I have just started using a pump a week ago and am starting off very slow to be safe. I just would like to know if this routine is enough to get any kind of gains. Here is what I have been doing.

Mon, Wed, Fri

5-10 minute warmup with water or a rice sock
two sets of 30 second stretches (5 directions using vacextender for a better grip) On the second set I use my arm to get a better stretch
7 minutes pumping at around 2-4
5 minutes wet jelqs with a few holds here and there
7 minutes pumping at around 2-4
5 minutes wet jelqs
2 minutes of holds
10 minute warmdown which is just my daily shower

After I get out of the shower I use the vacextender for about 2-3 hours. I wear it with decently low tension. I don’t think it will do much for erect gains but it does for a fact improve my flaccid length.

I also wear the vacextender for about 2-3 hours on tues and thurs

Any help would be appreciated

That doesn’t seem to be an excessive routine if you are conditioned to it. I take it that you have been doing PE for a while. Your program is not one that I would recommend to someone just starting out.

Only you can tell whether this program could get you gains, and that is based on whether or not you do gain. Make sure you’re measuring properly (Measure Your Penis - 2001 Site - Tom Hubbard), and watch your PIs (Physiologic Indicators (PIs) to help growth!). If you measure and you’re gaining and your EQ (erectile quality) is good, that is the ultimate measure of success for you. If you’re not gaining or your erection quality suffers, then you need to adjust your routine.

If anything I felt that it was a very mild routine because it is only three days a week. I was really just confused with how long to pump for and how many sets. I am in no rush and will probably stick with this for atleast a month. I am used to doing a length routine which I used to do 7 days a week so 3 days a week to me seems like nothing. I just came off of a decondition break for a month so I figured come back at it slow.

Do you think that two seven minute sets is enough?

Also my base girth is a little over an inch bigger than the rest of my penis so it packs up my 2 inch tube very easily. Should I opt for a bigger tube or will everything just even out?

You could probably increase it a little, depending on your PIs.

I take it that you are packing the base, but not the entire cylinder, with your current 2 inch cylinder. Would you like to ‘even things out’ and increase girth in the rest of your penis? If so, stay with your current cylinder for a while.

If you wouldn’t mind developing more base girth, then think about moving to a 2.25 inch cylinder. The rest of your shaft will still expand; you’re just more likely to continue to have the larger base/tapered shaft that it sounds like you have now.

Wow thanks that was some great advice. I will stick with the 2 inch cylinder for a while until it evens out a bit. I think I am going to keep this routine for atleast a month and if anything next month just bump it up to 2 10 minute sets instead of 7 minute ones. Thanks a lot for the advice!

Well it has been two months since I started pumping so I figured I would give my progress.

The first month I gained 1/4 in length and 0 in girth and the second month I gained 1/8 in length and 0 in girth.

Now I feel that I should change my routine in order to maybe get some girth gains but I really have no idea what to do now. I have been doing the same routine as I posted before but the second month I did 10 minute pumping sessions (instead of 7). Should I add another pumping set and have three sets or maybe bump up the time again? Is it possible I need a bigger cylinder? Should I add another day that I do pe?

If any pumping vets could help me I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

You let us know how it was working out for you! Terrific, and congratulations on your gains!

Your gains are diminishing, so it’s probably time to increase your routine. You have many options at this point.

You could go to two 12 minute sessions. You could go to three 8 minute sessions. You could try going to an every other day schedule, which would have the effect of giving you 3 1/2 workouts a week (seven workouts over 14 days). As you increase time and/or sessions, you start running into how pumping fits into your schedule and available time.

Since you’re not increasing in girth yet, it sounds like your current tube is still meeting your needs. The last time you commented on it, you were packing the base but not the whole shaft. When you start seeing that you’re packing more and more of the shaft, that will be when you will be looking toward needing a larger tube, I would say.

I almost had to look twice to make sure that **I** hadn’t written your first post. We are doing basically the same routine (no vacextender for me though), with the same kind of results.

So I am glad to see this thread, and very glad to see Lampwick’s advice.

I look forward to hearing how this works out for you.

I’m going to throw out another thought based on different thread:

For me, the lesson there is to go back to PIs and what works for you. If you are bigger and heavier as a result of taking two days off rather than one, perhaps that should factor into your schedule.

Add minutes to your routine, but instead of Monday-Wednesday-Friday (each week), or Monday-Wednesday-Friday-Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday (over two weeks), you might do Monday, then two days off; Thursday, then two days off; Sunday, then two days off; and so on. Maybe your unit will do better with two days off.

You might want to stick with Monday-Wednesday-Friday for now, with just adding minutes and/or sets in each routine, and then pay attention to your PIs including your measurements after you’ve had two days off (before you start on Monday) compared to when you’ve had one day off (before you start on Wednesday or Friday).
