I still consider myself a newbie, even though I’m 2 & half years in. In that time I’ve gained about.375 in length and girth.

I incorporated pumping into my routine 4 months ago. Which I attribute my last .125” of gains of both length & girth. Over the last month I’ve also got back into adding clamping, jelqing & manual stretching back into my routine. I sort of got away from the basics after getting the pump. But, with adding the things that I got away from with the pump, I really feel I was/ am on the verge of more gains.

My routine over the last couple weeks is, 10min. Heat pad, 5 min.manual stretches, 10 min. jelq & ulis, 10 min. clamp, 20min. pump with heat, 10 min. clamp end with edging 10 min. When possible 2 on 1 off.

Today after the jelq/uli session I noticed right side, mid shaft appeared swollen & darker than the left. After looking closer there’s a lot of red spots in that area. I stopped routine. No pain.. EQ not the best.

Any advice would be welcome, thanks!

Red spots are broken capillaries that can be caused by either the pumping or the clamping or both which cause a lot of internal pressure in your penis. You should always mention what pressure you are using to pump with because that has a direct effect on damage. For newbies, starting pressure is 3inhg and after conditioning you can use 5inhg maximum for a very long time with great results. Clamping is tricky and dangerous for newbies as it is very hard to determine how much internal pressure there is and therefore causing damage is quite easy to do.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

For the first three months I always stayed between 3 & 5 hg. Over the last couple weeks I sometimes end a session up to 7hg. Ninety eight % of the time I’m under 5hg.

If this is an actual injury I don’t believe it’s pumping related. Yesterday was an off day and I didn’t notice it until jelqing today.

But, I could be wrong. I’m not 100% sure.

I appreciate & respect your opinions Gprent! What would you recommend for the near future?

Another thing I should probably add, is when I am pumping I can pack most of the right side. But not even close on the left. I think due to curvature?

For the near future, I would say take a couple of days off to let the red spots heal and disappear. When you resume, perhaps separate your routine so that you don’t combine pumping and clamping on the same day and see if that helps eliminate the problem.

It could be any of the three aggressive exercises, and the best way to find out which one is to isolate them one at a time. But whatever one or combination, you should back off on the overall intensity you are using. Remember, PE is not a sprint, it is a marathon.
