I Have A Weird Popping Or Snapping

Hi there I’m New here and been doing PE for a couple years on and mostly off, but nothing of any significance. So when I do manual stretches and stretch downward I feel this small snap or pop at the top base of my penis it doesn’t hurt but it happens only once every time I do my stretches. And it doesn’t hurt even after my stretches. Would anyone here know what is causing or why this is happening? Any knowledge about would be kindly appreciated

Sounds like a lig (ligament) pop to me. It usually happens with a strong downward manual stretch and although it is very freaky, it is harmless.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Ok thanks a lot Gprent. It was kind of concerning to me, should I take some time off or just use less force when pulling down?

You don’t have to take any time off because no damage was done. To avoid them, use less force when stretching straight down or stretch and use angles other than straight down. Straight out, to the left and right or up, or stretch while making “giant” circles.

Used to get those when I was 20 and fucking hard. Startling but nothing to worry about. Probably a good time to get stretching gains.

I regularly get lig pops and it is nothing to worry about. In fact, ever since I started getting them I’ve seen an improvement in my gains.


Aug 2015 - 7.0 x 5.25

May 2018 - 8.8 x 5.8

Yes, I get this occasionally. Like gprent says, as alarming as they are, they really don’t amount to much. But I certainly wouldn’t want this every day. It’s one of those nails-on-a-chalkboard feelings for me.

I only have had this happen during sex, maybe like 5 or 6 times and it always scared the crap out of me but never do I experience pain or discomfort from it. Before I knew what it was I literally thought I had broke or harmed my dick lol

Lol, yes, that happened to me when I first started and I just about freaked out. But, it is harmless. Now, if there is pain that’s a different issue.
