Perfectly said. I can pump at 15 hg and have NEVER gotten a donut. I am uncircumcised which I believe is the reason. Of course, I do not pump that high because a few days later it will be a little tender, but not nearly as much as one may think. My tunica is a tough little bitch.

I usually stay in the 7-10 range. No lymph fluid. No donut. No broken blood vessels or bruising. No soreness. It works for me. But that does not mean it works for you…

Just don’t go bananna’s on your first session and regret it later. With experience comes knowledge and seldomly does true knowledge ever come before experience. Everybody in this forum could talk about the dangers of high Hg until they were blue in the face, but inevitably, someone is going to blow it. Don’t be that person.

Another observation here, I had a kaplan pump, where I felt I could go up to 8hg without any pain. The handle broke and I got another pump, I think it was a mityvac, and I was feeling pain at 3 hg.. so there could be some variance between brands and pumps themselves.. Just keep that in mind.

Possibly Anon, I use a Mityvac Silverline Plus series. The pump is metallic with a valve than can do vacuum or pressurize. If anything its the accuracy of the guage that could account for the reported variance in HG. The Mityvac is used to diagnose mechanical problems, I’d think its the most accurate you can get unless it is damaged.

Electron I try to enter while erect after some manual PE. I did mention using porn and kegeling all the while while pumping. It’s not easy to keep the erection while just viewing porn and pumping, I’m not 18 years old anymore :p . Personally I think that the natural response from discomfort or pain of the overinflated penis is flaccidness in order to prevent injury or at least become semi erect. This would be evident by the many accounts of people not being able to keep their pumped erection right after depressurization. Once out of the tube, some stimulation will get it back up to full erection.

Phoenix and CommanderBlop - I totally agree with the setting you can do without injury, donuts, bruising etc. Although I advocate doing the LEAST you need to get the full expansion of the tunica. Measured via marking the tube. Logically if you merely pump up to normal erectile dimensions wouldn’t you be gaining while getting erections everyday? Why do squeezes, ulis, jelqing at all? There is a point where increasing vacuum does not increase the tunica/lig dimensions, at which point I think you are asking for trouble with tissue failure.

I think I will try to reach the mark with only 7 hg this time in 3 sets, it could be time dependent. If this were true though wouldn’t lowering the vacuum from 12 to 7 while in the tube result in no visible dimension reduction?

Update I achieved the marked length with 10 HG. Went up to 12 then let in some pressure until I saw a visual change in size, then pumped up again and narrowed down the fine line to 10 HG. That is the method I am using to find my optimum setting. This setting will vary with each individual I’m sure. If you can do it at 5 HG or lower please do.

One of the things I’ve found is there can be a vast difference between what LOOKS good in the tube, and what WORKS!!!

I can get HUGE pumping while clamped, but the bigger I get, the more stress I’ve caused to my unit.

The more stress I’ve applied to my unit, the longer it takes to recover. Also, it tends to cause scar tissue production, which slows your growth.

More IS NOT better!

I have found that moderate vacuums (3 in hg) won’t cause me to get as big in the tube, yet when I come back the next few days, I’ll measure longer in the tube!

When I pump up the vacuum to 6 in hg, I’ll stretch out longer in the tube, yet when I come back in a day or so, I’ll be shorter!

As electron told you…you MUST base your routine on your responses!

What does your penis do immediately after your routine?

What happens the next couple days to your erections?

Are you growing, shrinking or staying the same?

Until you start to look at these, you are just GUESSING with your routine.

I wrote a couple threads on this, so I won’t re-write it here. You can do a search on threads I’ve started and find them if you’re interested.

In my opinion, to pump without an erection is worse than a waste of time.

Yes, its hard to stay erect for long periods of time while in the tube. The good news is I believe short periods of time are the most productive anyway.

In PE we have to stop looking at how big your dick gets during the exercise and start looking at how it reacts to what you are doing, if we ever want to making growing a REPRODUCIBLE science.

