Dynamic pumping resource and discussion.

I think AustFred has become the expert in mitigating edema:
Short cycle pumpling + Mr Fantastic pump + water pumping + silicone sleeve + glans protector + baby powder

@AustFred - you are obviously dedicated (knowledge, time, money) to your PE - what would you say is the #1 benefit of your efforts so far?

Mike

>what would you say is the #1 benefit of your efforts so far?

I got length gains early mainly from extending and then girth gains from pumping but have been largely plateauing recently .

However to answer your question the #1 benefit has been much better EQ and the resultant impact on sex with the wife.

To be fair we had a disruptive house move recently and are still sorting out the new house so the only consistent form of PE I am doing at present is pumping and jelqing, Once sorted out I will get back into extending and ADS and may experiment with a bit of hanging.

>Short cycle pumpling + Mr Fantastic pump + water pumping + silicone sleeve + glans protector + baby powder

Yes the sleeve does prevent edemas and the glans protector + baby powder has prevented blisters in my case. Not sure though about short cycle pumping. I try to get about 2 min cycles and suspect longer cycles would be better. After Rootsnatty’s advice that elastic stretching (short cycle) toughens up tissues I am not keen on very short cycles.

Fred

So with just a few posts on this thread we already have:

~5 second cycle (BeardedDragon)

~10-15 second cycle (26 week protocol for Peyronie’s Disease)

~120 second cycle (AustFred)

Hi everyone, I’m extending 10 hours daily and I gained 1 inch in erect length, but in EG I have only 12,5 cm. I would try dynamic pumping with extender to gain in circumference, but I’m afraid I harden tunic’s tissue with this high stress, is it true what rootsnatty said about stress relaxation and longer cycle? Moreover I would know the pinstripeee’s experience about it, thank you for attention!

Ps: in your opinion can we use extender with dynamic pump without over-training and avoiding that the pump limit or own blocks length gains by extender?

satyrus

I will have a go at answering your question

> I’m extending 10 hours daily and I gained 1 inch in erect length, but in EG I have only 12,5 cm.

Congrats that is a good result and reinforces the case for time in PE being the major factor

>I would try dynamic pumping with extender to gain in circumference, but I’m afraid I harden tunic’s tissue with this high stress,

My personal belief is that extending and pumping are complementary and by adding dynamic pumping to your routine will in itself do nothing to overstress your unit or harden your tunica. The rule you should follow as many advise here is as soon as you see your EQ dropping, take a rest break. Other than that you should find you get some girth gains from pumping. I also found it helped my EQ.

> is it true what rootsnatty said about stress relaxation and longer cycle?

I have no expertise in answering this question other than my instinct that Rootsnatty seemed to know what he was talking about. My intrepretatioin of that was that if you stretch repeatedly for a few seconds and then relax then that would be elastic stretching and that may toughen penis tissues (incl the tunica) However if you dynamically stretch (eg pump) in longer cycles say a few minutes then you are getting out of the elastic range and that should give you gains.

Can someone else more knowledgeable on anatomical questions step in tell me whether I have this right or wrong?

If it helps rootsnatty said a stretch should be minimum 15secs and everything I’ve read about flexibility training says minimum 30secs.

Flexibility is different from permanent lengthening though and for that goal the numbers I’ve seen are 20-45mins sustained stretch.

Cap that is interesting

>everything I’ve read about flexibility training says minimum 30secs

That’s useful and suggests we should use at least 1 minute cycles to be sure.

>Flexibility is different from permanent lengthening though and for that goal the numbers I’ve seen are 20-45mins sustained stretch.

That is consistent with what I have read about both extending and pumping. Men seem to get better results with longer stretch sessions.

Now I would regard dynamic stretching a special case in that during each cycle even at the minimum point of the cycle there is still some stretch so I am not sure you need at least 20 minutes per cycle. There may be a case though for not setting the minimum vacuum too low. I have certainly gained 1/2” MSEG through dynamic pumping.

