Pumping Gains

I’ve been PEing on and off for many years, and have had 0 gains. A lot of it I think I attribute to inconsistency, as I would go hard at it for 3-4 months and upon seeing no results, get discouraged. However, I have tried different things such from jelqing, to stretching, hanging, and clamping. I hung for 7 months religiously (like a lot) and the max weight I got to was 20lbs. Nothing.

It popped into my head recently that I have never tried pumping before. I don’t know why, but I always had a kind of negative view on it, like it wasn’t natural or something. Well now, I’m curious about the benefits of pumping (read:desperation) and would like to know more about it.

I wanted to ask those that have tried pumping if pumping has produced significant (over an inch over a long term period) gains for them, and if this was with only a pump/jelq technique, or with other things.

So there it is. What type of gains can I expect to get if I plan to only pump/jelq/stretch? Is it worth trying?

Hung 7 months.. what I know and what others say is that hanging is best method to get lenght?..
I do only manual stretches, but I stretch really hard so my ligs almost hurts and when I reach that feel I know that my stretching is effective.. because my ligs are so strong that I must stretch with real power.. 110% power! And when I reach that I gain..
I pump and I gain.. but you must stick to your routine with manual exercise with your pumping, and be patient..
I pump just around 1 min before stretching, pump and jelqing and supersets with manuals and pumping at low pressure 3-4 hg, max 5 hg..
Read gprents pumping tip at low pressure, I think that’s the best way to get ” permanent ” gains..

One question: Have you been in an routine for at least 6 months?
I think it feels a little bit weird that you have zero gains when doin PE for years.. and you have tried almost everything except pumping..
Have you reach and stuck into an plautea and maybe needs rest before restart everything from sctratch??

I have been pumping on a consistent basis for three years. I have gained over 1/2 inches in girth as a result. I also have been using an extender for 2.5 years and have gained about 3/4 inches in EL. Though there may have been a bit of cross supplementation, I do not believe pumping contributed significantly to my length gains. However, I believe you will hear from others who have achieved length gains from pumping.


Start 11/09 BPEL: 5.5", EG: 4.4"

Current. BPEL: 6:4", EG: 5.5"

From what I understand there is no “best method” for PE gains. Everyone is different. I understand what you’re saying though.
Yes, I’ve been in a routine for at least 6 months, seeing as how I hung for 7 months. I think, like you, I may have very tough ligs. One thing that I’ve incorporated into routines but haven’t done as religiously as I should is stretching, which many people swear by. mr lover, have you made any length gains through your pumping/manual routine? I have skimmed gprent’s thread that you mentioned, if I decide to pump I will surely use it as a resource.

dtwarren1942: What type of extender was it? As I understand it there are different types. Is the one you used similar to a pump or is it more like an ADS? I hear some of the ADS extenders can cause damage to the glans.

Yes.. I have gained in lenght, but I don’t know if it’s by my pumping or by manuals.. maybe the combo.. and I think pumping is speeding up gains with manual exercises.

Before I begun to pump I did only stretching and jelqing and I gained mostly flaccid lenght and girth and a little erect lenght..
But know everything feels like more easier when I use my pumping in my routine and my gains are way faster then before and it’s fun to pump to, and I have gained almost an inch in lenght when when started to use pumping in my routine..

I started with an x4Labs using a strap for mounting. A year later I replaced the mounting piece with a VacExtender Mod kit. The vacuum cap does occasionally cause glans bruising if it is not properly seated and the vacuum leaks.

Look at lapd and order a pump, it helped me over the years.

Thanks a lot for the tips guys. I will look into the extender, but I thinking about a mechanical attachment on my dick feels weird. For those that have gained length from pumping, what type of pump do you recommend? It’s even more important to me that it’s safe - I’d like a bigger dick but it’s not ~that~ important to me.

I’m planning on starting with an improved, safe and consistent routine after the New Years. Not like some kind of resolution that people never keep, I’m just busy this next month. Reading about pumping makes me a little excited to try something new that will hopefully work for me.

Are these all safe? I was also curious - Is pumping something you can do that doesn’t take a long time to set up? Or can I just whip it out and start?

Do I have to buy different pumps for water vs non-water pumping?

Everyone gains at the speed they gain. One persons gains won’t help you work out how you will gain These are worth a read:

WATER PUMPING > Air Pumping

All pumps are safe if you use them safely, and all are dangerous if you use excessive vacuum.

There are dedicated water pumps like the Bathmate, but if you have a water-trap you can use a normal cylinder for water pumping (see the Thickwall connectors and spares page).

I started pumping around 1974, before the advent of the Internet. There wasn’t much info about pumping back then, other than occasional articles in say, Penthouse Forum, or from pump manufactures hype. Consequently, I became quite despondent when after 6 months of religiously following manufactures instructions I was not only not seeing the results it was claimed I should see in 4, I wasn’t seeing any gains at all! By that time however, I had come to enjoy what pumping did give me and continued with it wherever and whenever possible, which surprisingly was quite a lot of the time. It was somewhere in the early 2000’s and progressing onto other forms of PE through sites like Thunder, that for some reason, after all those years, I took a measurement. And too my surprise I had gained 1.5” in length. I don’t think I had been doing PE long enough to attribute any of my gains to it and care to think they had all slowly built during my earlier time pumping.

Thanks for your input seahorse. It seems to me that pumping doesn’t produce permanent gains, and that you have to maintain it by continuing to pump.

firegoat: Haha I know that everyone gains differently. I think I just asked because hearing people say they gained a substantial amount (1”+ for me) is very motivating. To be honest I guess I asked in the same way an attention-whore might say she’s fat so people can tell her she’s not - I want to hear that gains are common for pumping even though I haven’t seen gains elsewhere. Even though everyone gains differently with different methods. I can be pretty ridiculous haha.

I should have searched more for that information, but nonetheless thanks for putting it up. Do you think one method is better to start off with than the other (Water vs Air pumping)? I know that one of the threads you posted recommended water pumping, but I was thinking perhaps I could get gains from one, and if I plateau I can switch to the other and perhaps gain a little bit more. As a beginner does it matter?

I like air pumping personally. I only water pump once in a while for variation.

I do water pumping only, with a hot wrap i can pump like 60minutes at 4hg and no edema.
