My Latest Theory: "Maintenance" Pumping

In my never-ending quest for (any) permanent girth increases, I have decided to experiment with what is for me a new approach to pumping — what I’m calling “maintenance” pumping. After listening to a number of long-time pump veterans, I think I’m going to try a MWF primary workout schedule (60-minutes or so long), interspersed by Tuesday and Thursday, when I do one quick, 10-minute “maintenance” pumping set each morning. I’ll take the weekends off completely for rest and healing. My goal is to maintain a larger than normal girth virtually all of the time (hence the “maintenance” pumps). My theory is that eventually my dick will have to adjust to the increased “temporary” girth with incremental “permanent” growth.

In short, my PE schedule will look like this:

M: Primary workout (3 x 10-minute “dynamic” pumping sets @ 2 to 5 hg, 1 x 10-minute clamping set, jelqing breaks, 60-min total, ADS)
T: Maintenance pump (1 x 10-minute “dynamic” pumping set @ 2 to 5 hg, ADS)
W: Primary workout
Th: Maintenance pump
Fri: Primary workout
Sat: Rest
Sun: Rest

I tried the 10-minute maintenance thing this morning after a pretty intense workout yesterday. It’s almost
4 pm and I’m still much girthier than normal in my Therawrap. Feels great and I’ve experienced increased hardons all day! (I almost embarrassed myself at the gym, lol.) The question for me is whether I’ll be able to maintain a larger than normal girth continuously, without the negative PIs (i.e., weaker erections) that I experienced with pumping in the past. Any vets have any thoughts on my latest theory about “maintenance” pumping and girth gains?

Sounds good on paper. Only time will tell how well it works for you.

My latest trick is to start switching to decaffeinated coffee and I can’t think right now. :)

I know that dick tissue is not exactly the same as skeletal muscle tissue, but my assumption is based on the idea that the body adapts to stress. The key for me is how much is enough without being too much.

Yeah, I’ve been turning the coffee abstinence thing over in my mind but just can’t quite make the leap, lol! I NEED my half cup each day!

That is the key for everyone. But if/when you finally dial in the correct training frequency and intensity, you’ll be there. I know, easier said than done. Just keep experimenting.

I seem to have finally dialed the the right frequency/intensity for me. But it is probably virtually worthless to anyone other than me, as guys vary greatly in this, as we have seen, here.

I am not an experienced pumper, this is just my thought on the overall PE process.

One of my favorite sayings is: Time at size, meaning, the longer the time you spend at a large size the greater the chance of it becoming permanent.

Half a cup a day???!!! Even my several cups of decaffeinated has more caffeine then that. I think you are safe. It is a documented fact that caffeine does cause temporary shrinkage of your entire package.

Quite the tradeoff: dick size…daily java fix…dick size…daily java fix. Whew….good to know that I’m safe at half a cup. Certainly don’t want the package to SHRINK!

I think your theory has a lot of potential. It’s kind of what I learned by trial and error to do over all of these years. Give it a serious go, keep track of negative PI’s and take a break if they happen, and keep us updated. Good luck.

I just did a gym work out and it hit me that this regimen is the gym equivalent of the routine I just did.

It’s called active recovery. Olympic lifters and other performance athletes follow these types of routines, and they work for them. So there is potential here. The key is finding the sweet spot, though.

And that isn’t easiest, set-it-and-forget-it situation..

Keep experimenting. I think I have fallen into a productive routine (knock wood) as I am now consistently measuring 1/16” increase. :shrug:

Active recovery for lifters is different because light-days help them remove waste products that build up in the muscle tissue. PE’ers don’t have that problem per se.

I’m not so sure about this theory; after all, wouldn’t those guys at Tiger’s who do marathon pumping sessions several days per week for several years have something to show for all their time? I’m not really sure that the temporary size increase acheived by pumping is really a “stress”. It stresses the lymphatic system, but it is not much of a structural stress once you have released the vacuum.

The more responsible pumpers, here, believe that extreme pumping is more of a temporary collection of lymph.

A lot of guys say they have gotten permanent gains, though. Of course, I have read that using Natural PE in combination is a good thing.

This is a good discussion guys. It seems to me like there are two kinds of pumpers: those who go for the extreme bloated look (e.g., see Newart) and those who exclusively use much lower pressures combined with natural methods to encourage blood flow (as opposed to lymph build up) to produce gains slowly over time. I am definitely a proponent of the latter approach. Many guys claim to have acheived real, lasting girth gains using this approach. Hopefully, I can join the party soon! We’ll see…So far, the PIs are still positive and I’m maintaining at least some of the pump continuously.

Let me do you all a favor and tell you don’t look at newart. You’ll never be the same ever again :bang: :uhuh: . I’ve liked the light sessions because some days I just don’t have the time when I want to dedicate that day to lifting. This will work great though; bust out the weights on the “off days”. The weekends are always a pima for me to get a good workout in. I’ll give this 3 heavy/2 light a run through and figure a style of exercise to perform on each.
