So last night I had a bad first time pumping experience. I panicked after I couldn’t release the vacuum.

Then tonight I tried water pumping, and literally more than 2 Hg felt a bit weird and uncomfortable. I pumped at about 1.5 Hg for 5 minutes (I kept having to give a pump every minute because the vacuum wouldn’t stay) and afterwards it was hard for me to get an erection. Afterwards I felt like my penis wanted to turtle rather than get erect when I was watching porn.

Does it just take a while to get used to? As of now I just don’t really like the feeling of the vacuum…

Try easing off everything. If you panicked because you couldn’t release the vacuum, you were probably in the tube too long, . Then to try water pumping is just too much for your unit.

So give it a weeks rest and see if that helps. Then take it a bit more steadily. Yu won’t make the extra gains you are after by overdoing things.

1.5hg for 5 mins, doesn’t sound like your overdoing anything.

You should be ok with that I would try doing a 5 min warm up, including stretches and jelqing. Also, Lube the tube very well, so you don’t rub against the side too much.

Pump up one pump at a time, or better yet, half a pump, you don’t have to get to your max hg straight away.

Try this.

1, get a 50% erection, enter pump pump up to full erection (equivalent) hold for 1 min (around 1hg).
2, 50% erection and enter pump, this time go for longer.
3, try for a 80%+ erection and enter and pump for the max hg you are reaching, but get there over the space of 10 mins, very slow and tiny pumps, let your penis relax into the stretch.

You should find your self wanting to go further up the hg scale if you do it this way, always remember with pumping the penis is getting used to the pressure each time you pull the pump handle, it won’t like to be forced to max pressure too soon.

Ok cool thanks for the advice - I’ll try tiny pumps.

I do my regular PE routine as warmup. 10 mins of stretches, then 5 minutes of jelqs. After pumping for 5-10 mins I do another 10 mins of jelqs (at least this is the plan for the next few weeks, then I will up pumping time).

Well the first night with air pumping I was only in the tube for about a minute at around 3 Hg. I was just trying to get a feel for things. Air pumping at this pressure wasn’t uncomfortable though. I panicked because I was being stupid - there was no reason for panic.

I definitely don’t want to overdo things though.

Sounds like you are just irrationally scared of hurting yourself and that scared feeling in your brain is controlling your erection ability. I am kind of surprised you even bought a pump feeling the way you do.

At the levels you describe, there is no way you have done any damage. Your lack of EQ is all in your head.

Once you change you attitude to how fun pumping is and how good it feels, your erections should actually improve as well as your size. Just try to stop freaking out.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

So I have been increasing the pressure by tiny bursts and it feels great now. I have been water pumping at 2.5 Hg for 12 mins the last couple of nights. When I pull out of the cylinder my semi engorged dick is about .25” bigger in girth. Feels awesome in my hands. I am going to add a minute of pumping every night and work up to 30 minutes eventually.

When I enter I try to be as hard as possible, but it doesn’t always work out that way. When I am in the tube I also try to really focus on being as erect as possible - porn helps. I can be in the tube at 2.5 Hg without really feeling much pressure, but when I focus on getting a hard erection - I really feel the expansion. I am assuming that to realize girth gains you should probably be as hard as possible while in the tube?

I must have a cast iron dick, 2.5 would do NOTHING for me. I commonly use 7 hg, then pump it up to 12 for 10 min. I still can’t pack my tube, and no lymph build up. I need to get an IR Lamp and try that stuff out.

If you haven’t already, I recommend you try Acocet8’s “Vacuum pumping when you have ED”. Its a nice non stressful routine. I do it twice a day three or four days a week. I found that in addition to helping EQ, it helped condition my dick for more intense pumping sessions. I’ve been pumping for about five months and have learned to always keep the pressure under 5hg no matter what routine I am using. I will occasionally go up to 10hg, but never for more than 5 minutes. I have also been water pumping for about four months, but still derive great pleasure from Avocet8’s ED routine.

I agree with gprent. Don’t be so scared. It’s real easy. Get a good hard-on, put your schlong in the tube, and quickly pump it up until it doesn’t hurt at the base of the pump. If your dick feels OK pump it up again. If it feels slightly uncomfortable, that’s where I leave it for the time being. If it starts to ache or hurt, back off. None of these guys on the forum are going to tell you the best pressure for you.

The key with PE is the same with bodybuilding, or any other self-help endevour. You need to find what’s best for you. My advice is experiment and see what feels OK to you. I don’t even look at my gauge because I know what I can stand that day.

After 3 days of pumping, I usually need a rest, but I never ask anyone on this forum if I need a rest. You need to figure that out yourself, or you’ll never be successful. Find your comfort zone and MAYBE you will gain, but no guarantees.
