So what I was saying is that pumping twice a day itself does not lead to fluid build-up or making the end of your penis hard. Intrinsically (meaning in and of itself, of its essential nature), pumping twice a day does not do that. What does do that is overdoing, and you can overdo in a single session a day and get fluid build-up and a hard end to your penis, or you could pump multiple times a day and not get that result, as long as you don’t overdo in those sessions.

In other words, the essential variable is the overdoing, not the frequency of sessions.

I hope that is clearer, and thanks for asking. If you were wondering, a lot of others surely did as well. Thanks for the chance to explain it better.

Hmm 10 mins a long set? No wonder I got really bad feelable knob-discoloration with my 3 x 20 minutes at 5hg :O
Maybe I’ll start pumping later again and do the 4 x 10 minutes.

You might want to consider taking a break every five minutes. I take a break every five minutes, and either do a quick massage, a few jelqs, or even just stay in the tube but release the vacuum to zero for 30 seconds. Some pumpers advocate helicoptering when you are done with your session to help get fresh blood into your penis.

Would I be right in saying that’s it’s not the duration of the session that matters but instead the total accumulated time spent pumped and expanded?

In other words - spending say 4 sets under pressure at 10 mins - is more productive than - 1 set under pressure at 40 mins!

… because the latter could lead to vascular damage - whereas the former allows recovery between sets?

Well I’m no expert on this so this is just my experience, it seems to be that at a higher pressure I get more length gain rather than girth. I have recently been using the muscle warming creams you can get before I start pumping to encourage blood flow. It seems to work as an alternative warm up. Transvasin seems to work for me.

If you do it nice and easy, you may pump as much much as you want. I tend to do one 30 minute morning session and one 30 minute night session wearing a light balls and cock ring between sessions. Never had problems whatsoever.

Actually, I don’t know what pressure I use…

When I started, in the early 90’s, commercial pumps did not offer pressure measurement tools and when they started to I was already a veteran pumper. To me, nice and easy means that I can completely forget about pressure and read a book, watch TV, talk to the phone.

I’ve only been pumping regularly for a few weeks, had dabbled with it for a time before that. I took a quick ‘unofficial’ measurement and noticed I seemed to have notched up a couple of sixteenths of an inch. Unofficial I say as I’ll measure more accurately in a month or so. Don’t want to be discouraged if gains are not significant. But I suspect an increase will be there.

I’ve also started using heat whilst pumping, gave me an increase in the pumped length - measuring 7.75” ! There’s a thread over in the pumpers section, well worth a read!

Yeah man, I am on the “apply heat while you pump” technique. It works pretty good too.
