To Pump or not to pump?

Hi all,

I am 3 months in to serious PE (daily). I have some modest gains in length and girth from hanging and Uli#3s.

My EQ is all over the place (sometimes rock hard, often not) but at 48 and recently divorced this is most likely not just physical.

I am now 7.2” BPEL on a good day and 5.2” EG on a good day. At this stage girth gains are more important to me.. My goal is 5.6” EG on a bad day and 6” EG on a good day with a cock ring.

I am considering the Bathmate but I have read very mixed reviews on pumping from senior people on this forum who I respect a great deal.

It seems that most senior members warn about decreased EQ from pumping, at least when it’s overdone. On the other hand, some members report increased EQ and girth. It seems that the people who have seen positive results use lower pressures (say 3Hg) for longer sessions.

I would be very interested to hear about people’s experiences with pumping in regard to permanent gains and EQ, including some insight into their routine (time and pressure).

I would particularly like to hear *why* the nay-sayers have formed their negative opinions. Is is because of personal experience, reports they have read or simply because Jelqing is just as effective?

Thanks!

Pumping when done safely has proven to be the best way to grow permanent erect length and girth.

I think a lot of it has to do with what they hear about. At the same time, a lot of people consider the gains you get from pumping to be “cheating” of sorts. I suppose “not genuine” would be more accurate.

Before sinking quite a handsome amount of money into a bathmate, try something just a little bit on the cheaper side. This way, you can see if its for you. You’ll be able to gauge if it does effect your EQ, if you like the gains from it and you won’t have spent a large amount of money. If you find that you do like it and want to go for something a little more professional or of better quality, move onto the bathmate when you feel ready.

I will just echo a word of caution about the Bathmate that I’m sure you’ve heard: It lacks a gauge.

This is really dangerous, especially to an inexperienced, gung-ho pumper. You get super excited about the expansion you’re seeing in the tube and next thing you know, you’re at unsafe levels of vacuum. I even did this with my air pump before I started reading the pumping forums here; I was doing 30 minute long sessions at 10hg+! I’m surprised I didn’t hurt myself.

I love my air pump, and I believe I’ve gotten decent gains with a low pressure routine (I haven’t measured in a while). More than anything, it gets me excited about PE and makes it less of a chore. It feels good and I look forward to doing it. I don’t think you’ll find very many people who will try to persuade you against a sensible routine of pumping and jelqing.

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering what sort of pumps you use and recommend? Are air or water pumps the best?

OK, thanks Useless. Just a newbie so not sure I can post there yet.

Oh, in answer to your question.. I’m great. Really pleased to be part of such a supportive community!

For sure, I’m glad to be part of it aswell … my nickname tell us how I used to felt before I join here. It saved me, basicly.

If you pump at low pressures (3-5 inHg) your EQ should not got decreased, but we cannot tell you for sure what is going to happen, how your body will response to this kind of pressure.

Been air pumping for almost 4 months and it is unique exercise. Associated with constant heat (spacer heater) and Linear Newbie Routine, I’m already noticing gains and improved EQ (15 minutes at 100 mmHg, 3 times per week).

Titlelist, what is your routine? I’ve gotten some dead dick with hanging and am thinking about switching to more pumping.

If your thinking of pumping, start slowly. Keep the pressure under 5hg. Resist the urge to increase pressure. I recommend using constant heat for all of your routines.

dynamic pumping

I dynamically pump in the range 3 - 18” Hg using a Mr Fantastic water pump and it has done wonders for my EQ. I do 1 or 2 one hour sessions a day, 5 days a week. I have also gained at least 1/2” in EG ( from 5” to 5.5”) over 12 months though have not measured lately. However my wife’s pussy is feeling tighter than ever and the sex has been great lately.

With the dynamic pumping I do a build up and decline over about a 2 min cycle so little of the cycle is anywhere near the max vacuum. I found longer periods at or near the max vac cause blisters on the glans which put you out of action.

If you are interested in EQ and pumping read the posts by Avocet8. These inspired me. There are also threads on dynamic pumping or dynamic stretching and the Mr Fantastic pump.

I pretty much never have those awesome morning rage-rs unless I’ve had a brutal session the night before. I guess when you’ve trained really hard for a good while you need to go ham with the micro tears.

Bathmate issues

Not only does the bathmate not have a gauge, it also doesn’t have a quick pressure release valve. Doubly unsafe, especially if you want to ‘pack’ the tube. I have a Bathmate and an air pump (with a battery operated pump, a fast pressure release valve, and a pressure gauge), and the air pump is by far the easier, more convenient and safer pump to use. And cheaper! No contest. As for pressures, 5 inHg seems to be the recommended max level for new starters. See what works for you. I have seen statements about 10 inHg being the max pressure anyone should consider even for very short times, but I don’t know of any medical evidence for this. Indeed, it might be worth searching the internet for actual medical guidance on the use of pumps. Basically, the higher pressure you go the more quickly you will get noticeable oedema. I never pump to painful levels - but the level of pain vs pleasure is a personal thing I expect. I also try to enter the pump as erect as I can be, and kegel while doing it, to try and get the best possible stretch at a lower pressure, rather than rely on pressure alone to stretch me.
