Picturebrite cylinders?

If you want to buy the American size, it’s 5/16 OD, 3/16 ID and the ring diameter is 1/16.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Chuck,

1. I have apparently 8 mm x5 mm x 1.5 o-ring but they don’t fit properly in their grooves, they are too ” fat “!
So I cannot insert the male in the female.

2.I have male couplers from Lapdist and the o-ring material section seems smaller than 1.5 mm( that is equivalent at 1/16 of inches )

3. My impression, but I maybe wrong is that both picturebrite and Lapdist o-ring grooves is too narrow to accommodate a 1.5 mm section.

gprent,

can you confirm that you have substitute a Lapdist o-ring with one of 5x16, 3/16, 1/16 of inches ( in decimal is about equal at 8mm x 5 mm x 1.5 mm)?

I can only tell you what I bought, and what worked for me. The Picturebrite cylinder was the P124, and the 0-rings I bought, which appeared to be exactly the same as the original, were 8mm x 5mm. That’s what the bin said at the hardware store, and that’s what they measure exactly. They work for me.

It’s not clear which grooves don’t work for you. The groove in the male coupler in which the o-ring sits is very slightly wider than 1.5mm, and appears to be 5mm across. If your o-ring won’t fit into that groove, so that the 1.5mm thickness is too big, then we must have different connectors. (Although, my understanding was that all of these connectors are standardized.)

If you mean that when the o-ring is installed, the male connector won’t fit into the female connector, then I would suggest you need to use some lubricant. It needs to be a tight fit because that’s part of the vacuum seal. But if the inside of the female connector isn’t completely smooth, or lubricated, then the insertion attempt may tear up the o-ring. Insertion should actually compress the o-ring a bit so that it makes a good seal, but it needs to be slippery to compress rather than tear.

I’ve measured everything again, and I’m sure the info I’ve given you is correct for the fittings I have.

One other idea. You should make sure that the spring-loaded shaft inside the female connector is moving freely. Try using the male connector WITHOUT the o-ring installed, and just make sure the female valve moves when you push, and springs back when you let up.

I have one installed right now, got it from Home Depot. My Home Depot doesn’t have the same O-ring display any more, but Ace Hardware still carries O-rings.

Since these are American parts, I believe the original parts are all American measurements, so the original O-rings are 5/16”X3/16”.

The cylinder is 9.5” long, and has the typical quick-disconnect fitting at the top. ……

1.So you bought only the cylinder from picturebrite and not the pump. Is it correct?

2.Where did you take the male coupler to fit with the female that comes with the picturebrite cylinder?

3.Why did you have the necessity to change his o-ring?

Thanks.

Yes, I bought only the cylinder. I had an auto brake fluid flushing pump with gauge from long ago. So I needed the male fitting, which doesn’t appear on the Picturebrite site. So I emailed them, and they agreed to make that available too if I bought their cylinder.

When I attempted to insert the male fitting into the cylinder the first time, it became clear that the o-ring was going to be subject to a good bit of wear and tear. So, as a precaution, I removed the o-ring and took it to Ace hardware to buy a few spares. Just in case. In fact, the original o-ring did get a bit chewed up. Since then I’ve added some lube, and I think that may prevent any further wear. I used some plumbing lube that’s used on the o-rings inside faucets, and seems to work very well.

1.How much have you payed to picturebrite for the male fitting?

2.What kind of lube have you used for the o-ring?

Thanks

All the lube you need for those O-rings is a little spit. Works perfectly for free. :)

I ordered a number of items besides the cylinder, and I’m not sure they charged me separately for the fitting. You would need to inquire by email if you want a price on that item.

The lube was called Waterlube. But I suspect gprent is right - spit would work too.

No, they can tell from the nozzle size you order with the shower bidet kit. :-)

So, I bought a new pairs of 8 mm x 5 mm x1.5 mm ( 5/16” x 3/16” x 1/16” ) o-ring.

This time they fit perfectly.

Thanks a lot for the precious advise.

That’s great, Mark001. Glad you got it working.

I’ve been using my cylinder for a few days, and still have mixed feelings about the narrowed opening. That 1/4” restriction does help make a good seal, but I think it just may be too small. What I probably need is a 1 7/8” straight tube, with no restriction, but I’ve never seen one of those.

What kind of feelings?

I am pumping for an year and a half with a Lapdist 9 x 2 ( so a straight tube with flange ).
I can assure you that the sealing is perfect.

I pump at 5” Hg and I pack it at the base and at the glans, still not mid-shaft. Because of the glans I cannot pump at more than 5” with this Lap 9 x 2.

I have just bought a 2.25” x 9” Lapdist but still never used as I am in a sort of deconditioning, but from your description a 2.25” x 9” picturebrite maybe is better.

My idea is that even staying within the 5” hg, a little constriction at the base maybe good.

What do you think about?
