When to increase the pressure or time?

Hi guys,

I have been pumping for around 3 months now, not really with any routine but just on feel. I’m going for length so have a tube that stretches fine.

One thing I have wondered with fellow pumpers is when do you know you should be increasing the pressure?

I can comfortably handle 10hg for 10 minutes. But what are the telltale signs you should increase the pressure? is it when you can’t feel a strong stretch anymore or do I change from 10 minutes to say 15, or even 20?

Or is it better to go to 12-14hg for 10 minutes?

Just curious as to when people realise they should increase the pressure during a set.

Apologies if this has been answered but searching increasing pressure gives so many results I struggled to find an answer.

I had better indicators by increasing the duration instead of the pressure.

At high pressure the fluid build up was pronounced along with a visible donut effect. My mistake was that I hold high pressures for too long. If you pump to high pressures for few seconds you can avoid this.


Start 6.8” x 4.7” (4.9" BEG)

Latest 8.2” x 5.1” (5.3" BEG)

I would say that 10”hg is already too high. Just for fun, try pumping at just 6”hg for 30 minutes continuous and see what kind of results you get.

For my routine I always start at a low pressure of 4”hg and after a few minutes increase to 6”hg and go for 40 minutes continuous. I get no trauma and a pump result that lasts all day.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I think increasing time not pressure is the way to go. 10 hg is on the high side of pressure. I pump for 10 min. At 5hg then take the tube off and massage and Jelq for 5 min. And that is one session. I do two or three sessions in a row and get really good results.

Yes, just the one set. I think you will be impressed with the result, or at least I hope so! :)

I went from my BPEL of 17.2cm to 17.8cm by the end with no side effects which were superb.

Do you think one set would be sufficient to simply work on length?

I’m tempted to try 40 this evening.

I am glad you are happy with the results. The 40 minute set should also work great for you, but just once per day. Trying to rush PE doesn’t work, but patience and persistence does.

Okay great - so how long would you recommend staying at 40 minutes? When should I look to move to say 50 minutes? so I presume the longer time in the tube spent is more beneficial than the pressure? I don’t want girth, simply length so want to stick to a routine that has been tried and test and that worked.

I think stay at 40 minutes for a month or so to see how your results are doing. Once you are at that point, you have reached the expert level and should start making changes based on your own results. If you are happy, stick with what is working. Very often trying to continually do more is a recipe for negative results due to trauma.

You may want to try a second round at a different time each day. I did 20 minutes in the morning and again at night. I also did a 45 minute session several times a week and included pulse pumping during the sessions.


Start 11/09 BPEL: 5.5", EG: 4.4"
