why pumping for long periods?

why pumping for long periods?

Hi guys!

As you know I am quite new to pumping and I am incorporating it into my regular PR routine which is mainly for girth.
I wonder why most advices tell to pump for several 10 to 15 minute or even longer periods at low vacuum to expand the penis. This seems to leave me with fluid buildup only, but now with more expansion.
How about getting into the pump at moderate pressure, then pumping the pressure up to a high level for some seconds and return to moderate again, repeating this process several times. This seems to give me the same expansion (or even a better one) like the longer routine without the fluid buildup. In addition it feels much more like after a good sqeeze workout.

What do you think?
I will try to experiment some more with pumping.

Best regards
Darian

I’m assuming you meant your PE routine, not PR. Though I guess in a way we are all pumping for PR as well.. :)

Anyhow - I think that on this forum you’ll find that most pumpers think that it’s best not to pump for longer than 10 minutes in any one session (at least not on a regular basis). I, for example, only pump for 4 sessions of 5 minutes each. The main reason for this is - as you said - in order to avoid fluid buildup.

Regarding pumping the pressure up and down again, this has been mentioned a few times before. I think avocet8 is using this technique, am I right avocet? I do use it sometimes as well but not enough to be sure of it’s effects.

I think this might be an interesting issue to discuss, and the fact that you feel like after a good squeeze workout is interesting.

Any ideas anyone?

Interesting, I get MASSIZE fluid buildup from shorter sessions with high pressure, and only a little buildup from long sessions with less pressure. I think most people are like me, but I could be wrong.

We have to define what is moderate and what is high pressure.

I usually go from 4Hg minimum to 6Hg maximum, but I rarely go past 5Hg for more that a couple of seconds.

There are several reasons why I think shorter sessions at moderate pressure are preferable, but everybody is different.

1) Less chance of tissue damage at high pressure

2) Fluid buildup (‘donuts’, and the like) are less a hazard

3) Short, repeated sessions give a good and repeated exchange of freshly oxyginated blood. This encourages flushing of your arterial/venous plumbing of buildup of fibrous and cell “gunk” which accumulates in these vessels when you are soft for long periods of time - 16 hrs is a long time to be soft for a healthy dick, and this is the primary reason why we have repeated nocturnal erections.

4) Oxygenated blood encourages healing of micro-tears from your pumping session expansion and other exercises you might incorporate between pumps. Static blood on the other hand, (long pump, like a half hour or more/no exchange) just encourages cellular compromise. Cells need oxygen to divide. A lymphatic fluid-filled dick on the other hand looks great for awhile, then the fluid is reabsorbed. Next day: same dick.

At least that’s the way I tend to look at PE change.

pressure

Hi!

The problem is that with low pressure my penis is filled after a 5 minute pump session but not expanded at all. I have to go to a higher pressure level to get a good expansion but I didnt dare to stay with it for longer times so I use this pumping up and down technique at the moment.

I dont have a pressure gauge attached (and cannot find one over here in germany tune up my mityvac) and for that I cannot tell how much vacuum I am pumping at actually. What I mean by low vacuum is when I start to feel the vacuum on my penis. At this level it is not pumped up longer than a regular erection and the head doesnt expand much. Higher pressure gives and intense feeling of expanding tissue and a tight tug at the base of the penis (guess at the ligaments) with a swelling penis head.

Fluid buildup has been very moderate for me up to this point no matter if I use high or low pressure, though I have not tried the high pressure for longer periods. This is kinda strange because I get alot of fluid buildup from jelq and sqeeze exercises very soon, but not so from pumping. Maybe it is because of the pumping up and down technique.

avocet - Your thoughts about the advantages of shorter pumping sessions make perfect sense. I can just add that my penis feels much healthier since I shortened my sessions.

But you didn’t comment on the changing pressure during the session issue. Am I right that you too do this sometimes, and do you think there might be more into this technique that is worth exploring?

Darian - I think your approach of experimenting is the right one, we have to remember every one is different and not exactly the same routine will fit all. So don’t be afraid to explore different approaches as long as you keep monitoring the results closely to avoid injury. And keep us posted.

I wasn’t sure what you meant by this. For me it is usually a matter of short duration pumps, coming out of the cylinder, deflating some, then another exercise, then pumping up again for the return of oxygenated blood.

I do sometimes push the envelope by increasing pressure by a couple points to get fuller expansion and stretch, but only to the level where it still is painless and I know I won’t blister as a result. Is that what you’re talking about , Braker?

What I meant was changing the pressure during one session - so let’s say you pump at 4.5Hg for 3 minutes, then you raise the pressure to 6Hg for 5 or 10 seconds and then you lower the pressure again to 4.5Hg for another couple of minutes.

That’s just an example, but of course there are many variations that can be done with this technique. I seem to remember reading that you or someone else does this a lot. I do it from time to time, but never really explored this type of pumping.

Darian says this technique “seems to give me the same expansion (or even a better one) like the longer routine without the fluid buildup. In addition it feels much more like after a good squeeze workout.”

So I was wondering if this is worth exploring further.

(I’m very tired and after a few vodkas at the moment, so I apologies if any of this still doesn’t make any sense..)

Braker;

Yes, I do that but with a good chardonnay rather than vodka.

I do that sort of pumping also. It does give good expansion and without fluid build-up.

Somebody suggested way back, was it Modemmer? that “edging” at your maximum safe level gives an especially good workout with the pump.

pumping

Hi guys!

I have been pumping for some days now with this pumping up and down techniqe and I noticed a massive increase in flaccid size, even the day after (but no fluid). The tissues seem to be stretched alot because the flaccid penis expands everytime I pop it out of my briefs and let it hang loose.
Manual PE has already made me a little shower out of the grower I have once been, but the last week of first pumping experiences hit the roof. I hope this will be permanent.
But I cannot tell if this is from plain pumping or from the new technique I used.

Greetings
Darian

Darian,
I was doing something similar a few weeks ago. I would normally be at 5 in Hg, but pump up to 9 for a few seconds, then release the vacuum back down and pum it back up repeatedly near the end of my session.

I only did this for about a week, so I don’t know how effective it would be. But I didn’t experience anything negative.

Pumping does not seem to produce permanent gains? Or does someone have some serious data on
How long it takes and the time that must be spent per day/sets etc? To get permanent gains?

I pumped for around six months solid daily, and all I had to show for it was a much darker penis after taking
Six months off, fortunately it is back to a normal color now, but I am questioning pumping all together?

More info would be really appreciated by all.

Jim

What was your routine, Growing28?

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

It would seem that you were overdoing it. I am finding that I get the best results when I try to avoid damage and take some rest days. Yes, the darker color was a sign of damage and it should be avoided as well as daily pumping. You just can’t get growth from a constantly damaged penis.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.
