First Pumping Session

First Pumping Session

I got my pump today, early this morning. I enjoyed my first session, more so than I had imagined. I did an experimental set for a few minutes to make sure I could read the gauge and that I was prepared for my “work” sets. I did two sets of 10 minutes each between 5-7 hg with 200 jelqs in between each set. I ended the session with a nice erection, as recommended, and I warmed down with a hot water soak and I was done for the day.

I didn’t experience very much if any fluid buildup, unlike with clamping, and my erection quality was fantastic at the end of the session. All in all I’m glad I made this purchase, and I am going to keep on keeping on with this everyday, short sessions at low Hg and we’ll see where it gets me.

Sounds perfect. Just stick with that same routine for a couple of weeks before making any changes. Remember to pump up slowly and think about adding a heat pad for wrapping around the tube. You can find one a Target for about 15 bucks.

I may do that. How slowly should I pump up? Is there any reason to pump slowly? I entered the tube, pumped to about 3 hg and then to 5 at first then pumped to about 7 hg for the rest of the ten minutes. Is that slow?

The reason to pump up slow is because rapid changes in pressure can lead to rupturing of cell walls or capillaries and it just gives everything inside your cock time to fill and expand slowly and more naturally. I usually spend at least 30 seconds at each whole number as I go up. You can never pump up too slow, but it’s easy to pump up too fast.

As a new pumper, I think you should keep your upper limit at 6 for awhile. Trying to rush things by using the power of the pump doesn’t work and 6”hg is plenty for now. Actually 5 would be good for the first couple of weeks. Haste makes waste. (Also discoloration)

I couldnt agree more. I am more impatient than gprent. If I have a roaring hardon I dont mind pumping up more quickly, but if I have a semi to work with I take it slow.

You all are still missing the point... The story was great and all but should have ass (and) some anal in it.- RWG

Welcome (to pumping) and Good Luck!

Today I focused on going a bit more slowly, and didn’t really notice any difference as far as comfort goes. I did notice that today’s session went better, in the sense that I had a better feel for it. I’m really happy about this, and I have a feeling that it’s only going to get better and better. Now, if only my love life had such a positive outlook.

I’ve had my pump just over a month now. I could only handle 4 initially, then 5 after a couple of days. After a couple of weeks, I could hold at 5 ‘indefinitely’ and now venture up to 6 or 7 for short periods of time. I also drop down to about 3 every 5 min. And work my way back up again. Incidentally, in-tube length has increased 3/4” in that time — quite a kick! Other methods may have more permanent effects, but nothing I’ve tried has the visual thrill of pumping :-)

Anyway, work your way up slowly and get used to 5 or 6 for several weeks, as advised here. (Personally, there are some days where I can go to 10—can’t resist—with no discomfort or side-effects, and other days where even 5 seems like a lot.)

I should add that I do two things differently, now, too:

1. I wrap the tube in a heating pad, and

2. I regularly shake the tube vigorously, I.e., whacking my member against the sides.

I find these techniques—particularly the latter—quickly relieve discomfort and encourage hardness.

Which part? The shaking? I originally started it to make sure I wasn’t sticking to the inside of the tube. But it turned out to be pleasurable :-) And it also seems to encourage the tissues to loosen up faster, I.e., it relieves that brief feeling of ‘tightness’ when I increase the suction.

Well, I used the heating pad today, and I had an awesome session. The heating pad will stay from here on out. I don’t know whether or not it’s because I’ve been Peing for over two years and am very conditioned but anything under 5hg I barely notice much of a pull. I get to 5 hg and up to 7 hg for most of the set and everything is just fine and I ended todays session with a good solid erection. When I got into my first set today I took it slow going from 3-5 in around aminute or so and up to 7hg after 3-4 minutes. Second set I got up to 7 and held it for 8-9 minutes of the set and felt great. I was really freakin’ horny today too, and the heating pad was simply awesome as it kept everything warm and it really seemed to help.

Anyone know why the heating pad works so well?

Because warm things expand better than cold things.

True story. I actually had another session this afternoon, about four hours apart from my first one and it went really well. I did notice a slight increase in expansion, and my veins looked more full and vascular when I had the heating pad around the tube. I’m very happy with this so far. I’m going to wait 6-8 weeks to measure, if not longer. I do fill the tube at the base, but there is plenty of room to grow from midshaft up. I’m definitely excited about this new avenue.

I know you are excited, but it really is best to stay at one session per day. Especially for a newbie. Take it slow and stay in control. That is hard to do sometimes, but that is what brings the best results.

One more tip. As you progress in the weeks ahead, don’t add more pressure, add more time. Time at size is what brings rewards.
