Hi, I’m new to PE and I have decided to start with pumping but I was wondering what other pumpers have seen in terms of length gains (pumping alone)

I’ve seen about an 1/16” length gain from pumping and I’ve been doing it a long time.

That being said, I pump for girth. I’d think that hanging would be the better route to take if you want to focus on length gains.

That is a difficult question to answer, because very few pumpers pump as their exclusive form of PE.

Pumping is a good form of PE.

Some people see gains of like 0.25 to 0.75 in a month of pumping for like 30 mins a day.

What I would suggest is like 30 mins a day of 7 pressure.

(Or if you have time)

2 seperate 30 mins of 5 pressure.

For like 30 days see what comes up.

Current Stats: 6.9BPEL/6.4NBPEL 5.5MEG.

Current Goal: 7BPEL/6.5NBPEL 5.75MEG.

From what I read here and experienced myself 30mins @ 7 could kill a newbie penis.

Just start with the newbie pumping routine and up it from there. Going too long at high pressure can cause fluid buildup, blisters, red spots, bruising, burst veins and a numb dick.

Just take it slow. A smaller dick is better than a broken dick.

I’ve started to pump for an hour with the pressure right under 5, and I follow that with an hour of jelqing. My tube is a bit narrow at 1.5, so I hope to get more length than girth. I’ll give it 90 days.

That sounds like way too much unless you are an experienced veteran. But your cock will tell you soon enough if you are going overboard.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Cool, thanks for the replies .. The thing I don’t understand is the pressure issue. I’ve never used a pump before so I don’t know what it’s like/how it works. Does the pressure keep going up every time you pump until you get to the desired pressure .then what ? Do you stop and leave it there for the remaining time or release the pressure and start again ?

Most of the vets around here advocate between 3 and 5HG for enlargement. The thinking seems to be above that and it can be counterproductive. Just thought I would throw that out there.

Most productive pressure range for me seems to be 3.5 to 4HG.

I noticed if I just stay in the tube for one long shot I will come out of the tube with my dick turtling immediatley. But if I let out of the pressure every 5 minutes during a 15-20 minute session, each time I pump back up I fill the tube a bit more each time. So, by the time I am done with a session I come out with a humongous flaccid. For me, I don’t think it is really critical to stay in the pump one long shot; but rather, release the pressure every so often, and pump back up. Can anyone else attest to this?

I can attest to staying in for a long period and making it turtle. It is hard to do, but I have seen the best improvements when I would pump light (2-4 hg’s) for only 5-10 minutes.MEAN flaccid.

I think you are on the right track, daysdrag. It’s working for you, and there’s nothing dangerous or inadvisable about taking breaks during your pumping session. Some take those kinds of breaks and work in a few jelqs or a little light massage. Others just reduce the vacuum to zero for 30 seconds every five minutes, staying in the tube. I saw a study some time ago that produced the same results that you report.

daysdrag — yes I too cycle the pressure down every 5 minutes. I go down to 1HG for 30 seconds, and then pump back up to 3 to 4HG. I started doing this in the last month or so. I based that on that article/study Lampwick mentioned, and it has worked well for me so far.
