Sleeve inside the tube, what for?

My pump has a sleeve inside the tube. The sleeve is rather narrow, a tapers off at the end. It seems to resist expansion of the penis. Does anyone know what it is for? Since I think it limits the maximum growth, do you think it would be a good idea to cut open the sleeve so that my penis gets the maximum potential of expansion when pumping?

You need to give a biut more information about the tube. Apart from which we don’t know what country you are in. Is it a penis pump or say a fishtank accessory What make is it?

There are several cylinders that I am aware of that include a sleeve. The purpose of the sleeve is at least in part to provide a better seal, and in some cases to compensate for a tube base that would be too thin and which would cut in to you otherwise. Cylinders with sleeves are generally the less expensive cylinders; more expensive cylinders usually have a flared base or are ‘thickwall’ cylinders.

If you think the sleeve is a problem, you could certainly trim it down. However, keep in mind that some pumpers these days actually work to increase such constriction as a counter to the vacuum force. See the thread on Condom pumping for more on this. So, it’s by no means a given that a sleeve is counterproductive to effective pumping.

You can clearly see that there is a sleeve inside the cylinder. I am thinking about cutting the tip so that it will have a wider opening. It feels really tight even before I pressurize the tube. What do you think?

Since it is a permanent fixture. It would be tougher than using a condom for pumping and as you say will grip your penis fairly tight, and could lead to fluid buildup..

So you might be better off removing the sleeve, and use a condom if you want to try that method of pumping.

Just make sure that ther are no bits of sleeve left to cut into your penis
