Water Pumping Basics

I used the advanced search function and couldn’t seem to find anything but little bits and pieces here or there.

I also searched the internet without much luck.

The reason I asked is because I have the brass Harbor Freight brake bleeder pump, and it occurred to me that it should work for water pumping, as it comes with a reservoir, etc. I have been using it for “regular” pumping and it is great. I like the idea of having warm water heating my penis during pumping — I would expect it would help a lot with expansion.

Relevant links on Harbor Freight Brake Bleeder Kit:

If you don’t know of an existing tutorial, would somebody be willing to step me through what’s involved and what to avoid/watch out for?

THANKS!

I ventured into the newart forum to see if I could find some info there.

MY EYES! MY EYES! Boy do they love to post pictures of their lymph filled units.

At any rate, again I couldn’t find anything other than the sketchiest info (don’t get your pump wet, don’t make the water too hot).

I don’t have a water compatible pump so instead I take it off and suck the end of the hose to get the pressure going, and then hold the end of the hose with my finger when I get to my desired pressure (little trick I learned from myeight). Then I usually collect hot shower water in my mouth and deposit it in my tube before sucking out the air and repeating until it’s about full of warm water.

Lampwick = believe it or not I had only turned up ONE of those. Obviously I need “advanced search” lessons because I can’t operate it to well!

THANKS! I really appreciate it.

RandomGiant -thnx for the tip!

Happy to help. The more you do it, the better you get at it.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

Water Pumping -- HOW TO

I thought I would consolidate some of the info in those threads Lampwick cited. I am reformatting some of the posts just for clarity.

NOTE: If you pull water into a pump with a pressure gauge, you will wreck the gauge. The HarborFreight pump and the Mityvac 4000 (I think) both come with a reservoir cup to catch the fluid, which prevents this from happening. However as sparkyx points out, you do not need a cup to water pump if you are careful. Buby uses the same technique that Random Giant uses.

WATER PUMPING — HOW TO:

What you do is fill the cylinder so it just covers the top of your penis, leaving air at the top of the cylinder.

Keep the cylinder fairly upright to keep the air at the top. In this manner, you are pumping air through your hoses and pump, which transfers the vacuum to the water, which then transfers it to the penis.

An in-line cup is good to have, to avoid any mistakes. It can be bought, or probably easily made from pvc supplies. It does not need to me clear, just empty it out at the end of the session if you pulled some water in there.

There is one chap on line that doesn’t even use a pump! He just pulls a vacuum with his mouth on the tubing, clamps it off and has a good soak in the tub! If you use discomfort as a guide (avoid it!) it probably will work fine!

One more thing. I use the Mity-vac set up with the overflow cup ($30. at Auto Zone) and I don’t even get any water in the cup. Just be careful not to let the water level reach all the way to the top of the cylinder (I have a 2X10 in cylinder) and it should be no problem. If you are worried about damaging your pump, either buy or make an overflow cylinder or use the mouth vacuum method.

Water pumping in the shower

I add hot water to the tube (you have to experiment with how much to add so that when you put your penis in you have room to pump without the water entering the pump) then pump up to about 2hg which will keep it in place while showering.

The water in the tube will remain the same temperature as the shower water (as long as you keep it passing through the water as you would normally while showering)and it will give you a great low pressure warm down.

The key to keeping the water out of your pump is to make sure that the water is at the bottom (down by your pelvic bone) and hold the tube straight up so you are pumping mostly air.

If you feel that you gotten any water in the pump just spray a little WD40 in the end of the pump and pump it about 20 times, it will displace the water and lubricate the pump parts, probably a good thing to do anyways every once in a while.

From then on I use my mouth to pump and when it is all full of warm water I reach a pressure that is completely comfortable, seal the tube and start reading something. Every ten or twenty minutes I release completely and give it a few strokes of jelq starting very lightly. Girth increases are amazing.

1. Can handle greater vacuums forces without fluid accumulation or discoloration to the skin.
2. I find that the shaft is expanded faster to the cylinder walls, than condom pumping with much less vacuum needed.
3. Done in the tub allows constant heat during the entire session.

I am starting to believe that the opposing forces that effect the outcome of pumping effectiveness is the vacuum force needed to create expansion verses the fluid migration into the skin and surrounding tissues. Water or condom pumping allows you to use enough force to allow tissue expansion, with minimum to no fluid accumulation in the unwanted areas. I like the water pumping better because it seems to be able to generate greater “effective” vacuum forces that expand the girth much quicker with a lower “absolute” vacuum force.

Most people recommend using lower pressure to waterpump than you would use for air pumping, certainly to start out with. Sorry no quotes for this one…spread around various threads, though.

A How-To from betterman forums

This looks like a pretty good method. I am going to combine multiple posts, and reformat it to make it a little clearer:

I can’t see how this would work in the shower as you wouldn’t be able to submerge the tube and you would ruin your pump, so to water pump, you must be in the tub.

