Recalibrate Pump Gauge

Hi Guys,

I have an LA Pump and cylinder. Yesterday I dropped the pump onto concrete it didn’t break as such but now the needle on the gauge starts at about 3HG instead of zero. Any ideas how to get the needle back to zero? Thanks.

All good I sorted it out.I just banged it a few times on something hard but soft enough not to do damage until it went back to zero.It is working fine now.

It’s probably worth being a little sceptical of the readings for while. In theory, it should be fairly resilient * but if you’ve bent something and added a friction point, weakened a hair spring etc. it could be less accurate. I’m making assumptions of an aneroid design which be wrong.

Yeah I certainly don’t think anything is bent or broken inside it.I dropped it from a height of about 3ft.From what I understand they can take a bit of punishment. Anyway I gave it a test and it seems perfect.
