Tip For All Pumper's

This is a tip for all pumpers like the name of the thread states. I got this one from rereading Vacuum Pumping 101 and modifying something Avocet 8 mentioned. So see guy’s it does do good to go back and reread post.

First you will need a felt tip marker like a sharpie and a ruler or a tape measurer. Next measurer from the very bottom of your tube too the top and wright a line for every inch. ( If your tube has a flared edge don’t measure from the top of the flared edge but from the very bottom ) Now were you wrote the lines, mark right beside the lines 1,2,3,4,5…etc ( for people who still don’t get it, it should look just like a ruler on your tube ) and whala you have a convenient way of keeping track of your progress and something that will give you the desire to keep going.

P.S. if you want you can mark every 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2 inch so it looks just like a ruler.

Just make sure you use indelible ink. :-) Even that washes off over time but you can always re-do your markers as they fade.

And be optimistic. Don’t just mark where you are now. You’re tying to get bigger. Give yourself some goals to reach.

Hey Avocet8, Just wanted to say that you are right about the indelible ink. Petroleum on my tube acted like acid and ate the inch marks right off but don’t worry I redrew them with a permanent marker and every thing seems to be fine now.
