Thunder's Place

The big penis and mens' sexual health source, increasing penis size around the world.

Newbie and medical student says hello - will update regularly

Man, I don’t know why that happens and I don’t want to know. I learned it by experience. Practical things.

I have not spoken of lymphedema, I say that the jelq produces an accumulation of fluid in the penis (transient), so I still do not understand how it can drain them .

I repeat, it seems a paradox.

But talking about lymphedema I think that the principle of treatment always follow the direction from the periphery to the center, as I read for example here:

That principle is correct but it is not always possible to drain from periphery to center. When you have a leg with lymph edema it works perfectly because you have a long, narrow leg you can work on, and you have incompressible bone underneath. The penis: not long enough to effectively try that, and even if it was you have no rigidity in the centre. So the best option would be to just apply pressure.

I agree that it’s a paradox that some people get the donut effect, the opposite seems more likely. I will try to find out more!

Thanks for the honesty in your answers man… as you have seen, I’m sure, a lot of this is opinion and speculation, and it’s really nice to see something a little more concrete every once and a while haha… good luck making gains!

The point is to help each other here. I hate seeing a man dissapointed. It makes him miserable and weird. That’s why we have to deal with pricks every day in our lives.

The point is to help each other. Less pricks, more happy guys.

I have reached my goal. At least for now.

Good afternoon! (Here in the Netherlands at least)

It was a busy week, and an even busier weekend (I completely destroyed the bathroom with the purpose of making it prettier, and so far it looks like the Gaza strip but with reaaaally nice shiny floor tiles) but I think the time is ripe for a weekly update. I wanted to share my routine, and in my enthusiasm I forgot it in my first post. So, I started jelqing a few months ago, and only these last two weeks I made my own routine. I experimented and came up with something easily doable. It doesn’t take a lot of time, actually feels quite good and is a good moment to relax. “Count the jelqs, empty your mind” would make a great bumper sticker.

First of all: I stopped masturbating. It helps. It’s really f***ing hard sometimes (pun intended), but it actually feels right. Sex is much better and more rewarding too.

Secondly: I managed to cold turkey myself out of porn. That was even harder. I actually installed the Block Site add-on for Chrome to redirect me from my most visited porn sites to a vomit-inducingly colored Justin Bieber fanpage. Believe it or not, that works. Imagine wanting to fap furiously and then get slapped in the face by a pink site with lots of hearts, pictures of him and hearing that wailing “baby, baby, baby, ohhhhhh”.

Thirdly: I believe that those great gains I made in the first few weeks are 50% actual gains and 50% increase in erection quality or EQ. Groovy.

Finally: I try to add an element of consistency by working out more. Every other day I take a morning run, and jelq afterwards. On the days I don’t run I do strength training in the evening, and jelq afterwards. On sundays I usually do none of the above and just have a jolly good time.

So, my routine in a nutshell:

1. I go and stand under the shower. Considering I have two functioning legs, that is pretty easy.

2. I do the usual shower stuff for 5-10 minutes (shampoo, soap, playing with rubber duckies). So far so easy, right?

3. Stretches: regular stretches using both hands, at least for 5 minutes in total, in all directions. I already had my junk warmed up from showering. I never stretch “too far”, meaning I want to be at the point just before I feel discomfort or pain. Anyone who can reliably open a door without hitting themselves in the face should have no problem here.

4. Jelqing: I use regular soap, it’s nice and slippery and my skin doesn’t get dry easily. I use a good lotion afterwards anyway and I am trying to find a good lube to use. Simple, OK-grip or Y-grip 3-second jelqs at an erection level of 50-60%. I picked up a tip here: feel the head of the penis once in a while. At the apex of a jelq you want it to feel as rigid as during an erection, or slightly more rigid. If it’s rock hard, you are applying too much pressure. I alternate with an underhanded grip, where I use the OK-grip but with the thumb and index finger at the base. That way I have the impression I can get closer toward the base. Right now I’m at 200-250 jelqs in sets of 50. This is actually the only difficult part, you need to feel what is right for yourself. Blindly using someone else’s routine could result in gains, and they could also result in a very, very bad day. Don’t be that guy.

5. Rinsing off and stretching again. Like step 3, only exactly the same. I usually stay in the shower for a few more minutes to relax a bit. I do some kegels while I’m stuck there anyway.

Some measurements?

7 July 2015 (start of jelqing)
BPEL: 6,7 inch (17 cm)
Girth: 5,1 inch (13 cm)
Flaccid length: 3,9 inch (10 cm)
Flaccid length, stretched: 6,3 inch (16 cm)

22 august 2015 (after 6 weeks)
BPEL: 7,3 inch (18.5 cm)
Girth: 5,3 inch (13.5 cm)
Flaccid length: 4.7 inch (12 cm)
Flaccid length, stretched: 6.9 inch (17.5 cm)

30 august 2015 (after 7 weeks)
BPEL: 7,3 inch (18.5 cm)
Girth: 5,4 inch (13.7 cm)
Flaccid length: 4.7 inch (12 cm)
Flaccid length, stretched: 7.0 inch (17.8 cm)

Curiously enough no real length gains but a bit of girth for this week. Then again, it’s only been a week and there is a lot of variation between measurements and days. I definitely feel a little bigger every day! Mental note to self: take some more measurements in the week, maybe every morning before jelqing. Consistency, consistency, consistency.

