I don’t know that testosterone gel applied to the penis would do a thing for you as your pituitary regulates testosterone in your system. If it sees more testosterone in the body then it thinks there should be, then it will shut down the testosterone production in the testes. Your boys don’t run the show, the pituitary gland does.

Apply gel, testes stop producing. Take away gel, testes start producing again. At all times, your pituitary gland is seeking to produce x-amount of testosterone and it will fight to keep that level even if you add more. The trick is to get the pituitary to want to produce more testosterone and there is a way to do that. I used Clomid to do so and it helped quite a bit. I stopped taking Clomid as I was feeling better but probably should get back on it again though I can’t afford it now as I don’t have a job or health insurance. My testosterone levels are low, both bound and free. I don’t have morning wood or generally much interest in sex though I do get surges of interest in it at odd times.

As far as “natural” supplements that boost test, you can try zinc. I think zinc can be effective at increasing free testosterone in males who are somewhat zinc depleted (many of us are; we lose a lot of zinc when we ejaculate). You can also purchase ZMA, which is merely a trademark for a certain ratio of zinc/magnesium. In my experience, 50 mg per day of zinc has the same effect.

There is a lot of anecdotal evidence of other compounds (yohimbe, tribulus, DHEA, etc…) but I think much of the result will depend on the quality of what you’re getting (not much regulaiton for supplements) and your particular response.

As far “apply gel, testes stop producing; stop gel, testes start producing again”, I somewhat disagree; certain types of steroids will disrupt the HPT axis more than others and dose and duration play a role as well; you may not get any real disruption to your endogenous production. Conversely, simply stopping a cycle is sometimes not enough to kickstart endogenous production; you may have to take HCG and, as you have, clomid.

Exactly my thought. Men who take propecia and then suddenly stop do not all of a sudden get a burst of DHT and go completley bald! Also if this hormonal theory worked I think the body builder population would have stumbled on this technique
before anybody. Starve the body of testosterone rather than feed it. that would certainly change the side effects of steroids(If it actually worked).

I don’t think so… The theory does seem logical, Lin’s practices are too obtuse, but I’m waiting on the ones who read “the book” it to chime in whenever they can summarize this theory specifically. Cycling does seem to be very reasonable.

I used to play sports when I was younger, soccer mainly (well the one that gave me the most injuries), and I got nailed in the gonads a good many times. Some of the times soo much that I would just bend over and think my dick fell off, I’m serious. I’ve always thought that this hindered my full growing potential during puberty because I vaguely remember when my father, as all fathers do, helped when I first got trained to use the bathroom. I remember looking over and seeing mad girth, lol. So this theory, technique, whatever may you, is of keen interest to me. I’m not jumping any guns yet. I just want to see where this thread goes *add to favorites, before I look more deeply into it.

I just don’t like the selling-the-book stand point, other than that it seems reasonable.

There are other approaches. Like I said, see the thread Static Stretching Seems to Promote Excellent Growth. There’s Gerry’s device, and also MonekeyBar’s forthcoming new sleeve. I’ve been testing a different type of sleeve for the past month, and wearing it basically 24/7 with less effort and less discomfort than any other PE method.

I’ve seen that thread. I’m not interested in doing any sort low technique all day. You misunderstood. I was agreeing with a few others that if this new revolutionary idea is as such it’s very disappointing because it’s been pointed out already. I now understand that, that’s just an exercise way of boosting this “secret sauce” theory. They are both separate parts of this topic: Low all day vac and, the section I’m seeking, depriving/booster cycles of the DHT.

So this finasteride or whatever he uses deprives it. Wouldn’t it make the penis smaller? Maybe a PE routine wouldn’t yield to that. And then the DHT can take over in cycles. I don’t know there needs to be more info on this. Heya google, but anyone is free to chime in.

From what I`ve read in this thread, the trick is to boost your testosterone levels after this period of very low testosterone. How long has it been since you stopped taking Propecia? Do you feel hornier? Has you dick grown? :)

Oh, and isn’t this doc talking about using low force vacuum DURING the period of increased testosterone levels?

I’m not liking the gamble of side effects/possible causes I’ve found on the net from messing with this stuff. Count me out, I’ll take another road…

I can say an amen to that Freedman I started taking zinc on a regular last year, and in honesty it certainly did make a significant difference. I do not think it was necessarily a coincidence.Last January I started taking some…I will tell you this even though I am young I had not feel that horny since I was 13, I was having erections in all sorts.Listen 5 months into the year I begun to notice hair on my chest and my face….in saying this my mother who I have not seen for two years made a remark relating to this. I may be wrong as it may just be coincidence however I am a fellow whose testosterone levels were lower in the height of puberty, I could not do much as it was expensive but I remember the doctor advising back then to take zinc on the regular.I am going to try phone the doctor up and see if they have my old results and I am trying to get a new testosterone check but as many of you know getting anything done here in the UK is a mission. This is proving to be a good thread and thank you all for all your input.

Sorry I forgot to add that during that very period when I introduced the zinc in, I also experimented with a Tribulus Terrestris like product and this may have had some influence in some manner or another.

I just thought of another way to discredit this hormone cycle. If DHT improved the size of the penis than steroids would be the number one choice for chemical PE.

You do have a good point there Manhattan because I have not heard of many bodybuilders reporting gains in the size of the members however there is most certain a better flaccid hang as I have heard from one of my friends however DHT does play a role in our formative years however there after I do no think it has much impact however I am looking at it from the old school perspective and may be open to correction.

I may be wrong, but what I think the author is suggesting is the increase in DHT only works after a deprived state.

There are other analogous situations from bodybuilding, too. Some drugs like clenbuterol can only be taken for short periods of time because the receptor sites get downregulated quickly and the drug loses its effect.

If nothing else, it’s an interesting theory.

Doc's Secret - Similar to the Low Carb Diet

The Doc’s theory is very similar to the low carb diet theory which is pretty much accepted as a working theory. There are insulin receptors in the body that become less and less sensitive to insulin upon the ingestion of carbs, causing the body to push more insulin into the bloodstream, causing more fat storage. “Starving” the system of carbs causes the cells to become more insulin sensitive and which leads to less fat storage, and more weight loss.
