Pump Pad

I have not seen this idea posted even though it is an old one. I am not sure where I heard it originally. This should help with the pain that occurs when the base of homemade pump cylinders bites into your skin.

Buy a large bicycle inner-tube. Cut a few inches out of it. Ideally, you want a diameter that is relatively smaller than the diameter of your cylinder. Stretch in out over your cylinder so that 3/4 of it is hugging the outside of the cylinder and 1/4 is pushed up into the cylinder. You’ll have to experiment with sizes and cuts, but I remember the rubber is about 1/4’ thick and helped a lot. Maybe, two layers could even be used.
