How often does one pump? I have read through this entire thread and can’t seem to find anywhere where anyone mentions their days on/days off routine with the pump.
I have only been doing manual PE for 2 months now, and am working a 2 on/1 off regimen. Does pumping also follow the same routine, or is it a daily activity?

I recently purchased the LAPumps deluxe pump set and plan on following the Pumping 101 routine posted on this thread very closely.

I like to pump at least 5 days per week, usually Mon - Friday and take weekends off. I do this in the morning before heading on to work.

Peforeal

I did the same as peforeal. I liked the intensity of 5 days on, but enjoyed being free of PE on weekends.

Now, on “maintenance,” it’s once or twice a week. [Peforeal won’t go on maintainance until he needs a wheelbarrow to haul that thing around. :) ]

Well today was my first day that I tried to pump and I just have a few questions. So I went to “Canadian Tire” and bought myself a brake bleeding pump for $90(I know, it’s expensive but it’s all they had so I will buy one off of ebay and return it) Anyway, I then went to petsmart and bought a 1 5/8”and a 2” cylinder. I put everything together and this is my problem.

1- when I’m totally erect, my penis doesn’t fit in the 1 5/8” cylinder. I’m only around 5 inches in girth. I’ve been reading that it’s not good to go in the cylinder with a lymph penis. And also that it’s not good to use a cylinder to big for nothing. So what do I do? Because it’s recommended with a girth of 5,25” to get a cylinder that’s 1 3/4”. As I said, I’m only around 5”. Should I go in with a lymph penis?

2- I’ve been reading not to exceed 5”hg but when I get just over 3”hg it feels like the cylinder is going to rip right through my testicles, lol. Is this normal? I only can last about 2 min and then the pressure against my testicles is to much. Is there anyway to fix that?

Great.. Thanks for the advice. I have ample time before work as well.
Now for my next question. I just received my LAPump deluxe set and the gauge on it already reads 4in Hg. I’m not a scientist or anything, but shouldn’t this read 0 (zero) under a steady-state (no vacuum) condition. I live at nearly a mile high elevation, but I can’t imagine that the pressure here is causing that much of a reading on the gauge. Should I just calibrate the needle back to zero?

Also, I gather that the 5in Hg suggested pumping vacuum is relative to the initial reading on the gauge. For the gauge on my pump, I should pump the reading to 9in Hg (since it starts at 4). Otherwise pumping only a single inHg seems trivial and wouldn’t result in anything. What’s your suggestion, reset the needle or just remember that the pump has a 4in Hg inherent offset?

I haven’t started pumping yet since I want to get all the information before starting, to ease my mind.

Or ask LA Pump to send you a working gauge. Some guy here on the forum reset his gauge to zero. I can’t remember who he was now, even though I do remember giving him some shit about fucking it up.

I finally made it through this whole thread and I’m ready to buy my first pump from LA pumps. All I can say is thank god they make an 8” cylinder for my 25 1/4” EG penis. (Ha ha) Anyway, thanks for all the info you guys have compiled here. Truly a great site.

If you have a PE question, post it in a thread in the Newbie forum. You have a better chance to have your question answered this way. Also, use search.

If this type of question belongs somewhere else let me know and I will move it. I went from jelqing to the penimaster about a month ago and just received a Kaplans pump setup. It has a 2” x 9” tube. Read the directions, lubed up, got erect, stuck it in and went to 5Hg. Great, no problems but the tube is packed from glans to base and so I pull it off and lube some more etc and go again. Same thing. I have read a lot of threads and they all say this is good if you want length (which is my primary thing) but with my glans packed tight it looked lick an O-ring sealing the inside of the tube and more pressure doesn’t sound like the way to go. Stupid to ask but do I need a bigger cylinder or just let things happen or?? I appreciate any help and tolerance of my posting learning curve - lol. I am doing the PM and pump 5 days a week as of today and for now that is all the PE I am doing. Thanks!

If you are fully packing your whole shaft (vertically and horizontally) in the cylinder, then you can move up another 1/4” in size. Doublecheck/measure the inside diameter of your cylinder to be sure that it is indeed 2.0”, especially if you go and order the next size up and want to be sure. Also, when you’re packing the tube, you should use less vacuum pressure so as not to cause pressure blisters. What is your maximim girth along your shaft?

I have a goofy spear shaped unit. It measures from 5.25” just behind the glans to 5.875” just in front of the scrotum, which is what everyone refers to as the base right? Anyway, I just got this today and the opening ID is indeed exactly 2” across and the order sheet doesn’t list bigger tubes by size. There is a longer “expansion” tube available with no ID size given. I may have to buy another cylinder somewhere else. I thought I would be safe going with the 2” after reading threads about such things but now I am not sure. I am going to continue to use it unless the general consensus is that it will be a waste of time with this tube size. Also, unfortunately there is plenty of tube length left when pumped so that is not an issue. Sorta funny too as I am 6.5NBP out of the tube erect and only measure taking up about 6” of the tube pumped. Thanks

The shape of your dick is like mine and others, which I refer to as tree-trunk shaped (narrower towards the glans and thickest at the base). I can see where you’re packing the base of your shaft quickly with your current size, and your dick must respond very well to pumping to pack the upper part of your shaft in the same way so quickly. You may have to purchase another wider cylinder from another source, but no more than 1/4” up in larger diameter size which translates into about another 3/4” in girth. Interesting difference between your in-tube and out-of-tube erect size. It should be the opposite, so maybe you’re still not getting the max benefit of stretch in your current cylinder.

Thanks for your time and response. Just a couple of other questions and I will go quiet and get to work - lol. Think I will get ANY benefit to this tube until I get a replacement or just wait to continue? The tube I have from Kaplans is not straight but tapered slightly and this is why I pack it now I am sure. Any suggestions on a good source of replacement tubes? Again, appreciate it!
