Cylinder Recommendations?

Cylinder Recommendations?

I think the name says it all, but some things to consider may be:

-Comfort (flare vs. some kind of padding vs. whatever else one might find at the base of the cylinder)
-Cost (…)
-Compatible check valves, etc.

Who should I give my hard-earned cylinder dollars to?

I have always liked the flared lapdist cylinders myself, although lately I pump with a large full package cylinder called the LongJohnny from pumptoys. It is now my favorite way to pump.

All of the professional cylinders use the same female check valve.

I personally like thick wall cylinders. Easier to keep the vas deferens(which in turns makes it easier to prevent the balls from being sucked in) from being sucked in and for me it’s easier to get a good seal consistently.

I am greatly considering buying a longjohnny tube after reading about full package pumping.

If you’re a beginner though I would suggest buying a penis only cylinder first.

I’ve got the Vacutech thickwall cylinder, and I find it to be very comfortable.

I also have the Pumptoys LongJohnny, and have been very satisfied with it as well. It is a useful complement to the Vacutech, and I pump with both.

If I were to choose just one to start out with, it would be the Vacutech thickwall cylinder.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

Thanks for the advice, everybody.

Stormy, I like this vas deferens safety that you speak of. I think that’s the occasional trouble I’ve been having; once in a while, right after increasing pressure, I’ll get intense pain right above one testicle and have to release the vacuum, reposition, and start over. Does this sound like I’m putting pressure on the vas deferens, because of my poorly-designed cylinder foot? Anyone?

For $20 extra, I’d like to know that the thick wall cylinder is going to be REALLY comfortable compared to Lapdist’s flared one. Like I keep saying here and there, I’m on a tight budget here.

Thanks again, everybody. Maybe some day I’ll know something that you don’t, and I can return the favor.

It’s just a guess, but is it possible that your current cylinder is a bit too large, and you’re getting scrotum pulled in?

Sounds like a potential problem with cylinder size to me.

Have you checked out Gprent’s great thread Selecting Your Cylinder Size ? If you’re putting money into a new cylinder, you want to be certain that you’re buying the right size.

Anytime I’ve felt pain from pumping in the testicle area, it always starts because of the vas deferens. The thick wall(or any straight walled cylinder) makes it easier for me to position the vas deferens very clearly outside of the tube, which keeps the testicles from being sucked in.

I also owned a flared tube. I actually physically cut off the flaring, sanded down the edges and made it into a straight walled tube.

The primary reason I’m personally all about the thick walled is because of the thicker wall; there is a wider base of contact from cylinder to body which makes for a much more comfortable fit. This makes a huge difference if you pump for long sessions. The thickness of the wall also means that the vas deferens/testicles have that much more of a barrier to have to work through.

Sidenote: Thickwalled cylinder are often advertised as being good for length gains. I have not personally exerienced this.

Nope. I’m actually using a cylinder smaller than Gprent’s recommendation. The only reason I’m itching to upgrade is because I’m packing this one already, and I haven’t had any gains! Fortunately, it was an $8 gravel pump, and I don’t feel much sense of loss replacing it. In fact, I’m going to use the base (which I fitted with a custom shapelock comfort thingy) as the beginning of a static stretcher. No PE device left behind!

I think I’m leaning hard towards the thick walled cylinder. Stormy and Lampwick make persuasive arguments, and, for some reason, these just look like a better fit for me than a flared cylinder. Don’t know why. It’s like my penis knows.

Seriously, though. Thanks everybody. I think, unless somebody says something to change my mind in the next hour, I’m ordering a thick wall cylinder from Vacutech.

Good luck with your purchase cbwtg01.

Let us know what size and style you get, and what you think after you get it. That’s how we all get better at this.

Will do. I ordered a 1 3/4” thick walled. My only regret is that I picked “priority mail” which means nothing. Prioritized over what, you ask? Well, basically, anything that ticks or sends those trained dogs into a frenzy. I’d like to send myself a cheap video camera with a lot of memory one day, with the lens poking indiscreetly through the box, so I can catch sight of the Rube Goldberg machine that is the American postal system.

I’ll report back with my impressions when the thing actually gets here. :crosses off a day on the calendar:
