Bathmate Users -- how do you manage pressure?

I’ve been alternating air and bathmate. The bathmate is still a little tricky for me as l like to pump at 80% erection or so. By the time I get everything set up with the water I’ve usually dropped below that. It then takes a few tries to get a good seal, so erection level drops further.

With the air pumping, I just get everything ready to go before I sit down to get erect. Haven’t mastered using the bathmate in the shower yet, which would probably make it easier.

It is just me I guess but I have some “PE anxiety” - when the erection goes, I sometimes get too stressed to get it back.

Just keep at it, you will get it down. I think it is really worth the effort.

For real is the bathmate wort getting? Is anybody gaining on this?

It’s a pump. People gain from pumping. Gprent thinks it’s a good pump, as I gather.

Myself, I haven’t used it long enough.

People gain mostly girth from pumping, right Mgus? But some people have gained quite a bit of length, like Avocet?

So whats the update on this toy. Easy to use? Fun? Convenient? Worth it? Durable?

It’s well built, although hard water (as opposed to soft, varies from region to region) will leave deposits that make the seal a bit iffy - sometimes if leaks and I bang on it with my knuckle and it stops leaking. Which is why you order with cleaning brush and fluid, I guess.

So yes, easy to use. No clean-up either - shake and let dry.

Double-tasking? Not really, only while shaving or other stuff in the bathroom. Although I have worn it out into the kitchen.

Fun? Fuck if I know, I’m not in this for laughs. It’s not a pleasure toy, not for me at least.

I am experimenting with my own version, and have been pleased. I seem to be gaining length and girth.

I recommend maxing it for length gains, and slightly less vacuum for longer times for girth gains.

I am currently using my homemade cylinder ( a fish gravel tube, with plasti-dip coated opening for cushioning, and a homemade end cap to seal the vacuum in). Its simple, cheap and seems to put the vacuum force in the ideal level for me to see gains.

You fill it with water and just lift the end cap just enough to let the water out, and as you begin to expand in the tube and get hard and push your dick hard into the tube, you create a positive pressure. You then slightly lift the end cap and water will squirt out, then you recap to prevent air getting in.

You repeat this procedure until you have either maxed out or reached the level you want.

When you push your erection in hard, you push out water, when you release, it produces a negative pressure. I think its around 5 in hg of negative pressure. I have been seeing really great responses so far.

Sparkyx, do you feel that the fit of your cobbled up gravel tube is better than the Bath mate? And that that may be responsible for your increased gains? On the beginning pumping threads there is mention of how important it is (for air pumping anyway) to get the proper fit to each individual’s own size, to get the most effect from pumping. Seems like the same principle should work here.

Yes, I would also like to know about the size of the bathmate. DO you guys feel that it feels good and snug? So, it the “cylinder” the right fit?

I gave the dimensions of the Bathmate back on post #28 in this thread.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

on fit size etc. Quoting gprent from his excellent Selecting Your Cylinder Size

The bathmate is certainly large enough for me to allow significant expansion. Honestly if it were snug on me the notion of penis enlargement would never have occurred to me. As gprent noted in post #28, it is slightly tapered and could handle a base girth of 7 inches and a head girth of 5.5 inches.

As to "testicle suck", because of the construction of the bathmate (angled rubber seal at entrance) this is not an issue either — and I can’t imagine many guys would have a problem with that.

I don’t have a Bathmate, so I can’t compare it.

What I found is when I use the gravel filter, and pack it to the sides, it acts like a cockring, restricts the venous outflow and makes it easier to get very hard.

When I use my larger tube that I am just starting to touch the walls, it doesn’t have that effect.

Honestly, they probably both work well. I think the main principle is the water producing a negative pressure effect. I truly feel like more of the expansion is directed deeper into the penis and less stress on the skin and surface structures.

I have been experimenting with that. I think I have settled on 10 minute sets, that prevents edema. I do 1-3 sets, depending on a bunch of factors.

Overall the Bathmate recommendation of 20 minutes a day is probably a good one, just see if you do better every other day. I’m still trying to see whether is best to do a bit less, but do it daily or do it every other day.

I think in general, daily if you can find the amount of time that works for you, is probably going to be more productive in the long run, but it is something you have to experiment with.

I started to get some darkening at full vacuum, but I have a silicon sleeve that solves that. If you find you are getting some darkening and don’t want it, and don’t have some type of sleeve…just back off the vacuum a bit.

What’s a silicon sleeve and where can I get one?

Thanks for replying.
