Opera

Opera uses its mail and news client, MX2, to handle feeds. Opera 7.5+ wil handle most RSS feeds but not Atom. It cannot handle authentication as of this version so limiting use to guest feeds its sensible.

Creating a subscription is simply a matter of locating either the of the RSS buttons at the bottom of each forum page. Before clicking a button, log out to ensure a guest feed.

Either of these will function properly but the RSS 2.0 subscription is provides more information, some of which Opera actually makes use of.

Clicking one of these buttons should both cause the standard Opera window to attempt to display the feed and pop up the MX2 window.

The details for the subscription are shown under the Thunder's Place title in MX2, showing the number of unread messages and the forum title if appropriate.
