Selecting Your Cylinder Size

Hope you guys don’t mind asking again, but want to be doubly sure.

Attached a photo of what my penis looks like in the pump with the surrounding base engorged.

So this is normal, right? I’m not use to seeing so much of the surrounding area expanded like that since I’ve always used sleeves before.

Yes, that is perfectly normal, except…is that blood on your balls? If so, I hope it is because you shaved just before pumping.

No doubt. It looks like the cylinder should be closer to half that diameter unless you are trying to increase base girth only?

This presumably why people find it easier to start the pump whilst fully erect, right?

I think you should get a smaller one. Just my opinion.

If you need to hold your balls with your legs to pump, that’s not correct.

Yes, starting fully erect helps with that and also bone press the tube into your crotch when you begin to pump up.

You’re right, though that is when flaccid and having not secured a tight enough air-seal prior to pumping.
Otherwise, I have a replacement seal that keeps the penis centred during expansion which makes the pump up from total flaccid very simple. Haven’t used it much because I wanted to see if pumping without yielded any better results.

The seal also stops the ‘bump’ on the right of the penis (check the photo at the top) from getting crazy engorged — which I assume is why my penis curves to the right when erect.

Hey Gprent I read somewhere you talking about staging, what exactly is that?

In my case, right now I pack a 1.5 tube while penis, from base till glans. I was working with the 1.75 tube now, with the sack skin helping pack the base of the tube.

Is that staging approach of any use for me at this point?

Yes, you can use it perfectly. Start your session with the 1.5” tube and when you pack it, just switch over to the 1.75” tube and continue your session.

Hey gprent. Is this staging technique a better way to work on length? I can pack my 1.75” tube after some time, but only pack the 2” for the first 2-2.5”. Would it be beneficial length wise to start with the 1.75” and the move onto the 2” later in my session?

Cylinder Size For Length

I want to get a pump for length. I have a pump 2.25 x 9”, my head nearly fills the tube, shaft not yet and gets a little over 7” in length. My erect shaft is 1.75 diameter. Is a 1.75x9” cylinder good for length with my measurements?

What is your shaft girth? Trying to use your shaft diameter will not be accurate, but calculations would suggest your girth based on 1.75” diameter would be 5.5”, meaning you need at least a 2” diameter tube. But like I said, taking your actual girth measurement with a tape is best.

Just wanted to say thanks for the info gprent.

Not knowing anything about pumps I originally had a 3 inch cylinder. After reading this thread a month ago I purchased a 2 inch cylinder and it seems to be working better.

In the 3 inch I would usually be at 18.5cm but in the 2 inch I hit 19.5cm which I assume is due to greater length expansion with my 5.5 girth packing most of the tube.

Since my goal is mainly length gains I’m hoping that along with my normal routine of jelqing and stretching that the 2 inch pump helps get me some additional length.
