Hi guys,

I’ve been pumping for a few weeks now, and what I’ve noticed is that I have very little expansion after a pumping session, girthwise. I’m about 5.7 midshaft when erect and after 10-15 min of pumping at 4-5 Hg it barely moves at all, maybe reaching 5.8 sometimes but most of the time not even that much. Is that normal? How much expansion should one expect after a session? Should I maybe add time or pressure? I’ve noticed my erections are getting better and I’ve added a bit of length but it’s girth I’m after.. Any thoughts?

You are ready to add more time, not pressure to your routine and then you will see more expansion. Consider what you are doing now is one set. Start right away to add a second 15 minute set and in between pump sets, do some light jelqing or massage to re-oxygenate the blood in your penis. After a week or so, add a third 15 minute set and I guarantee you will see significant expansion. Don’t ever add any more pressure beyond 5”hg. That is plenty and still below your trauma line. Just add more sets and you will get the girth you seek.

Do some more reading in the pumpers forum. Especially in the most recent threads, this technique is discussed extensively.

I’m like you. After 10 min of pumping I see and extra 0.1” or at most 0.2” in EG. You can read my progress log (link in my signature) for my long road to getting conditioned to pumping. During clamping, I can reach +0.3”.

The last few weeks, I’ve gained another 0.05” for a new EG of 5.5” (I’ll report it on the 12th, which is my anniversary date). I’m also getting a really nice flaccid, up at least 0.1” FG and FL. I’m doing this twice a day:

Hang 1 hour (light weight: 5lbs).
Pump at 5”Hg for 10 min.
Clamp for 15 min.

Also, I now always apply heat using a rice sock — in the past I was lazy about this.

Thanks for your answers guys. Gprent, what would you call significant expansion? How much do you get and what should I aim for? Lars, yes I also warm up both before and after but I’m using an electric heat pad.

Significant expansion will be 1/4 and eventually up to 1/2 inch in girth after you are fully conditioned and are doing multiple set routines.

gprent is right… longer multiple sets at lower pressure. Also, wrap a heat pad around the tube while you are pumping to increase blood flow and expansion.

The last two days, since my last post, my girth (both EG and FG) is suddenly up 0.25”. Consistently. And that’s before I start my PE session. If this keeps up for another week, I’ll start a thread on it.

Is there something you did totally different in the last few days which led to these gains?

My tube is oversized, about 2.5 - why do you think it matters? I asked recently in this forum why oversized tube is bad for growth, and the people who replied seem to believe that it isn’t, so long as the seal is good and balls don’t get sucked in.

It’s obvious. A 2” tube will allow for a girth expansion of up to ~6.3”. A 2.5” will allow up to ~7.85”.

A thinner tube will benefit length growth provided you pack it, then the vacuum will exert more pulling force over the glans. The wider tube will emphasize girth growth, although it will still pull the penis lengthwise.
