Vacuum Pumping when you have ED; the short version, according to Avocet8

Avocet did you find something serious on the web about pumping?

I am not going to spend a lot of time doing your research. Here is one that I found in about 50 seconds. I’m sure you can find more on your own if you are interested.

You should concentrate on pumping correctly. You are only a little more than a week into this. Don’t expect great results overnight.

I’m not impotent but if this device can improve my erections power I would start training and maybe even see if they can provide me an increased girth in the months.

But I would like to assure me this device at least improve penis health instead of the opposite.

Easily found, robbie2073.

Some examples:

Use of a pump after prostate surgery for erectile function rehab:

Another trick is to combine the use of the penile vacuum tumescent pump with these medicines. For example, a man will be instructed to take ViagraTM on a daily basis and also to use the penile pump from one to four times a day. I have described the pump in other blog entries. The pump forces blood to enter the penis. Normally a constriction band (a small rubber band) is placed at the base of the penis after the pump is used to keep the blood in the penis. During pump "therapy," however, this is not used, and the erection is allowed to become soft. Several studies have been performed showing the benefit of these treatments in causing erections to come back more quickly following surgery.

Dr. Alexander Berry calls use of a pump "penile pushups":

This device has been shown to prevent penile shrinkage that can occur after prostate cancer therapy. Length and girth can be maintained during the healing process and the recovery of your own spontaneous erections during the 6-12 months after surgery.

Vacuum therapy in diabetics:

Vacuum therapy may even allow you to return to normal function after continued use. If fact, it’s the first line treatment by the American Urological Association recommended for treating erectile dysfunction. There have been some indications that even healthy men can improve penile health and delay the natural process of erectile dysfunction by using vacuum therapy daily.

I could go on, but to address your question, vacuum pumps are for more than just ‘on demand’ erections.

Great links great research so I can accept vacuum pumps can help penis health if it use properly without overpumping and I for sure I will start pumping. But I would like some advice.First of all you think I should continue with Bathmate waterpumping or buy a professional one prescribed by doctors?

Second don’t you think is better to be follow by a doctor to know the optimal way to do the therapy avoiding all the risk and check up with him sometime to see if everything is going well?

Money are not a problem for the health of my penis.I prefer to save money in others way.

A PE doctor? Doubt they exist my friend.

#1. The first thing you need is a heavy dose of patience.

#2. Have the right mindset. Can’t be believing that you will achieve gains by leaps and bounds more quickly than anyone else by simply doing more, which is like saying re-read #1.

#3. Incorporate it into your lifestyle, not some trivial past-time. If you’re serious about it, a long consistent moderate routine will be better than a “rush-to-gain then quit when results don’t meet unrealistic expectations” routine.

As long as you are effectively moving forward, than that on it’s own will always lead to more than if you did nothing. Time passes and we all get older regardless of what we do.

Very good points, all.

If we all get older regardless of what we do, we can make slow steady progress and get older and have a larger unit, or we can just… get older.

I have ED due to diabetes, I have been seeing a highly regarded Endocrinologist for fifteen years. I have discussed herbal supplements and alternate solutions to diabetic problems. On each occasion his reply is that he does not have a problem with alternate treatments, but he has only been trained in medical treatment and would not want to get involved in a non-medical procedure.

I have been using pumps for over a month together with PE and have not seen any significant permanent gains. However, My ball sack remains at least 1/3 larger as long as I pump it once a week. My penis girth stays somewhat larger (1/4 inch)for a day or so. I have not had any length gains yet. The temporary gains after pumping (1/2 in in both length and girth) last for an hour or so and significantly enhance the sexual pleasure for both my wife and I.What gains I have had encourages me to continue my routine on a regular basis.

Avocet8,

I have been following your routine (with some minor variations) for about a week now. This morning I had the best erection in five years. I posted a more detailed thread in the newbie forum.

Thanks for your advice. I will let you know if the results are continuing.

ED and PE

I started air and water pumping two nights ago along with my PE. I have actually woken up two mornings in a row with an erection. I started having ED two months ago due to low testosterone and started PE to help combat it, then after a diagnosis a few weeks ago started HRT. The testosterone helped quite a bit but still no morning wood. Immediately after beginning to pump it has come back. I am pumping twice a day with jelqs in between sets in the evenings, and stretches whenever I can get them in. Also noticing a fuller flacid hang most of the day, and especially after a session.

I started with the aquarium tube and hose to try pumping, but I am packing the cylinder pretty good. After the first session I can only get back in the tube if pretty well lubed. Should I stay in this tube if I am trying to increase length only. I will work on Girth during my manual excercises for now, then try with the pump after I get some length.

Good going, redwings. Especially after so little time at it.

If the tube gets very cramped, move up another size. For now, sounds comfortable to me.

The water pumping is the best. I did Horse 440s and jelqed after I water pumped, and the base was the fattest I have ever seen. The entire shaft is staying fat. I am hooked on this. I am definitely holding a longer and fatter flacid throughout the day. Although I left the vitamin E oil in the shower and the wife has not said anything yet. She does not know I have been PE’ing for almost 2 months. She has to think something is up.

Sounds like something _is_ up for a change. :)

Hi avocet, I don’t know if you have seen my thread (Weak penis from overpumping?) about me possibly injuring myself from overpumping. So basically my eq, spontaneous and morning/night erections have all disappeared. What I was left with felt like a weak/deflated penis. Like it really hard for me to even achieve a full on raging erection, unless I am super turned one (which has only happened lik twice). I injured myself about 2/3 months ago, then I saw this thread and actually started this program monday. I was just wondering if I can tell you what I am doing and you let me know if everything looks alright?

I am pumping between 2-5hg, staying in the tube for only 5 minutes. Then I take it out, wait for my penis to lose it’s plumpness and then pump again between 2-5hg for another 5 mins. I do this 4 times. Then when I am all done I apply the heat pad/wrap for 10 mins.
Does this seem about right to what you mentioned on your first post of this thread? I’m not overtraining it am I? Also I was wondering if anyone else has tried this and had some success with gaining their eq back.

Have you tried water pumping to air pumping. I notice a big difference for me personally, and my morning wood came back almost immediately. I was also suffering with ED.
