Cylinders in 1/8” Increments

Cylinders in 1/8” Increments

I’ve been Peing for over 9 months and have made some good length gains (1.5”), but only modest girth gains (.375”). This may not seem too bad, but I got almost all the girth gain in my first two months, and haven’t gained any girth since. My girth has been stuck at 5.375” for many months. Every once in a while I’ll get to 5.5” for a week or two, but as soon as I gain a little more length again, it robs it from girth and I go back down to my standard 5.375”

It seems as if alternating 5 minute pumping sessions with short jelq sessions has been a productive strategy for many people, so I decided to go for it.

I ordered the metal Mityvac Silverline for $44.88 from Arizona Tools (…keyword=mit4000). I couldn’t find the $25 plastic Mityvac everyone’s been talking about for any less than $35, so I figured as long as I had to spend that much, it would be worth it to spend an extra $10 to get it in metal with a carrying case, and a bunch of extra tubing adapters. From the pic, it looks like the Silverline kit includes the needed ¼” male coupler, whereas the plastic one does not. This alone, would almost justify the price difference. Can anyone confirm this?

As far as cylinders go, it seems like most people recommend a 1.75” cylinder for my width. This strikes me as somewhat odd, because 1.75” diameter = 5.5” circumference! My goal from pumping is solidify the 5.5” girth and then move past it. I want a cylinder that can take me up to 6”, and I just don’t think a 1.75” cylinder will give me enough growing room. On the other hand, I do see how a 2” cylinder might be a tad too big.

The obvious solution was to get a 1 7/8” cylinder. I looked far and wide before I finally found a site selling custom cylinders in 1/8” increments. I ordered a 1 7/8” x 11” cylinder from www.nwpumpworks. They were the ONLY place I could find selling cylinders in 1/8” increments. Luckily, they also have pretty competitive prices.

I read a lot of posts here where people couldn’t decide between a 1 ¾”, or 2” cylinder. It seems to me that a 1 7/8” cylinder would hit the sweet spot for a lot of guys. It strikes me as curious that more places don’t sell in 1/8” increments. I think a lot of guys are falling between the cracks because a ¼” increment translates into MORE than a ¾” girth increase, which is too great in my opinion—kind of like when a store only carries pants in the even sizes (30, 32, 34) and I end up needing a 33—very frustrating!

You make a good point about 1/4th inch increments.

Peforeal and Boxcar being noteable exceptions - and maybe they will weigh in here with ideas - girth is more difficult to lay on for most of us than length.

I did find that doing variations on Ulis between pump sessions increased girth but it took awhile. Horses are excellent, once you are conditioned, but I cannot do them without paying the penalty of dark patches on the underside of the shaft. Others say they don’t get this. It must be a personal body chemistry issue.

Good decisions!

Mushroom, I commend you for persevering until you found a better cylinder size option! I think you are right that, for many, a 1/4” diameter jump is too much. Sounds like you found the right cylinder for your needs.

Also, I agree that if there is only a $10 difference there between the plastic MityVacII and the metal Silverline (and you get a case, too), that’s a pretty good deal. My plastic version was $23 plus tax, and it came with lots of tubing and fittings. Unfortunately, the male fitting needed to couple with the cylinder was NOT one of those included!! If your pump has that fitting included, then it really is a no-brainer. The fitting goes for an average of $8 from various penis pump sites.

Short pumping sessions with jelqing and some form of squeeze thrown in between sets is a good girth routine. Start with a couple of 5-minutes sets of pumping per day, and add to that as you acclimate to pumping.

Good luck! Hope you can add the girth you are after.

The 1 7/8 inch diameter cylinder is probably the most ideal size for you to have found and use based on your current girth stats. When I first decided to try pumping as a novice two years ago, I was a bit overambitious in choosing my cylinder and went with a 2.5 inch diameter. It didn’t take me long to realize that this was way too large, especially when my balls kept on getting sucked into the tube. It was useful though for pumping both my dick and balls simultaneously, which helped me to loosen and stretch my very tight ballsac at the time. That problem has now been eliminated.

I returned to the internet store and purchased a 1.75 inch cylinder, which was a much better fit and much more effective in my early dick-only pumping efforts. Later I purchased a 2 inch cylinder, which is the one I usually commence my current pumping activities with. Because I have widened quite a bit at the base of my shaft, I am presently able to make the leap from a 2.00 inch to my 2.50 inch and continue to pump bigger, maintaining a decent seal at the base. To prevent possible sucking up of my balls into the tube, I tie them down with a
1.5 inch width strip of rubber bicycle innertubing. The strip is tight enough to create a decent separation between my dick and balls and comfortable enough to wear for a period of time while pumping.

Thanks for the nwpumpworks link, which may be quite useful for others wanting to purchase a cylinder and who are also in the “in-between” girth stage like you. Good luck.

How do you "tie them down"?

Peforeal, just out of curiosity, I was wondering how you tie your balls downs with the strip of bicycle innertubing. Could you give details on how you are doing that? Thanks!

I just buy the cheapest standard rubber bicycle innertube from K-Mart, Walmart, etc. You can then cut out any length of strip that you like. I like to use a 1.5 inch section. You should now have a thin flexible stretchy circular rubber strip 1.5 inches wide and about 4 inches in circumference. If the rubber strip seems too firm or too small or too tight fitting, you can grab it from two ends, pull and stretch until you’ve increased the elasticity and thinness of the rubber. Basically, what you now have can be used as a kind of homemade rubber cock ring or cock strip, or ballsac ring or ballsac strip, etc. Grab the strip using two fingers from each hand, pull wide apart and slip around your ballsac, with the balls hanging below and adjust for comfort. Use it in combination with some lube, lotion or what have you.

When I choose to pump in the larger 2.5 inch diameter cylinder, I need to separate my balls more (create a barrier) from the base of my penis, so that they don’t get sucked up into the cylinder under vacuum pressure. So, I take a rubber strip and put it around my ballsac separating my balls further from my shaft. Then I pump being careful to pull down gently on the ballsac and allowing the base of my shaft to expand under vacuum pressure, creating a good seal in the pump. That’s it.

I hope this explanation helps. Obviously, if I had a picture it would be worth a thousand words. You can see that I’m always looking at finding inexpensive, homemade devices for PE purposes. Necessity is the mother of invention!

"I see," said the blind man.

Peforeal, thank you for that explanation. I’ve got you now!

Somehow, I was envisioning a rectangular “strip” that you were tying. You meant you were cutting out a cross-section making a “ring”. Duh! Thanks for patiently explaining what was probably obvious. :chuckle:
