I pumped for about 3 months, late last year and definately saw results while I was pumping and in between pumping days.

My question is this, to the more experienced pumpers.

Every day or every other day. Or other rest days?

I know that if I jelq every other day I have no ED issues, with every day I have difficulty keeping erections.

When I pumped everyday or for a few days in a row my cock stayed in a semi pumped state (nice).

If there were any micro tears, would it not be better to pump every other day to allow healing?

I may loose some semi pumped size but my dick is getting some healing time.

My new cylinder is in the post (broke the last one). So I want to get back into developing girth in the best way.

I would definitely take a day off every 1-2 days. Much like bodybuilding, permanent growth takes place during the recuperation process.

You could also switch cylinder sizes on different days. Something like the Kaplan system recommends: Penis only cylinder on day 1, penis and scrotum cylinder on day 2, etc.

Most importantly, listen to your body. If you are experiencing ED at any time you are overtraining. Take a day off and rest.

I have been going to the gym for about 7 years and I know a thing or too about recovery, just that so many people advocate everday PE.

I think 1 day on, one off is for me. I am thinking 2 x 10 mins in the tube and 15 mins manual excercises around that.

For the benefit of us new guys can you expound upon the things you mentioned in your previous post, Avocet?

I have recently started pumping, beginning about 2.5 weeks ago. I have been pumping 5 days a week with 2 days off on the weekends. I have experienced no ED at all and, on the other hand, have noticed erections coming easier and more frequent for me. It is as though my penis is much healthier overall.

Do you not advocate pumping 5 days a week in a row?

Or is it just like much else in PE:

“Everyone is different and listen to your body.”

I have been doing this and things seem to be moving along well. I do, however, realize I don’t know it all and am interested to hear what the board has to say about this subject.

You mean pumping every day for maximum Lymph.Fluid buildup? You could explain that if you wish.

I’ve been pumping for a number of years and the real, permanent gains came from allowing time for the tissues to repair. But that’s just me.

I found that two programs worked best for me, both included days off. In the first, I worked out 6 days a week, 1 off. In the second, months later, 5 days a week, with 2 off. Results were the same in terms of gain but I felt better psychologically about PE knowing I had two days off coming up as I am very easily bored by repetitive things. At your gym? I was the one doing any mechanical activity that allowed me to read while I did it.

Everybody has to play around with this some. Try this, see how it feels. If that doesn’t work after a very fair try, try something else. As codfish points out without saying so, we are all different from a tissue composition point of view. He apparently gets lymphatic fluid build up; I don’t. He has to adust to that particular issue in his tissue chemistry; others may not.

Thanks for the replies guys. I got my new cylinder it is amazing! I just want to say that I am in no way affiliated with “thickwall cylinders” here in the uk but compared to my old kaplan unit it looks incredible! It cost me about $100 but if you compare it to the kaplan, you would imagine it would cost about $500!!

Its a 10” x 2” tube by the way….

Agreed. For the last few months I’ve been pumping on a 2-3 day on 1 day off and although I saw gains, the sessions were not consistent in quality and I didn’t hang well consistently.

I recently switched to a 1 day on/1 day off schedule and the results look very promising. Each session is top notch, I hang very full after each session and my response to the pump has been very good. I think the 1 day off is just enough time for the penis to repair itself to a good degree while still retaining the elasticity of the previous pumping session.

I tried it for the first time after those pics and it was really comfortable plus (a tip from the thickwall guys) once you get to your “working vacum” dis-connect so that the tube is left hanging. These tubes are heavy due to the quality, so I feel like I’m getting a good stretch as the tube is hanging down.
I re coupled a few times and I hadnt lost any vacum at all…..

For those of you that go 1 on/1 off with pumping, do you jelq or stretch on the non-pumping days or just perform pc work? I’ve been pumping for the last 3 months, generally daily, but with a day off when I’m either too busy or feel sore.I jelq between sets and have noticed improvement in length and girth, as well as enhanced erectile function, but naturally want to maximize the return on my efforts.

On my rest days I’m not doing any PE apart from wearing my ADS and doing pc work after I’ve had a pee (20 reps with my flaccid pulled hard to create more resistance).

I think a rest day means recovery and if I am doing jelqing on my off days firm enough to get the benefit, then my cock is getting rested.
