I need some help with the UK drug legal system

Hi, recently in the past few months ive suffered from insomnia. This isn’t aggrivated from caffeine dosages as I don’t consume caffeine before usually 6 hours from desired sleep time. I have found it extremely difficult to sleep and it takes 1-3 hours to try and willfully sleep (and this is with Diphenhydramine HCl) And it takes a lot longer without. I have been taking around the dosage of 50mg-100mg of Diphenydramine, this did work for maybe up to a week or two but now I feel i may have become immune to its effects and its simply not working. I have researched medical information and was annoyed to find Valium and Diazepram as being under Class C (because some stupid people use it to get a ‘high’ i can’t get it legally, its a narcotic/controlled thing). I went to my local NHS clinic queried about my problem and then they wanted to prescribe me with Diphenhydramine, I keep telling them that this doesn’t work for me but they dont believe me and insist it will. They might be thinking im requesting Valium/Diazepram for illicit purposes and I can’t prove im not, I don’t think I can either get any of these 2 drugs from an NHS clinic either as they are likely to only stock Diphenhydramine as it isn’t private. Does anyone know what I can do? I do distrust most internet websites, even then reputable online pharmacists wouldn’t touch the drugs im after.

You need more than six hours to get all of the caffeine out of your system. Try going cold turkey for a week and see how you sleep then.

I’m no expert in this field, but it seems to me that Valium shouldn’t be your first choice in solving insomnia problems. As I recall, that stuff is addictive. Caffiene, diet, stress, emotional issues - have all of these possible problems been taken care of?

From what I know I drink a cup of coffee in the morning and maybe a coke can between 3pm-6pm. I wouldn’t know if im a ‘stressed’ person, lately there can be said to be stress from A levels I guess, but to be honest im fairly confident in scoring high when I get my results. I don’t believe I have any emotional problems, if I did I may have had long before my onset of insomnia. Infact, now I feel pretty well as it is. I guess my problem is that im thinking too much whilst trying to sleep, so much thoughts in my head. Lately ive changed, ive become more positive and confident. I take Ginseng+Ginkgo biloba, 2 Omega 3 fish oil capsules, General nutrition supplement with all nutritions ie: B vitamins, coenzyme Q10 minerals etc. And a drink with water and Vitamin C+zinc dissolvable.

Though to be fair during the exam period I do always take a coffee and energy boost supplement but my exams are always in the morning. I still blame my inability to sleep more on my constant ‘busy busy’ mentality, I wouldn’t call it stress I would say im too active in thinking ie: I may be thinking of politics, or a person, or food, or a comment made earlier today etc.

I generally don’t get into depressions, it’s just insomnia. when I was a teenager I could cope with 3-6 hours and didn’t feel as tired as someone else who had 7-8 hours sleep. Now, I find it too difficult to sleep at the times I want to sleep, and for the desired length. My best efforts to sleep before 12 never work, I put the fan on, turn all unnecessary heat off, perhaps play some ambiant music. Nothing works anymore, not even the legal sleep tablets as ive built a tolerance(even when following recommended dosages). I may have screwed up my body clock when I was a teenager. It might not be that as even then my inability to get sufficient sleep was due to my lack of effort as I would watch tv or play games on the computer etc. Some days I sleep a total of 12-15 hours after nights of trying to get sleep and not being able to. I haven’t touched any recreational drug in about 8 weeks so I doubt its this. (except a week ago but it was only a little wacky backy, didn’t affect things).

Hell, I might even use wacky backy as I get tired from that, but meh, I just want a normal sleep again :-(
I just need something to knock myself out.

I don’t get addicted to nicotine so if it’s like that I can fight it. Im a health concious person.

Anybody else sense a pattern here? I’d be working on the relaxation part, meditation etc.

Do you work out properly, get your body tired regularly? I’d definitely stay away from stronger drugs, since you have already developed a tolerance to the over the counter variety.

I hope its legal, I read it that thread that GHB are illegal… Hmm…

Mgus: I don’t know, nutritional supplements are different from drugs. The only real OTC drugs I take are sleeping tablets or anti-histemines for acute hayfever.

Even then the nutritional supplements I take are suppose to help sleep in some way. Hmm, I been taking them for months and I have had decent sleep, just only some weeks before hand my sleep quality has declined since summer. Im quite a healthy individual, I have the exact ideal BMI for my age and I regurly take walks and exercise but im not a bodybuilder.

GABA and GHB are similair but not the same thing. One is the precurser or cousin to the other. I suggest that you just see what GABA shit is sold over in Limey Land and if it isn’t banned, try it out. It might work for your situation, it might not.

I am far from the Chem Nazi on this site. But I think you can find anything you want about it fairly easily. SS4JELQ used it, and he is in your nation. Maybe they banned it recently. But I know you can get it here.

Hehe, I hope they don’t reclassify pot as class B. And diet slimming tablets are class C, wtf? Im pretty sure obesity is more acceptable aswell.

I hope this stuff doesn’t produce an “Andre the Giant” voice, or cause premature hairloss. Bleh, I guess it won’t hurt and I will have to put my faith that it will be more good then bad.

A/AS levels cover 2 years, I was 16 when I finished GCSE and I was 18 a year ago(October)

Nutmeg is the best value for fucking yourself up. You can smoke it, snort it, and eat it. BUT YOU CAN NEVER INJECT IT EVER. The results mean DEATH 100%! Mouthwash is also good for when the bars close to drink. But I never did either. They are too cool for me. I am a big square.

Speaking of domestic items. Cough medicines, sudafed, motion sickness pills, paracetemol, green tea, oral b brushaways, solvents, benadryll. Enough said, the list goes on and on. Every room is an area where disaster could happen.
