Firm vein & shaft swelling

Hi I’m new to the forum (and PE in general). Hopefully someone can help me move this to the injuries forum.

I’m a 36yo in good health. Not a ton of exercise lately but often a lot of jogging and moderate weight lifting. Smaller than average in height/weight. Somewhat regular alcohol/marijuana under.

I’m on minoxidil & Finasteride for hair growth (recent hair transplant procedure). I take Aleve fairly regularly for neck/back pain. Generally healthy eating habits. No diagnosed mental or physical conditions besides chronic neck pain.

I started PE a few weeks ago, relatively light stretching & manual jelq (5-10 mins in shower). About 5 days ago when I woke up I noticed a pretty significantly firm vein and noticeable swelling on the right side of shaft. It gives my penis a leftward curve.

The vein is sensitive and a bit uncomfortable to touch but not painful. Swelling feels fine. It has gotten a little bit better over the last couple days but certainly not gone. No additional pain/discomfort when erect.

No medical opinion yet. Trying to gauge the severity and how much I should be concerned. Stopped all PE. Trying to avoid activity but I have had sex/masturbated (no noticeable pain). I’ve been applying light compression for a few minutes at a time, as often as I’m able.

Does this condition sound/look familiar to anybody? Possibly it will recover with time?

The vein could be Thrombosis. There’s plenty of threads on here about that. I’ve had 2 or 3 over the years.

I would recommend heat and massage for the vein. Like trying to massage a knot or of your back or neck.

As far as the swelling, I wouldn’t know.

But take a break from PE till healed.

Thanks Lookinforgirth- if it is Thrombosis, is sexual activity generally safe while healing/abstaining from PE?

Any estimation for how long that healing process usually takes?

In my experience sex is ok. First one I had lasted almost a week. The other 1-2 were about 1-3 days.

If it is thrombosis, it should feel like tiny bb’s in the vein.

As far as your swelling, if I were you use the search function here. I’m pretty sure you’ll find something.

Having continued inspecting and researching for a few days, I’m more convinced it may not be Thrombosis, or actually a vein at all. It’s more of a skin-color/translucent than vein-like. Based on what I’ve read, I think sclerosing lymphangitis. Seen a few threads about it but from what’s available online it might self-resolve. Most recommend avoiding sex though.

Swelling has certainly gone down. Wondering if that was likely from trauma of rapid onset or something. Will certainly be on the lookout for it to come back. Hopefully clears up in a few more days/weeks.

Never heard of it. Be patient, PE is a journey, not a race.
