How do I repair my pump?

Please help me repair my pump guys, I really don’t want to quit pumping already, I haven’t even been doing it for a month!

The end of the pump cylinder broke, where all the air gets in through the plastic tube. Could I just simply add another tube thing in there and make it somehow hold in place with some tape or something?

Please give me some suggestions, I’ve posted a photo of how it looks like broken, the end of the cylinder got left stuck in the plastic air tube..

That’s a tough one. For the tube, you can just snip the end, rather than trying to dig out that little broken nipple. I’ve successfully drilled a new hole and inserted the tubing into it. Caulking or plumber’s putty can be pushed around the tubing and its new hole to stop leaks. The old hole could get plugged the same way. It’s just a temporary fix, though.

Thanks a lot Don Logan!

To me, it looks like it’s broken off too close to the tube to get a hose to stay put anymore.
You can try to seal it up with goop and tape or whatever else, but I think you’r gonna need to do more work than that.

I’d drill out the old hose barb and tap it for 1/8” or 1/4” NPT. Then I’d screw a new hose barb from a hardware store and use silicone caulk or epoxy to seal around the threads of the barb.

So just a suggestion but this has not been tested. I would play around with using different drill bits to create a hole on the tube and just buy the standard sister connectors for the tube. However, I can not guarantee that the material plastic can withstand any of the drilling you are about to do if you choose to do this. Given that the tube is at a point where it’s useless, I would look into this but look at the parts at some of the pump websites to get an idea of what the parts look like.

Current: BPEL - (Before 6.8' - 7') (Now 7' - 7.25')

Current: MSEG - 4.80' - 5.2'

Goal: 9x6

Any type of two part epoxy for plastic should work.

This is what I was thinking. Just very carefully and slowly, so as not to further crack the tube, drill a slightly larger diameter hole in the existing hole. Then get one of those little brass or steal nipples, the kind with 3/8” to 1/2” of fine thread on one end, and a little ribbed nipple on the other end. Again you will have to slowly twist the new nipple into the existing hole, slowly but surely creating threads in the plastic. You may have to go in, and then back it out, removing plastic shavings from the metal threads several times. But I did this successfully to a broken plastic nipple I busted off an in-tank fuel pump last summer. I don’t know why it wouldn’t work for you.

Changed my mind, don’t drill a bigger hole in the tube. Just get a brass nipple with the same size nipple but a slightly, I mean very slightly, like no more than a sixteenth of an inch, larger diameter threaded end. Then slowly but surely screw that new nipple into the existing hole. No need to remove any more plastic material than is absolutely necessary.

Thank you guys, I’ll post pics with what i’ve done, you’re the best!

I would cut the broken piece out of the hose and stick it back on with a decent acrylic glue.

Then get a length of silicone hose rather than that pvc stuff, silicone is much softer and more flexible and less likely to put stress on the repair.

I hate to say this because everything costs money and no matter what we all need more money. How about upgrading your equipment to quick disconnect stuff. By the time you get done screwing around trying to fix a weak product you could have new stuff heading your way and you won’t be down to long.

Well, I tried out installing a new “valve” where the tube gets inserted but it ended up being too big for the tube to fit over, so I just stuck the tube in the cylinder, and it works great! Thanks you guys, pumping is really good to me so I can’t wait to get back on track!

So I am guessing you sealed the tube in there with some kind of glue or silicone adhesive?

When that breaks again and if you are still excited about pumping, I would seriously take the previous advise to upgrade to a quick disconnect cylinder and tube connection.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I didn’t seal it because I need to wash the cylinder and tube properly before I use them. I don’t really feel air getting in the cylinder because I left it very very snug to only fit after you stick it in manually, the tube doesn’t slide in so it holds still when I pump. Should I seal it, and f washing the tube, because there is no way the tube is going to get “contaminated” or whatever anyway? P.s., I am paranoid about throwing foreign stuff up my urethra, but maybe I am overreacting…

Not sure why you would be throwing anything up your urethra. If it holds vacuum I wouldn’t worry about it. If it starts to leak you can always wrap it with something like tape that you can remove if you decide to clean it. It will likely work just fine.
