use an air pump as a water pump

Hi,

I messaged a couple of suppliers of standard air pumps and, according to them, the mustang air pump set can be used as a water pump. The balloon shaped pump cannot but the press lever (only sold as part of the mustang pump set) can be used to pump water out. The advantage this has over the bathmate is that there is a pressure Hg gauge built in so you can monitor the pressure levels.

Has anyone heard of this or tried this before?

All you need is on of these

Put it in line with pretty much any pump.

Capernicus1 - how does that work with a pump, do you have to put the tube through the place where the air valve was?

I’m guessing here, but you have the penis cylinder filled with water, connected to the reservoir, and then the reservoir connected to the air pump. The idea is the air pump creates a vacuum in the reservoir, which draws out water from the cylinder and collects in the reservoir. In that way you can create a water vacuum with an air pump.

A man isn't measured by the size of his penis. A man is measured by his contributions to family, community, and society; and by how he treats others.

I just fill the cylinder with water and then suck out the water, taking care that no air enters.

Yeah, I doubt the gauge is water proof, it will probably ruin it. Just use the water reservoir to prevent water from getting into the pump, as the guys here described.

Marinera-what type and size of tube do you use to suck out the water?

Also the cylinder I have has the valve mounted at the top, I assume this has to be removed before the tube can be put in?

A silicone tube; you can find the size that fits better at any hard-store; you can also buy it online at thickwall.co.uk, but it is overpriced expecially if you add delivery expenses

Yes you have to remove the valve; depending on the kind of cylinder you have, either the valve can be remove leaving simply an hole, or a connector will remain, which can go inside the silicone tube.

Marinera - is it found on this page:

Www dot thickwall dot co dot uk/connectors_eur.htm, under the title ‘Super flexi silicone tubing’? If so what external diameter do you use?

Jack, let me ask: what kind of cylinder you have? Post a pic please.

Cylinder I use- Marinera

Hi,

The cylinder I use is a 3 inch internal diameter, 10 inch long acrylic cylinder with an embedded valve at the top. See the attached picture

Ok. Can you unscrew the valve? I’m guessing here, but I think the valve is screwed in a hole. Measure the diameter of the hole and buy a silicone tube that fits in. Silicone tube is available in many sizes in a number of places. Look here for example

or here

it is sold also in pharmacy, acquarium stores, hard stores etc. etc..

Marinera - thanks, the pump is not at my place at the moment, so I won’t be able to do this until July. However the cylinder is a standard one with a standard sized valve, so it is probably standard. What diameter silicone tube do you use?

the bathmate is nice to use in the shower its lite but your right no valve on it plus they break after about 2-3 months of daily use. I have been using a vacutech thick wall oval cylinder for waterpump for a month now I bought a resevoir jar off of ebay and it works well. The thick wall cylinder is a bit heavy but it feels better keeps a better vaccume. The only thing I don’t like about the vacutech is that it has no numbers so I can’t see what my length is. It is best to get a cylinder that is fitted you would have to give your measurements and they send you one that works best for your size.