Also, I found a great avatar to use but can’t upload it yet because of my newbie status. Damn.

Have a lovely day!

Looks solid. It’s too early yet. Don’t measure all the time.

I agree with bill10. Even in weightlifting and stretching, some days you think you get no progress, or even reversed progress! It depends on a lot of factors. E.g. While I was doing a regular routine to be able to squat properly (a lifetime of sitting makes you stiff as a broom) some days I’d be able to squat more, some less. I would think I had lost progress - or even plateaued - but it’s just like evolution. You can’t compare sizes between days or weeks - you need to do it on the order of months.

Anything new needs time. That’s what I have to say

Even though your skin doesn’t get dry easily I would recommend you to not use soap anyway. I have always read and heard from doctors that you should never use soap on your junk, rinse it with water or use baby oil to clean it :)

On a side note, as a medical student why do you think most medical professionals discredit PE as nonsense with absolute certainty? How can they be so certain, surely all of them can’t have tried it methodically and come to the informed conclusion that it’s bullshit?

The reasonable scientifically sound assessment of PE should be more in line with: “It’s effecacy is unlikely but we don’t know as more research is needed”.

I don’t use a traditional bar of soap that causes that dried out feeling after rinsing, but a cream bar (oooh feminine) that is just as slippery but at the same time rehydrates the skin. And I use a good lotion after drying off. If I notice the first signs of dry skin I will stop immediately!

Agreed, if I had to write a one-line summary on the evidence of PE I would say something like you: “Efficacy is currently unproven, with results on the whole being confounded by A. Measuring bias (no independent control), B. Contamination (not everyone has the mindset to PE consequently), and C. Confounding effect (most people start PE as a part of “life improvement” where healthier living also has positive effects)”.

And, if I’m honest, us medical professionals are a very egoistical bunch, and we don’t believe that anything done by a non-professional works. Hell, most of us even have trouble believing that doctors from another specialism do anything right ;) . It does keep competition and standards very high, but at the same time it causes a lot of skepticism. And that is much easier than spending 30-60 minutes per day doing PE for months to see for yourself!

I totally agree, but that doesn’t stop me from measuring weekly. I am not deterred by weekly differences, as long as the trend keeps going up ;)

I will say this. Recent check up. Cholesterol levels 204. HDL 67. LDL.153. The cereal guy will know what I am talking about. So my doc says it’s not bad but since you are a heavy smoker, I would suggest to quit or reduce it cause in time you risk a heart attack or a coronary dicease. So I asked, don’t you want to check my HCY levels first and then asses the risk?

And the doc was like << Yeah….well… if you want we can do that… but… >>

I rest my case.

While my experience bears this out as well, Marinera found a scientific study that seems to suggest otherwise:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4498826/

But I hope Cereal Guy keeps a log. When he gets out of med school, he might want to consider doing a paper on PE. There is very little published research in scientific journals, and almost nothing regarding which methods work best.

The study is rather limited! When I stopped laughing because they call porn “VSS” or Viewing Sexual Stimuli. VSS according to me is a pretty awesome stealthy Russian sniper rifle, the VSS Vintorez (http://data3.primeportal.net/armory…ifle_8_of_9.jpg). That out of the way, I read it.

Results (abstract): More hours viewing VSS was related to stronger experienced sexual responses to VSS in the laboratory, was unrelated to erectile functioning with a partner, and was related to stronger desire for sex with a partner.

Results (article): the desire to fuck (or as eloquently as they put it: erectile functioning with a partner, and desire for sex with a partner) increases a score list from 40 to slightly over 50. Significant, but not exactly world shocking. Especially if you realize the score goes up to 112! (http://www.midss.ie/content/sexual-…ventory-2-sdi-2)
So imagine if you have a car that can drive 40 mph, you now can go 53. On a road that allows you to go 110. It’s a major problem in scientific papers, and you need to dissect a paper to get this kind of bullshit cleared out.

Not to mention that the videos are all between 20 seconds and 3 minutes long. If I get to watch porn for 20 seconds you can be damn sure I want some more. It’s a bit like dangling cake in front of someone and then check if they suddenly became hungrier. Tip: you get zero scientific credit points for guessing ;)

To be fair, I expected this. The more sex is on the mind, the more you want it. The problem is that it sets unrealistic expectations. The average girl I have sex with doesn’t look like that, sometimes that’s a good thing and sometimes a damn shame. The stuff they do is not arousing in real life at all, with a few notable exceptions. Watch any documentary on porn, I recommend the one Sasha Grey made. It will make you laugh, and then feel sorry for those girls, and then laugh again.

Another problem is that porn leads to more porn, and what starts as softcore (just nude pictures) can gradually end up as hentai, as bukkake, as public restroom mentally disabled midget double penetration voyeur porn (no idea if this exists). You get the point.

Also: I would love to make an article on PE. I would find the perfect anonymous userbase here: hundreds of people who can fill out self-reporting forms! Problem is, I am not going to be a urologist, but a radiologist! I would get asked a lot of really, really awkward questions! :)
