Selecting Your Cylinder Size

It turned what would have probably been a risky experimental and learning phase into a completely safe walk in the park.

I did run into a problem with the cylinder sizing though. I have a girth of about 4.2 - 4.35” going from the top shaft to the base shaft respectively, so I went with the 1.5” cylinder. However, I’ve got a good sized mushroom head which I didn’t factor in when selecting the tube size. The shroom tip packed the cylinder way before the shaft below, and I don’t think I got the full pumping experience once the shroom had created a seal. My glans is probably 4.7” when fully erect so it took less than a minute for the shroom to pack the tube. I suppose I should have seen that coming. So I’m considering going up to the 1.75”.

I only did one set today, with some jelqing before and after. Do you think if I continue to use the 1.50” tube that I will pack the shaft in the coming days even though the head is cutting off the vacuum? Or maybe if I do multiple sets? I think I’m going to go up to the 1.75” anyway because I want to preserve my shroom tip, I’m just curious what the vets would say about the situation.

You know, I’m not a pumping vet but I think the pressure will equalize along the shaft as air will escape around the mushroom head. They also make cylinders with an enlarged head area for just such a reason. I think those are more expensive though. The main reason for not using a larger cylinder to begin with is the risk of sucking your balls into the tube or to focus solely on length. So if you don’t have a ball sucking issue you can use the larger cylinder with impunity.

I’d be curious to hear what gprent has to say, but I think you’d be better off with a bigger tube. Once I pack my tube (shaft, not glans), it seems a lot more difficult to eke out additional length expansion. Given how quickly you are packing at the glans, I wonder if you are getting all the stretch you are looking for. Good lube will probably help, but it seems like a brand new tube should give you more breathing space.

No ball problems. I just ordered the 1.75” thanks for your input meatbuilder. I can spare $25, and it’s at least worth having both cylinders and experimenting to see which one I like more, or even do some staging if I find out the 1.50” will still eventually pack the shaft with more time in the tube.

Before 5.5" x 4.1" volume 7.3 ci ////// Now 7.4" x 4.9" volume 14.1 ci

Good idea.

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

So I finally got all my parts today (cylinder, male connector, brake bleeding vacuum pump kit) and thought it would be as simple as attaching the 23” hose on one end to the pump, other end on the male connector then click the connector to the top fo the cylinder. Did I do something wrong? There’s no suction/seal going on at all. I’m guessing there’s an air leak somewhere or I connected it wrong.

Test the setup on an airtight surface - hand palm is ok, but sticking the tube on a slab of blutack/whitetack/rubber/non-hairy bit of body/ works better, because you won’t be afraid to pump harder. Your setup sounds ok. Maybe you just have too much hair there, which plays havock with the seal. Shave a patch an inch or so around your shaft and balls - really, no one notices!

You might just not be pumping enough - it takes a few pumps before anything registers on the guage.

Well I just took the male connector off the cylinder and put my thumb on its opening and started pumping and the gauge shot up pretty quickly and I felt a seal on my thumb so I think it either has to do with the cylinder itself or where it connects to the male connector.

Check that the female connector is sealing well with the cylinder, and that the cylinder is sealing against your flesh. Pumps do leak a bit - holding the pump handle part way closed reduces that a bit - or disconnecting the pump from the cylinder takes the pump itself out of the loop. Check the vacuum after 30 secs to a minute after disconnecting the pump (by plugging the male connector back into the female connector and checking the guage) to see if the suction loss is from either the skin seal or the female connector to the cylinder. If vacuum has dropped much, tighten the felmale connector to the pump (it doesn’t want to cause damage but needs to be snug), or shave/use more lube on the base of the tube.

Yeah, it was the hair around my dick, haha. Shaved that shit off and did 1x10 minutes of pumping between 3-6hg, taking a break for a few seconds half way through.

Is it normal for my length in the cylinder to not surpass my natural erect length even though the cylinder’s the right size for my current penis? I’m aiming for length gains as I’ve said before.

Get a felt tip pen and mark the cylinder at your longest point, then measure from the base of the cylinder to the mark. See what happens over time.

I did exactly that, that’s why I asked. :)

If you read back in the thread a bit, you’ll find out how to get the best kit for the least money by buying the pump seperately from elsewhere.

Sometimes a pen marker will wear off after extended use. I used adhesive tape three years ago and it is still there. Unfortunately (actually fortunately), I have trouble fitting in my first tube.

I use a dry wipe marker and wipe it off after each session. I can remember the figures from the last session. Having a permanent mark would make me work to the mark, not work by feel, and as feel can change day to day according to other PE I may have done, I don’t want to mess that up. It’s just my preferred way of working.
