I need brain drugs! help? :) herbal even just something that WORKS!

I’ve been reading about nootropics thing is in the US most are not FDA approved and require a prescription and lots of cash. In other countries they are sometimes over the counter drugs and CHEAP… There has to be a legal and relatively cheap alternative that will produce the brain boost of a prescription drug. Here is a supplier from outside the US thing is its prolly illegal to get them or even try and since I don’t know how to check the import laws for specific drugs I am SOL :(

When brain drugs are talked about on the net its often “Piracetam” aka nootropil that is talked about. There has to be something herbal and legal in the US that will give a big mental kick without a script doesn’t there?

Gingko Biloba helps in that aspect, I believe.

I guess nootropil is not controlled after all… no FDA approval but no prescription is required either as this stuffs from Georgia. Should have just searched with google to begin with and not believed what I was reading about having to order from out of the country. The info I got ahold of may have been old, mis-interpreted or just wrong my opinion on this is that its old. - bought the nootropil, ginko biloba and ginseng I am a sucker for “free shipping” with purchases over a certain $ amount…

My “brain drugs” kick came from testing out a stimerex-es sample sent with my Damiana and lecithin order (stimerex-es is sold by “hi-tech”)… I was so incredibly wired but the point is I was recalling and thinking about things I never would have otherwise and I realized I needed something to boost my brain. If it was not for the caffeine (dehydration), jitters, cold sweaty feeling, adrenaline rushes and constant mood swings I would have bought lots of stim :>.

What do you mean by ‘Brain drugs’? Something to improve your attention span, memory, what?

nootropics are drugs (maybe drug is too strong a term) that increase intelligence IE: better short term memory, long term memory, cognition, longevity etc… Basically super supplements that have a positive effect on the brain by making you “smarter”.

I see. Not sure about some of those but here’s something I’ve tried.

I have recently been extremely busy with my business. I was practically killing myself from the all-nighters and full days and heard about Modifinal. Wished I had found it years ago! Perfect way to stay alert and energized. I take 1-100Mg tablet and I can work for 10+ hours after the point I’d usually been crashing and burning. I don’t use it all the time though, only when I have a huge project of some sort. Some further descriptions include:

Modifinal also called (Provigil, Alertec, Vigicer, Modalert’, etc) is a memory-improving and mood-brightening psychostimulant. It enhances wakefulness and vigilance, but its pharmacological profile is notably different from the amphetamines, methylphenidate (Ritalin) or cocaine. Modafinil is less likely to cause jitteriness, anxiety, or excess locomotor activity - or lead to a hypersomnolent ‘rebound effect’ - than traditional stimulants. Subjectively, it feels smoother and cleaner than the amphetamines too. It may even be anxiolytic. The normal elimination half-life of modafinil in humans is between 12 - 15 hours. So it’s worth fine-tuning one’s dosage schedule accordingly.

Experimentally, modafinil is also used in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, depression, attention-deficit disorder, myotonic dystrophy, multiple sclerosis-induced fatigue, post-anaesthesia grogginess, cognitive impairment in schizophrenia, spasticity associated with cerebral palsy, age-related memory decline, idiopathic hypersomnia, jet-lag, and everyday cat-napping. Depressives who feel sleepy and fatigued on SSRIs can augment their regimen with modafinil. In September 2003, an advisory panel to the FDA endorsed its use for treating shift work sleep disorder and obstructive sleep apnea.

Regular and progressive meditation will do more for your brain than drugs ever will. Most peoples’ minds are like blunt tools, that have never been put to proper use. Meditation sharpens this tool and taps into it’s real potential.
Test how sharp your mind is. Imagine a single object in your mind’s eye, devoid of other objects. Focus on keeping just that single object in your thought and reject all other thoughts. I doubt that you make it past 30 seconds. Very few people do, to begin with. Thoughts will just float into your mind, against your will. You will soon realise just how little control ‘you’ actually have over your own mind. The untrained mind does the governing of what you think and when you think it. Only through meditation can you start to gain control over your own mind and your own thoughts.

Don’t be put off by the idea that meditation is used in spiritual rituals. You don’t have be the least bit spiritual to become proficient at meditation. Meditation is simply the taming and suspension of your uncontrolled thought processes, in order to culture deep and profound clarity within. To sharpen that which is hopelessly blunt.

There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world: and that is an idea whose time has come.

Bulknutrition have some really decent prices but I am concerned about customs seizing my items and so forth. I have been order from for almost two years without any problem however their stuff is really pricey. If any of you know of any cheaper or alternative suppliers within Europe let us know.Thank you and in having said the above I guess the cheaper price is worth a shot…we’ll see what customs do.

Also doing a detox diet, trying to get rid off all the crap food you eat will help your concentration.

I’ve recently started doing yoga for my back problems and I think it’s great, I was surprised how much it effected my mental side of things rather then just the physical side. I’ve found sleeping alot easier, and feeling more refreshed when waking up, and I’m happier then I’ve ever been. Ill sound like a hippy.. But you should really try the natural side of things before getting into drugs.