I hear you sparkyx. Isn’t expirimenting what science is all about? Immediately after the 10 HG session, the penis has no trouble in getting and keeping an erection. The erection is nice and healthy. I measure all the time and there have been no shrinkage this time. The shrinkage from 12 HG was only temporary, but I had to give it 3-4 days rest all the meanwhile still jelqing and stretching.

I am a bodybuilder and I guess naturally I assume if you are not working everything to its limits how can you make it grow. I also know because of this that 1 max rep that could tear muscle fibers, tendons , ligaments will do more harm than good. I am scientifically trying to find the optimum setting. At this point I concluded the vacuum right after there are no more discernable size changes is ideal.

If you are making gains on your routine, Congratulations! That is what I am attempting to do. If I end up with your routine as being the best for my gains so be it. I am trying to use logic, expirimentation and result comparison to see what my routine should be. I’ve stated over and over why I am doing it this way. I hope there will be more replies other than, “I gained with less” or “You don’t know what you are doing” , “other people don’t do this” types. If you gained with a certain routine that doesn’t stretch the tunic/lig to the max please help explain WHY it happened . I explained why it shouldn’t happen. I am not looking at the HG as a score, I am looking at the HG as the result of what is happening in the tube. If the same thing happened to me at 3 HG I would have stated 3 HG. I think many of you are getting hung up on the higher than normal HG. If I had stated it to be 7 I don’t think I would have been ostracized so quickly on this matter.

I have stated that I constantly attempt to pump with an erection. I do not know where the assumption that it is flaccid is coming from. If you have explained scientifically why the penis enlarges with less than a maximumly stretched tunic/ligament in any of your threads I will read up on it. I have perused the past articles already but admittedly not all of them.

Any chance of getting a clearer picture of that gauge? I am not trying to be a pain in the ass here, we can use a good clear picture of your multi-scale gauge as a future reference for new pumpers.

Now, a question, which scale are you using to determine 10in HG?

I’m just trying to make sure you were not using the wrong gauge, it has happened in the past, hence the idea of getting good clear pictures of multi scale gauges.

I am still thinking that maybe your gauge may be out of calibration, but short or having it recalibrated, there is no way to make sure. This thread may serve to bring up different conditions that a person can use other than depending on the accuracy of his gauge.

Please don’t take anything that I wrote as criticism. I’m just up on my soap box!

As far as why or how…we’re all just giving our best guesses!

The point should be, not why or how it works…just that it WORKS!

I can tell you that many of the successful vets use low vacuum forces, for moderate to low times…and it works.

Everything else is just speculation.

The whole thrust of my philosophy is to make accurate observations of how your unit responds to the forces you are using… and learn from them.

In the end, that is the process that will lead you to what will work for you.

After about 6 months of pumping, I had gradually upped the pressure to what many consider high. By the end of last year (1 year anniversary), I consistently pumped at 7-10hg, 10 minutes a set, 4-5 sets a workout. I might edge up to 12hg for 2-3 minutes during a set My workouts usually were with a pair of condoms (Trojan extra thick) on, which tends to mitigate a fair amount of the pressure. I was very impressed with the results, some incredible expansion. Some fluid but not enough for the donut. Fat boy into the next day. Erections unaffected. Wife very pleased.

The problem was that, as others have noted, injuries have a way of sneaking up on you. One warning sign was discomfort if I pursued this workout 2 or 3 days in a row. Also, a tiny red spot grew into a small red spot which grew into a bigger red spot. It would fade but not entirely go away after a day or two, then re-emerge at the next session. No pain or discomfort, but as a precaution I took 5 weeks off.

I just started back. I’m doing just 2 sets x 10 minutes, at 5-6 hg. The red spot issue is better though not fully cleared up. It feels great to be back in the pump. I’d love to get back to where I was (fully packing a 2” tube with two condoms on) but I’m telling myself to go slow and be methodical.

So be careful. Everyone is different. I marvel that some folks can get a great workout at 3-4 hg. For me, that barely pulls tally out of his shell. But I also know if you play the high pressure game, you may get great results but are taking definite risks. Where exactly that perfect line is I don’t know. For me, I’m still working on it.
