Cylinder Size...Pumping for Length

Right now I measure 7.25” NBPEL x 5.25”. Currently, I am using a 9” x 1.75” tube in which it takes about an hour to pack the sides and about 3/4 of the way up the tube. My goal is to gain more length, not only by pumping but doing other manual and ADS exercises combined with “marathon” pumping (1+ hours at least once a week). Since my focus is length and it is taking me such a long time to pack my 1.75” tube, I am thinking I should drop down to a 1.5” tube. In my opinion, once I pack the tube more of the pressure will focus on length expansion instead of girth. Pumping at low pressures for a longer period of time should produce some length gains in a relative amount of time.

However, I am uncertain if a packed tube will compromise blood circulation?

Should I go down to the 1.5” tube?

Thanks guys for your input!

You won’t even fit into a 1.5” tube, so forget it. The 1.75” is perfect for you and you just have to be patient. Also, once you fully pack a tube, it does become a little tricky keeping the pressure low enough so that you don’t develop blisters on the head as all of the pressure is now concentrated there. Just keep doing what you are doing and stay patient.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

If I go in limp I am pretty sure I can fit. In addition, I am quite certain it would even take me some time to pack a 1.5” tube. Honestly, although I pump up well, the effect goes away after a couple days and I have not seen any permanent increases in girth.

Trust me, I am being very patient. I also want to make sure I am maximizing techniques to reach my goals.

Oh, you may be able to fit into a 1.5” cylinder if you go in limp. The problem becomes when you get expansion and start to make contact along the sides of the cylinder, which will impede expansion along the long axis of your penis. Since that’s exactly the expansion you’re striving for, you’re defeating your own purpose by going to a smaller diameter cylinder.

If you’re getting a good seal at the base, and it’s taking you some time to pack the cylinder, my guess is that you have the best possible size for developing length.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

I am not sure why “contact along the sides of the cylinder” would “impede expansion along the long axis of your penis”? I thought that is why I should use some good lube? If you are packing the cylinder width wise, after awhile, I would think your penis can only get longer since it has no where else to go?

I understand your logic for “getting a good seal at the base”, and I think I like hearing the “you have the best possible size for developing length”. LOL However, until I pack the tube about 3/4 of the way up, my penis usually stays the same erect length. Once I start packing the tube about 3/4 of the way up, then my penis starts to lengthen some. From your earlier statement though, this seems contradictory to what you were suggesting would happen if I go down to a 1.5” tube?

I have watched my penis very carefully and length-wise, I do not budge until I have packed at minimum 3/4 of the tube, UNLESS I increase the pressure above 5 mm Hg which we both know is not safe.

When you are packing the tube, you are, in effect, creating a dam which blocks the vacuum from reaching the shaft below the dam. If you insist on going down in size, look into the LAPump Wide Mouth oval 1.5” which is approximately half way between a round 1.5 and 1.75”. I use the 1.5” oval and my unpumped EG is about 4.75 and I can pack 3/4 up at 4 hg after 20 minutes and sometimes fully pack it after 40 minutes. I also immediately fully pack a 1.5” round cylinder.

I would say Gparent and Lampwick have given you good advice.

I’ve heard this theory and also thought that the sides would pack and the friction would prevent the length from being maximized.

Please fill us in on if this is the reality, because if I can use a smaller diameter tube and go in limp and get a greater length expansion, and it actually results in gains I would be interested.

Some may disagree, but I personally do not consider pumping an appropriate exercise for length. I pumped for 8 months without gaining any length. I did not start to show any increase in length until I added extending to my routine.

I have tried to do as much research and reading about this topic as possible. Every pump forum I have read talks about using a smaller diameter tube for length gains, making sure you keep at lower, <5 mm HG, to prevent blistering on the head of your penis. In addition, many have recommended pumping for long periods of time with breaks every 10 - 20 minutes.

In my humble opinion, the only downside to girth-prone fricition would be irritation/rash of your penis where the tube and skin meet, IF your penis is not properly lubed. From my understanding, pressure can only go in two directions, girth- and length-wise. After you have packed the tube, in theory, more pressure should be focused on length-wise expansion.

DJ, I think we may just have to test out our little theory and report back?!?!?!?!

I agree that pumping alone is not the best technique for gaining length, mainly due to the fact our tubes are always larger than our erect girth. More pressure is being exerted on maker the penis thicker rather than longer, until the tube is packed.

Like you, I am using other methods for length, in combination with pumping.

If you don’t mind me asking, what are your current stats, what size tube are you using, and how long are you pumping?

Guys: Just think about the physics of hydraulics for a minute. The vacuum does not care what you want and how you want it. The force is always perpendicular to the tangent of the surface at any point. Thus throughout about 80% of the shaft, the pumping vacuum is pulling, incrementally, perpendicularly to the tube. As the shaft typically starts to turn inward, the force direction changes incrementally to say, 5 deg., 10 deg. 12 deg., etc. till reaching the corona. Each of those tangencies “resultants” have two components —a horizontal component and a vertical one. The vertical one is the lesser of the two and is what you summate for force in the lengthwise direction. Only at the top of the glans is the force totally in the upward or vertical direction. What does that tell you? It tells you that at any particular hg, the vertical component of force is going to be the same whether “packed” or not. However, if “packed”, the cells of most the shaft are reinforced allowing you to increase the vacuum to higher hg but—but, obviously more injury possibility to the glans an the veinous mass serving it.

PS: If un-cut, and you want to be “packed” , it would be better to enter the sleeve erect but not retracted so that the vertical component of force would have a frictionless result while lengthening. A cut guy should really grease up.

howardson, true a vacuum will pull everywhere. But if you have packed the tube then you have nowhere to go except for length. Of course that requires good lube. I’m cut and go in with lube. It takes a few minutes to pack, and don’t have any issue with expanding length after being packed. I fluctuate the vacuum from 2-5hg and freely expand and contract.

B4: ?? 2019: 6.875" NBPEL / 7.5" BPEL / 5.75" EG

2/20: ?? NBPEL / 7.75" BPEL / 5.75" EG

Goal: 8" x 5.75", maybe coveted 8 x 6

mike_rach: If you re-read my post, you will see that we are saying the same thing as concerns being packed. However on any given hg the pull to the vertical will be the same whether packed or unpacked!

I have been pumping for about 14 months. I am not a diligent measurer because I have ED, induced primarily by 18 years of diabetes. I began pumping to improve EQ and to add temporary girth for more pleasurable sex. Measuring, therefore, was not a top priority. I believe my beginning NBP stats were about 4.5 x 4.5 (MS). I am currently about 4.7 x 4.75. After a pumping session, I am about 4.75 X 5+. I use the word “about” a lot because with ED it’s difficult to get a consistently good hard erection. I started using an extender in May. When I started, my BP stretched length in the extender was about 5.25, Today, it is 6.5. All of the length gains occurred after I started using the extender. I also started hanging in November.

I started with a 1.5” tube which took me more than 4 months before I could fully pack it after a 45 minute session. I now pack it immediately. I than ordered a 1.5” LAP Wide Mouth oval cylinder. I can now pack it up 3/4 of the way after 20 minutes. I am now thinking of moving up to a 1.75 round.

Based on my experience, I feel that the pump and extender compliment each other very well. The extender works well for length and is helped by the pump. The pump works well for girth and is helped by the extender,
