you want to be experimenting with Viagra and Cialis for years to come.

A lot of the medicine you are taking has a varied half life, for example lowering the IRSS might take some time (like 2 weeks) before you actually feel any difference, and you keep changing everything from day to day, mixing up any result you may be getting, confusing things even more. See a doctor, describe him your problem, and work with him to sort things out.

About borage oil: http://en.wikip edia.org/wiki/G … -linolenic_acid Says here the anti inflammatory effect appears after months of usage. And is not certain, might be a reason why you haven’t seen result yet.

Prostaglandin come in many shapes and sizes and most are mediators for inflammation, and I have no idea what and in what quantity you injected any, so please be more specific. If could be that some produce only a local dilatation of the vessels and nothing else, but some promote fibrosis, which you don’t want in a penis. Please be careful with things you inject as you may be doing more harm then good.

Happy Birthday!

SSRI’s main function is to alter your brain chemistry, the lowered libido and altered response to stimulation are side effects. Messing around with your brain is nothing to be taken lightly, and going on SSRI’s because you want the side effect is - at best - misinformed. The idea of a doctor who ignores the primary effect of a medicine (to see if a side effect would be beneficial) is surprising- what kind of mechanic would suggest you use Slick50 instead of resetting the valves?

Thanks Mgus; I understand SSRI function however, Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor. I was depressed though, and I understand the medical anatomical side effects. Although I chose not to undergo SSRI medications, for depression, I have been considering going on them for the side effect, of premature ejac.

I was waiting to post tonight after I had sex, to see if the SSRI has finally helped me. In all honesty, it doesn’t seem to delay my orgasm any better than viagra did alone first time use. Actually, it seems the only side effect I received from the SSRI was decreased libido a in better spirits, in the sense that miniscial things haven’t really bothered me too much as they normally would.

Back to what I was able conclude from tonight’s intercourse, I still felt like I would blow just as quickly 3 weeks into the SSRI treatment as I would’ve the first time I tried the viagra. Which was adequate, if done at a steady pace. I tried xanax to help delay orgasm, but instead put me in a zombie state and tired; not really interested in sex at all. Perhaps I’ll run another trial of this.

kingme: You’re absolutely right I’m going to tell the doctor everything I’ve experienced the last couple of weeks. In fact, I’ve been taking the low dose of SSRI since may 16th. And if the xanax does indeed help, I don’t think that would be an intelligent route to take. Almost like taking a few drinks before every encounter just to last longer. Only way I can help myself is if I’m explicit with the doctor.

Thanks for the birthday shout outs everyone. This past year has been a pretty rough one, but feeling very optimistic for whats to come.

Xanax? Is there anything you haven’t tried?
Xanax does not work to delay orgasm, and should not be taken without a prescription. It has a lot of side effects which include these: http://en.wikip edia.org/wiki/A … am#Side_effects Doesn’t that seem like a very long list?

Right now you are looking for a quick fix to a problem you don’t really know very well. Please stop taking drugs erratically and follow the treatment prescribed to you, or at least stop mixing and changing them around. Stick to a treatment, seek a doctor’s help, and trust a bit more.

To reply to the whole SSRI debate before, these kinds of drugs have been proved to work in some cases, but not as effectively as previously thought. In fact, they have the sexual side-effect of delaying ejaculation only in between 30 and 60 % of patients. So if you try them you will surely get the antidepressant effect, but only some will get sexual responses, and this will vary to some degree (also the studies regarding the subject of treating PE with SSRI so far have been aimed at patients with severe PE problems, ejaculation in under 60 seconds).
That is why there is such variation on these boards regarding the subject.

I hear arsenic helps with premature ejaculation. The trick is to take enough, they say.
