Homemade pump

I took a Reynolds Ziplock baggie pump and modified it to use with my cylinder and it is perfect and holds the vacuum great. If you ever been in Wall-mart in the place where they have the ziplock baggies look for this great hand held battery operated pump used to vacuum out the Reynolds Ziplock baggies. It is perfect for a cheep battery operated vacuum pump and it doesn’t take much to modify it to work with or on you cylinder

Do you have a vacuum gauge on your cylinder to find out how much vacuum one of those things can pull? I would assume it isn’t much.

Also, how loud is it?

Not too loud. I have to get a gauge. It gets good enough vacuum. Surprised me because it did get a higher vacuum than I expected

Let me know if you get a gauge - they are really cheap at harbor freight.

I might get the brake bleeder pump and gauge from wall-mart. I will test it and reply back. I am short with money right now but will get it later. I will reply with both the hand held vacuum baggie pump and the brake bleeder from wall-mart.. I hear you can get the brake bleeder for under 20 Dollars

Hey slipstream I got a gauge from Advanced Auto and it cost $58 and the little battery operated baggie pump pulled 20+ through 21.5 HGs

Man that little baggie pump can really suck. I got it from wall-mart where they sell the ziplock baggies and it only cost about $7; $6 and something to be exact