WATER PUMPING:

While I am running a HOT bath, I use Enlargel to work up an erection. I use the Gel to pump with as, I believe, the vacuum really helps with the absorption of the Enlargel and the clean up of the tube is very easy.

I get a good seal and pump to very low HG, maybe 1-2 in.hg. Just enough so the tube doesn’t fall off.

I get in the tub, with the hose and pump still attached to the tube, being careful not to get the pump body wet. I’ll sit for a few minutes while everything warms up, maybe do a couple small pumps to get everything re-stretched out.

I then pull the scrotum sack away from the base of the tube to break the seal slightly while holding the tube with the other hand. I let in just enough water to cover half the glans. (You may have to slightly let the vacuum off to be able to break the seal)

When I have the desired amount of water in the tube, I’ll go ahead and slowly bring the vacuum up to 4-5hg and then I’ll remove the hose and pump.

I do this session for 15 minutes.

I have found that I get NO soreness, red spots, or fluid build up with this method. Plus, it really feels great.

When I reach the end of the session, I re-attach the hose and slowly let the vacuum off until the tube is just barely sealed, being careful to hold the tube upright so as not to suck any water up the hose, but still have a slight pump going, maybe for another 5 or so minutes. I’ll let the vacuum off until nothing is on the gauge and still have a great expansion.

Then I again remove the hose and just leave the tube on until I’m ready to finish my bath. I then just pull the skin away from the base and the tube just floats off. , sit there for another 5 minutes before I just slowly pull the scrotum skin away and let the tube float off.

This routine usually takes about 30 minutes. Of course I only do this when I have extra time in the morning. I usually take a shower.
If anyone tries this, let me know what you think.

Also of interest is his full routine:

http://www.betterman.com/41598-post19.html

Quote
While I am watching the morning news I warm up for 10 minutes. I can bust through the Newbie routine in about 25 minutes and then a 5 minute warm down. I then go run a hot bath and water pump for 15 minutes. The rest of the bath usually takes another 10 minutes. Then about 5 minutes for 50 or so wet Jelq’s and another 10 minutes using Enlargel to pump again, so that’s what? Just a little over an hour for girth work? Then in the afternoon I’ll hang for 10 minutes, massage and Helicopter shakes, hang for 10 minutes, same and then another 10 minute hang, so all in all I figure I devote around 2 hours to PE. Of course I do the 3-parts and manual stretch throughout the day.

Note — Enlargel is some kind of “Penis Enhancement Gel” just so you know. Just substitute “KY” everytime you read “Enlargel”

I’ve still not tried water pumping, but this looks like it would work really well.

Another How-To

Loki’s method, from the same thread — I have combined a couple of posts — also adding Bold:

I lube the penis and the seat of the tube, put penis in the tube and pull it tight against the pubic are, I sit down and hold the tube in a position where there is an air pocket on the very top, then I hook up the vacume line to the tube and quickly get enough of a pump to seal the base to the pubic area, then I work my way up to 4-5 Hz. Then I wrap a towel around the tube to keep the water hotter for longer. I also use hair conditioner as a lube.

I stay pumped for about 10 mins. then I rattle off 100 jelqs, repump for an other 10 mins., I do this stagger pumping and jelq routine till I get as many as 600 jelgs, but no les than 300 jelqs. I start with the pump and end the session with the pump. When I’m done I am so girthy and it lasts for hours. I also feel it gives me an edge on keeping the right amount of blood on my penis to do some good jelq work, if I get too soft, I then pc flex blood into my shaft, grip the base and very lightly jelq. I use very warm water too, you must be careful with water temp though, it might feel ok to your hand, but it will make your penis screem, I test the water with my wrist first.

Not having pumped or water pumped, I’ve a few questions for those of you that have:

Would it be possible to put on the pump in the bathtub, fill the tube and suck on the hose to suck up water to the top of the hose and then press the tube to seal it against your body and continue sucking on the hose?

Since one of the methods is to suck with your mouth and then submerge the hose in warm water to fill the tube, why not the other way around?

Would this method need lube? Since you have water in the tube, you won’t be pulling skin against the inside of the tube - is lube necessary for the base flange not to chafe?

Perfectly OK Mgus, But you would get a mouthful of bathwater as you continued sucking. But water pumping really needs a gauge on the pump as the vacuum builds up more rapidly with water.

OK, but I think someone here mentioned “comfort” instead of a gauge?

What about lube, would you still need it? I expect the idea of the Bathmate is that the rubber flange would allow you to use it without lube (at least I didn’t read about it anywhere).

If it’s rubber then water is fine as a lubricant. (ever tried walking on a rubberised floor that’s wet?)

I think that ‘comfort’ is OK when trying it out (providing you’re careful) But serious pumping demands a gauge. And is a must with water. I found it a bit confusing as with water you feel more ‘pull’ per amount of Hg. so it’s easy to think that you are taking it normally when it is too high.

I would suggest the way to look at it is air pumping pulls ‘linearly’, and water pumping pulls ‘exponentially’

Probably doesn’t actually work like that, but I think it gives an indication of the two effects.
