Bathmate Poll

Dear all,

We have been chatting a bit in the Review forum about adding a pressure gauge to the Bathmate, and since I’m such a curious little guy I would really love to know what current users think about such an improvement, and perhaps a comment or two on why.

— Agust

Huh? You talking about pumps?

Start: 6.9 BPEL x 4.9 (17,5 x 12,5 cm)

Now: 7.7 BPEL x 5.7 (19,5 x 14,5 cm)

Yes, a gauge is needed to monitor pressure, should most definitely be included.

This is a marathon worth running!!

Dec 09: BPEL 5.3" x MSEG 4.2"

Goal: BPEL 7.5" x MSEG 5"

If it had a gauge I don’t think it would be a Bathmate any longer it would become something else.

<If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are headed>

I would only use a pump with a gauge. I am too scared of injuring myself…

I’d consider buying one if it had a guage. That is what is stopping me buying one at the moment. I don’t what to guess the pressure.

Same as Joey, thats what is really stopping me from buying it is no pressure gauge.

Start 01/10: BPEL - 5.6875" EG - 4.250" | Current: BPEL - 6.5" EG - 4.375"

Short Term Goal: BPEL - 6.5" EG - 5.0" | Long Term Goal: BPEL - 7.5" EG - 5.5"

I don’t think that you should even produce/sell ones without a gauge. I understand that some less than bright fellows will attempt to save the $5 by going gauge-less should you give them the option. Be responsible and don’t give them the option. Play up the safety factor and how you care about your customers too much to sell them a dangerous, gauge-less product.

Running a Massive Co-Front.

That might work, iamaru, except that they have already been selling a gauge-less product.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

As a current user, agust, I think it would be a plus to incorporate a gauge into the product. I don’t know if you’ve read through all the Bathmate threads here, but a lot of them include a discussion about the lack of a gauge, and how one might be retrofitted.

Now all that said - my experience with the gauge-less Bathmate has been good. I have never had a problem with ‘overpumping’ with the Bathmate as I have had with air pumping. The only problem I have had is that I may be bumping up against the upper end of the scale for the Hercules model; at the end of my session I wind up with the “ribbed for her pleasure” effect. I may be looking at moving up to the Goliath soon as a result.

Please note, though, that while I have not had a problem with ‘overpumping’ with the Bathmate, I have also been pumping for years before I got mine. I am probably better conditioned than the average user, and may have a better sense of how not to ‘overpump’, even without a gauge, so I may not be the most representative case in your customer base.

Yes, any pump should definitely include a gauge.

Please :donatecar to Thunder's Place to keep it running.

Wow, nice to be back after a long weekend and see so many responses. Cheers all :)

Dear Lampwick,

The original idea behind the Bathmate was in fact the simplicity; and I am sure if John can come up with a pressure meter that will be both water proof and resilient to damage its going to be the future. Most users, have I have read her, yes in deed “mod” their Bathmate, but then some report gaining a feel for the pressure level (as have I) and can control it without really thinking about it. Took me a few times to just get the hang of it but after that I as hooked.

As part of my job, I get to try all sorts of things out :) including other pumps and they are all different, although derived from the same basic principle, to create a negative pressure inside a chamber. I’ve seen rally good once, and then I’ve seen REALLY bad once. I have not seen any corilation between price and quality; seams though that the origin of the product is more of factor than anything else. US pumps for example far exceed imports from Chine for example.

Just my 2c,

Agust