Austfred and capernicus thank you so much for your answers, I’m going to use the extender for more 3 months (so far I’ve done 4 months of use) and I want to associate to this a good dynamic pumping routine: 1) initially the pressure is minimum 3 and maximum 7 hg in a 2 minutes cycle, then every 2 weeks I increase the max pressure of 1hg and after the first month the sets become 1 hour x 2 sessions; 2) at the end of the second month I arrive at max 10 hg, so I continue to increase the pressure up to 3-14 hg at the end of the 4th month (if 14 hg is too high I start the set at 3-10 hg and every ten minutes I increase the max pressure of 1hg, so only the last 20 minutes the max pressure is 14 hg); 3) if in the future I note the arrival of the plateau period, in one day a week I do 2 sets of 30 minutes with higher pressure, for example 3-15/16 hg to break the plateau and continue the gains. PS: obviously I cannot take a pause of a few days during the weekly routine. What do you think about?

So what are folks doing about increasing upper pressure limits through a session ?
Do you start low and build up or just jump straight in ?

So far I’ve been taking it easy and starting at 2.5” hg and building up to 6” hg over 20mins or so.
Been at this for over a month now and I have noticed an improvement in Eq.

I’ve also tried heat a few times but it seems to increase my chance of blisters or blood spots.

Looks like a reasonable plan. However when I was building up I took a simpler approach. I just increased the max vacuum after a few days say by 1” at a time till I reached 14”. I rarely did more than one session a day.

I see the largest risk as blisters and strongly recommend you use baby powder under the cap.

For convenience sake I maintain the same setting throughout a session and do adjustments between sessions. Cannot see any point in adjusting within a session.

Believe the higher max sittings with a dynamic pump are more likely to give gains but come at a risk of blisters especially if you do not use baby power under the cap.

That’s interesting. I use hot water with my water pump and am only able to do so because of the sleeve. Too hot for my penis otherwise. Before I used the cap + baby powder I was getting blisters and the heat may have had something to do with it.

The following might be best in a separate thread but it certainly applies to “dynamic pumping”…

It is important to remember that there are at least 3 approaches to pumping and to short cycle (dynamic) pumping that affects the amount of vacuum in the cylinder during the “Hold” part of the cycle. I will explain the concepts with examples using a manual pump even though many guys use electric pumps.

Pump & Stop: Pumping to 5” Hg and stop pumping. As the penis expands in the cylinder the vacuum will decrease and eventually stabilize at a level less than 5” Hg. This type of cycle is similar to when guys pump up then disconnect the pump from the cylinder for mobility and long hold times. The length of time to stabilize and final level of vacuum seems to vary depending on erection status.

Pump at constant vacuum: Pumping to 5” Hg and continuing to pump a little as the penis expands to keep the gauge at 5” Hg for a certain time. The penis is exposed to 5” Hg vacuum all the time even as the penis expands in the cylinder. This method will produce the most edema if time and vacuum exceed the threshold of the tissue - in other words, with enough vacuum and time fluid will be pulled into the skin thereby forming a blister.

Pump with controlled leak: Pumping to 5” Hg, stop pumping, then gradually decreasing the vacuum with a controlled leak (valve) thereby lessening the exposure of the penis to vacuum. This approach subjects the penis to spikes in vacuum but only for a short time and is the method that the Mr. Fantastic pump system uses.

Short cycle (dynamic) pumping can use any of these 3 methods by simply cycling to lower vacuum (or none) instead of “pump and hold.”

When guys report the their results it’s important know exactly what they are doing in terms of pumping technique. I also think there are many variables such as erection status (“pumping hard vs soft”) that affect results. The “pump with controlled leak” technique has the most variables of all.

Also the orientation of the pump.

It seems to me that :

1) when you sit on a chair (ass and thighs fully on it), with the pump parallel to the ground, you will get a lower enlargement inside the cylinder,

2) comparing to a situation where you sit on a couch (only a part of the ass) with the cylinder pointing down.

As you work a bigger portion of the inner penis. This is the same with jelqing sitted vs standing.

Don’t forget to protect the head with a condom or with compression bandage to avoid blisters.

Dynamic pumping is only for very advanced pumping users (several years of experience).
