Bathmate Advice

Does anybody have any advice for staying hard in the bathmate? Im having trouble getting a good punp

Starting stats BPEL: 5 in. MSEG: 4 1/4 in

Current stats BPEL 5.4 in. MSEG 4 1/4 in.

Goal BPEL: 6 in. MSEG: 5 in.

My advice is to put it away, throw it away or use it as a paperweight and get a pump with a gauge. Maybe use it when privacy’s an issue that’s when I see fit to use it.

Seems like ur not a fan of it haha

For any pump I recommend entering it erect as you begin to pump up, but I don’t recommend using a bathmate, especially as a newbie. It has no gauge and is capable of vacuum pressures up to 16”hg that can cause injuries to veteran pumpers, let alone newbies.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Thanks for looking out guys. Well the bathmate is what i have so i gotta try to make it work. I have tried using a rubber band as a substitute c-ring while erect and i got a pretty good expantion. Didnt hurt or anything although i think a real c-ring would be a bit safer. I just got worried and figured id seek some advice. So if anyone can tell me advice specifically concerning the bathmate since i dont have a regular pump yet id appteciate it.

You can put together a gauged pump setup for cheap, there is a thread on here somewhere that shows how to do it for less than $70 if memory serves.

I started with the bathmate and quickly threw it away when I compared pumped length and “feel” with a basic brake bleeder pump. You really can’t tell how much vacuum you’re getting, so injury is a lot easier.

That being said, if you are determined, I would suggest (in no way recommend):

1. The only gauge you have is the measuring strip on the bathmate - get fully erect and insert into the bathmate without water to see your BPEL in the pump.
2. Start with that length measurement as a baseline. Do not use your normal BPEL as a baseline, as you can bone press more with a ruler than with the wide mouth of a bathmate.
3. Pump to that length for no more than 5-15 min at the start and watch for:
A. Injury - red dots, edema, etc.
B. Pain while doing the pump.
C. EQ changes - note that if you have ED, pumping has shown documented benefits not relating to size, so things might actually get better. If they get worse, watch out!

When I started, I could not pump to measured BPEL in the tube without feeling a very very strong tug, almost painful, with edema (fat lip or donut) in the circ area. So I got basic injuries just pumping to “dry” BPEL levels in the tube and had to back off.

With the Bathmate, you can only grossly estimate how much vacuum is being applied and it’s not a precision pumping mechanism, so you can have a wide variety of pressures - and you really can’t feel the difference with any level of precision. More than likely, you’ll have to gradually increase time and pressure only measured by the length markings and as you gain girth, you might see length shorten, meaning more pressure than you think at a given mark on the tube.

So adapt Gprent’s incremental pumping routine, using the measure and injury as stopping points is the best you can do. Injuries are a real pain (literally) and you should probably take a week off, or at least a few days, which means more frustration.

Personally, I learned a lot from the brake bleeder approach and can work much more scientifically and avoid all injury. It’s a heck of a lot cheaper than the bathmate and worth it even if you have to write off the bathmate cost as a learning exercise as I did.

Be careful, go extremely slowly and I strongly suggest to go find $100 to do it right with a gauge.

Thanks bud i appreciate it. I feel obligated to get some use out of it since im not well off and i did drop 100 on it. My s/o knows i have it and has always given me crap about wasting money on it for not using it enough so i cant yet justify buying a different pump set up untill i am more financially secure. To be honest i never really feel anything using the bathmate except for the time i used a rubber band around my base to trap the blood of my erection in it. Will keep trying and taking it very easy to avoid injuries

I never worried about staying hard in there. The difference in pressure will keep your dick plenty full of blood.

I dont know, my dick doesnt seem to get any expansion when im not hard. It doesnt even get to where it would be if i was hard in the tube

Stay away from pumping, go clamping instead.

How long have you been pumping? It does take a little while before you start to see much expansion. If your Bathmate is getting a proper seal, I can’t imagine your penis not being at its max size inside a pump. Something is wrong in your technique or something.

I think your right raybbaby

And i think that might ve a good idea accro. But does clamping yeild permanent gains over time? I thought it was just something that helped with temporary fullness.

My first pump was the BM. Like the others said, there is no gauge. I had no clue so I went in erect and pumped to the max. Well, it didnt take long before I had terrible bruising. I stopped the BM and just jelqed until it healed, which took a long time.

Imho, stick to jelqing to be safe. Focus on the newbie routine if you are new to PE. Clamping is great but might be too advanced.
