WATER PUMPING > Air Pumping

Your dick is the limiting factor here. It doesn’t matter if the force applied is from air, water, or 7 whores squeezing your dick, it can only stretch so far and that is it.

I have already reached the limits of what my dick can take using air.

How is using water going to change that?

So eight whores would be overkill, then? :)

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

If you will only see gains at 5 in hg or above, yet cannot tolerate it, then its very relevant. Water can allow you to pump at a higher vacuum level without surface damage compared to air. Water may make the difference between you not seeing gains with pumping to having it being very effective.

My point is not to argue the absolute value of the different methods of pumping, rather point up that there is a difference and it may be important to you.

I remember my penis got temporary discoloration from water pumping way faster than from air pumping and I’m talking about literally only 5-10 minutes using no more than 3”-4” Hg. I guess people react to it differently, but I sure as hell don’t prefer water over air. :)

Interesting. It may well be that the water expanded the base of your penis more, and decreased circulation more than with air. I have never heard of someone getting more edema from same level of water pumping as air…which is the true indicator of surface stress. Although, when I use really hot water it produces far more edema that with cold. Lots of variables in water vs air.

I have a suspicion that the temperature of the water is to blame for some of the temporary discolouration, the hotter i use the worse it seems to get,

I’ve read that excessive heat can cause hyperpigmentation.

Temperature seems to lower the threshold of edema migration out of the capillaries and into the tissue. However, most times I find darkening of the temporary type is due to decreased oxygen. If that happens with hot water, it may be because you had greater expansion which cuts the circulation to a greater degree.

I will say, I experimented with ice water pumping and it always came out of the tube nice and pink…not sure of the mechanism.

But its like edema, I have had guys I respect tell me that its ok to get edema, that they found they needed to put up with some of it to get gains. I like to avoid it as much as possible, but I found now that I have hit 18 minutes @ 5 in hg, I am much getting more than usual at say 17 minutes. I will continue to use that time and vacuum set and see what that does to my gains. I think that I may NOT increase time next week (by one minute) until this edema level drops.

So many variables to play with !

I did try using cold water yesterday and i can emphatically say i wont be doing it again haha, found it deeply unpleasant .

I find 3hg is my maximum and even after 45mins to an hour i get no fluid build up, any higher and i get skin damage almost instantly,

the colour i’m sure now is melanin based rather than bruising, looks just like a tan with a few freckles thrown in , seems to fade with rest and appropriate treatment.

So did anyone gain anything from water pumping? I use the Bathmate but I am still very unsure if I gain anything. Might just be a waste of time…

I believe I am seeing gains with it, but my range is rather narrow. I have seen gains at 5 in hg, but not at lower or higher vacuum. So if you are similar to me than, gaining without a gauge might be difficult.

I think with a Bathmate, use the LUV method and try moderate vacuum for a few weeks to a month and pay close attention to EQ. If you don’t have high EQ I think you won’t see gains. If you have high EQ from your pumping, give it a few weeks to see if you begin to push up the max LUV achieved at that same vacuum level.

Also, I think it is beneficial to do stretching or even bundled stretching every 5-6 weeks to break up adhesions.

Thanks sparkyx! I will read up on the LUV method and give that a shot.

Hello pumper’s forum, I recently started pumping for the first time 2 weeks ago and am very impressed by its potential. I’ve only been pumping for 2 weeks but have gained a lot of knowledge from this forum. I stuck to exclusively air pumping for the first week and took it slow to “break in” my penis per se, and then the following week I tried water pumping. From my observations, water pumping produces significantly more expansion with less stress on the penis. My theory is that fluid pumping decreases penile surface stress via two factors: a more equalized distribution of pressure, and more actively the compressibility of water (or lack thereof) which directs all of the vacuum pressure to penile expansion. I am not an engineer, so my knowledge of fluid dynamics and vacuums is limited (or non existent), but due to water’s ability to resist compression at normal temperature [0C-45C), that means its volume stays relatively unchanged when pumped. What does change instead is the pressure acting on the penis as inner pressure expands it outwards. Air on the other hand will expand as vacuum pressure is applied which seems to apply more surface pressure/stress to the tissue via a pulling sensation on the skin.

With water, I warm up by pumping slowly with warm water for 5-10 minutes, and then switch to cold water for 20 minutes. I notice greater expansion and less edema with cold water. I believe this is because as pressure is applied to the water, it heats it up while also heating up the surface tissue of the penis (this occurs with air as well) which stresses and bruises the skin. Cold water cools the tissue under expansion. This is just my theory from playing around for 2 weeks. I hope somebody with a scientific background can figure out what’s going on. All I know for sure is I achieve an extra 1/4” with water versus air, and another 1/4” with cold water versus warm in regard to LUV with fewer negative effects.

Precisely.

When you have a tube filled with “penis” and “air”, and you remove some of the air, you have a tube with slightly more penis and slightly thinner air.
When you have a tube filled with penis and water, and you remove some water, you have a tube with less water and more penis. The water won’t expand like the air would.

Thank you. The logic of it is very clear to me though I’m certain I will get flamed for posting this.

edit: I don’t want to start a war with all of you die hard air pumpers. This forum is about expansion. If you personally get better results with an air pump, by all means do it.

.,

What makes you think this ?
This argument raged for days but I reckon you have summed it up nicely.

I’d be really interested in knowing how many people have gained real/non-temporary girth from water pumping/Bathmate. I know Raybaby has gotten 1/4” and counting. Other people with similarly well documented gains seem to be hard to come by though.

I’ve only had mine for a month and half now. This time next year, I will post my results. I think the lack of documentation is partly due to so few users. The bath mate is not all that cheap.
