CTC DP4000 Installation Issues

I have had my CTC DP 4000 for quite some time now. It has worked very well for me with no issues after getting it installed onto my PC. My initial installation was performed with the disc and went off without a hitch. Time has claimed my installation disc and wear and tear has claimed the PC I originally installed it on.

Now, when I want to use my DP 4000 I cannot. The installation software available on the site does not seem to work. Even the gentleman from CTC told me that the software had a 50-50 chance of working from being installed from the site. That is what I gathered from our conversation, that users have had significant problems trying to install it using just the zip file.

My question to you all it’s simple: how did you get your DP 4000 to work without the disc?

I don’t know about the DP 4000 software in particular, but I can speak to the problem in general. It is probably a compatibility issue with the operating system and device drivers on your new computer. I believe that Win10 has a Win7 compatibility mode. Try putting your computer in Win7 compatibility mode and see if it works that way.

Ernie, this laptop runs Win 7. *laughs* I may have needed to specify that originally.

get a new ROM, burn it and reload

I have had a similar issue, I actually jus uninstalled and deleted some things then reinstalled as the clear directions say… use the correct port that ya want the unit connected to works fine…

Uninstall and try a different port for the reinstall

What directions? I don’t have any disc or ROM. Just the zip files and they keep giving install errors. Even after I repaired the installs.

How does the CTC plug into your machine? Does it use a serial cable or a USB? If you’re using a USB port, there are two different types of USB ports. The new version (v3.0, I think) uses a faster clock rate that may not be supported by the CTC. If you look up on your laptop manual, there may be both types of USB ports available - if that’s the case, you might try to find a slower USB port and see if it works.

Another idea: would CTC send you a disk? Those machines are pretty expensive, and if he’s nice, he might be willing to mail you an disc. Or he might give you a clue about what machines the software works on, and which ones it fails, and why.

Another idea: can you try the CTC software on another machine? Perhaps a friend has an old desktop that you could borrow and test the software on that. Or you might be able to find an old, used desktop computer (Win XP? Win 2000?) for very little, and use it only to drive your CTC machine.

CTC may send a disk. They have not picked up since they recommended me download the software.

The machine came with 7 and is a Lenova refurbished business machine. No USB 3.0 here.

No other machine I have access to. I mean this is an automated penis pump. You aren’t my neighbor so explaining to any of my friends what is this big, white box and what is “maximizer” software is like six shades of awkward cuz…it’s a $450 penis pump! And this is before the tube and pump start making noise .. *laughs*

I sold it, because with my bum knee I don’t kneed to be at a computer the entire time I’m using it. The Vacu-tech Pulsar is a self-contained unit and I’m interested in the “no need for a computer or installation” interface. Cuz it just made me mad.

I have the original disk, and have both the 9000 and pulsar… with daily use mine stopped and would lose vacuum.without tapping the unit, meaning a wornout spot in the motor unit… hold off on the pulsar.

And I found the variable pulsar function almost useless

I had the 9000 and got tired of all the software issues and constantly having to fiddle with the settings and only having one routine at a time. I bailed on it and went to the Vacutech
