Electric vs. Hand Pumps

F*CK! I just saw how much it costs..

This dynamic thing sounds good though.

I’m having a hard time remembering what an aquarium pumps sounds like. But it’s definitely quieter than a refrigerator. Also, it only runs when it needs to increase the vacuum, which depends on the program you design.

Had my second session with the QS7 today. Really nice. I programmed it to do two 11:28 sets that fluctuated between 2 hg and 5 hg (holding at each level for 60 seconds), with a 0 hg rest for 1 second midway through each set. (I interspersed the pumping sets with 10-min clamping sets and 5-min jelqing sets.) Man, talk about stimulation! It was like jelqing, stretching, and edging all at the same time. I produced an incredible amount of precum throughout the entire session and was rock hard during the clamping portions and noticeably plumper without being too puffy at the end of it all. It’s been about 20 minutes since I completed the session, I’m wrapped in my Therawrap, and the unit’s still tingling. One thing is for sure, if this routine doesn’t produce some permanent girth increases, it certainly feels good, lol.

Had my third session of “dynamic pumping” last night. So far so good. Still getting positive PIs, which is good for me considering the negative effect pumping has had on them for me in the past. I like the absolute control I have over pressure and time using the programmable pump. I’m still working on getting the ideal routine down, though, which combines clamping and jelqing as well. My “New IPR Routine” thread discusses my experimentation with these issues.

Maybe I’ll treat myself to one of these machines on my next birthday. Being a committed pumper, this might be the next step in experimentation. Thanks for the update.

Hey Peforeal, how much did that committed pumping contribute to those incredible girth gains, man? You’re an inspiration!

brianrex,

As I look back on my PE career (since 2001) with some perspective, I’d have to say that at least 90% of the girth gains I made (and still make) came from pumping. Pumping is the one consistent PE factor in everything I’ve done, and the activity I’ve used the most with continuous commitment. I don’t ever see the day coming when I’d stop.

Well, this is encouraging, particularly given the $$ I just forked over for the QS7, lol. What does your weekly PE schedule look like? I’m still trying to find the right balance of session duration/frequency to maximize (achieve) girth gains. Thanks in advance.

brianrex,

I’m pumping at least one hour/day for 3 days/week and occasionally four if time permits. I have also gone for weeks when I haven’t pumped at all, but that’s my traditional schedule. If my dick ever feels like it’s pumped fatigued or it’s starting to be not as responsive to pumping, then I just take several days off and start again later.

I think one of the key factors in making gains pumping is to keep the pressure in the 3 - 5” hg range, depending on your dick’s tolerance for the different pressures. I guess with your electric pump, you could program it to cycle up and down which would probably be very advantageous for keeping good circulation going. I started out doing only 10 minute pumps and then gradually worked my way up to a full hour of pumping and more.

Sometimes pumping feels so good that a guy wants to push the envelope and raise the pressure. Even if you experiment with higher pressure (in the 6 - 8” range), be absolutely sure to make your stay in this zone 30 seconds or less. Otherwise, the likelihood of water blisters is higher. Not fun. Girth gains come about much better in the 3 - 5” hg range. Sometimes a higher pressure can be useful for length gains and maximizing the dick stretch in the tube (again be careful).

Have fun.

I have had a total change in pumping philosophy since going to a low pressure one hour (3X20 minute sets) routine. Everything I do now is related to very low trauma and totally restoring a healthy look to my penis.

The maximum pressure that I now use is 4”hg and even at that pressure, I take my time when pumping up by pausing at 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5. I always use heat. But the biggest change for me is I have adopted peforeal’s every other day routine and in just a little over a weeks time, my results have never been better and I am confident I have a routine I will be sticking with for a long time.

If anyone has read my previous posts, they will know I have often called an every other day schedule the worst PE schedule going. But when doing PE for a hour at a time, I just couldn’t keep up with doing PE several days in a row without suffering negative effects. So now it is every other day for me. I still think that for guys that do PE for say 15 to 30 minutes a day you do get best results going for several days in a row. But for extended routines, it’s looking very good for an every other day schedule.

This sounds like a doable load for me. I’m already up to about 1 hour a day/3 days a week now with my IPR routine that consists primarily of jelqing and clamping. I just started working occasional pumping in last week when I go the QS7. Starting next week, I think I’ll reverse things by emphasizing the pumping (got to make the most of that investment, lol) and using jelqing as a bridge between pumping sets to get to a total workout time of about 1 hour/3 days per week. I may give clamping a rest for a while or use it to replace one 10-minute pumping set in the routine from time to time. What do you think of this approach?

I definitely agree with you on the low hg approach. I designed a program for my QS7 that cycles the vacuum between 0 hg and 5 hg over a ten-minute set, concentrating most of the time in th 2 hg to 4 hg range. I got a really nice pump, minus the trauma the few times I’ve used the program. The real test for me will be the impact on my erections over time. In the past, my dick just seemed to get worn out after about 2 weeks of 5 hg pumping ever other day. Morning wood diminished significantly and I had to be really into it sprout a good one.

Maybe this new approach will allow me to sidestep this particular negative PI. The only reason I’m still pursuing pumping at this point is that I really believe that the only girth gains I’ve made after years of PEing are due to the “over-pumping” I did (without a pressure gauge, yikes!) when I was first starting out. The inch I gained in length came a year or two later and seemed to be the result of newbie gains from jelqing, which I had just discovered. So I’m hoping this new pumping approach and equipment will help me get past the girth plateau I’ve been stuck on for too many years.

UPDATE: 2/15/07

Well, fellas, it’s been more than two weeks of my “maintenance” pump routine with the QS7 (full pump MWF, with light pump T, Th, and Sat, Sun rest) and full steam ahead. Absolutely NO erection issues, despite pumping almost daily and clamping and pumping for nearly one hour on full workout days. This is a first for me. In the past, pumping always started to weaken the erections by the second week or so. Maybe this is all the result of my soy experiment (see my thread on eliminating soy from my diet). Or maybe the QS7 and “dynamic” pumping is the answer for me!

Last night, I hooked up Mrs. Brianrex for Valentine’s day and the unit was more than up to the task, despite a grueling pump/clamp routine earlier that morning. I’m in the tube right now for my Thursday morning 10-minute maintenance pump the morning after. It feels great and the dick was hard before going into the tube.

THE BOTTOM LINE: This could just be the answer I’m lookiing for. With my ADS, I’m staying plumper than normal virtually continuously. I’m hoping, of course, that this routine will eventually pay off in some permanent girth increase for me. If not (and in the meantime), I have an enhanced flaccid hang (over 7” now) and I’m fatter both flaccid and erect pretty much all the time (judging from Mrs. Brianrex’s reactions last night, it certainly makes a difference, lol.) The only drawback: concealing everything with the Therawrap ADS at the gym during workouts is getting to be a challenge, lol.

An investment of 500 dollar can be returned easily if you are planning to pump like me for at least two more years.

An average of 5 hours a week for 2 years long
=
5*52*2
=
104 hours!

Let’s say that you can multitask at least 50 hours more, than you will have returned the investment.
Every hour after it is profit.

And that is if you calculate every hour is just 10 dollar, which for most guys will be more.

(I live outside the U.S, if I have enough info to trust a delivery here in Holland I will buy one)

I, can, I can, I can not, can not compute..

That programmable pump would be easy and cheap to homebrew. All it takes is a smart monkey. I wish I knew enough about PICs, and strain gauges.
