The 1000 Mile Journey
I started PE back in October 2012 and have made some gains over the years. Typical newbie gains which I am thankful for, but over the years I have been what I’d call constantly inconsistent. I would do workouts, but all over the place with no real plan or progress. I have had minimal gains from this approach.
Having drawn inspiration from some of the greats here like Drilla, Tntjockey, Tietleist, Big Girtha and most recently HoustonWoods, (plus numerous others, too many to list) I have come to a place where I can PE regularly in a mindset that I will do this for the rest of my life, rather than a mad sprint for gains. I like the quote “fall in love with the process and the results will take care of themselves”. I have often been discouraged by the slow nature of things, but now am wiser and calmer about the whole process.
I am using this log to track progress, pics, help out where I can, and to just use it as a form of accountability. I am a gadget fiend, having acquired a whole bunch of gear over the years. This is true in other areas of my life and not just specific to pe. But my approach is more from a manual aspect using stretching, jelqs, light/moderate pressure clamping and edging. I have tried many things and although I have no ill feeling towards the many approaches and devices, I’ve come to the realization that it is the routine that I can make a part of my life and consistently do that will bring the results Im after. I will post more info and background in future posts, but this was just the first step for me to get my thread up and running. Feel free to comment, ask questions or whatever you feel. Im trying to be as transparent and ‘open book’ as I can.
