ANY Suck and Release Pumps Out There Besides CTC?

*bump*

Aaron, any updates?

I just got my vacutech pump - amazing! I don’t think I’ll ever go back to my hand pump unless I have to.

It seems to vibrate a bit in the tube - that’s got to help with circulation.

I just wish it could suck and release like a CTC. Aaron, when are you going to come to everyone’s rescue and make your million dollars?

Hello,
Yes i’ve made some progress, i’ve got a working prototype unit that i’ve hooked up to a standard gast vacuum pump. I’m trying to build a better control system for it now, as well as start ordering components to start production.

I’ve decided to make the unit as safe as possible, so i’ve added the following: you will plug in a constant vacuum pump into my unit (it will look like a wall socket) and if either the pump or my unit malfunctions, and you suddenly get 20” vacuum, it will automatically shut the pump off. Another feature will be self-calibration when you first start the unit.

I’ll let you guys know when i’m ready to start selling, hopefully very soon. Expect preliminary prices to be $50-$60.

Thanks,
Aaron

You can buy a very reliable and quiet pulsator from

Oliver D. Hammock
PO Box 516
Bremen GA 30110
770-836-1656

Cost a couple of years ago when I bought mine was $249.50. You use it with your existing electric vacuum pump. Mr. Hammock doesn’t have a web site, doesn’t do business on the internet and accepts only money orders in payment. I have bought a number of items from him (he makes excellent vacuum cylinders at very reasonable prices) and found them all to be well made and him to be totally reliable and trustworthy.

ThunderSS,
I apologize, I did not pay close enough attention and i got a little post-happy.

Thank you

Hey Guys,

Anyone try this “Oliver” guy recommended by StJohn?

StJohn, sorry if I get a little nervous when a guy with one post to his belt pops up and says “I’ve got exactly what you need - send a money order here” ;-)

No offense, I just want to do my due dilligence before I start spending my hard earned cash :-) Please don’t take it the wrong way.

Can anyone vouch for him as a vendor? Does he have an email address. It sounds like exactly what I want. I’ll buy it *right now* if he’s legit.

ANY Suck and Release Pumps Out There Besides CTC?

$250 for a pulsator? That seems extremely high to me… Especially since one can get a rebuilt, bench tested one for $55 here:

These Surge Pulsators will pull 12” of vacuum and will adjust from 40 to 60 strokes a minute. They’re fairly quiet and work very well with a constant vacuum source. Plus, a rebuild kit will cost less than $10.

If you wanted to really do it on the cheap, just get a vacuum pump from an old refigerator. I got one for free just by asking for it. It is very quiet and will easily pull 25” of vacuum!

I use a tube made from an aquarium gravel vacuum tube. I have less than $100 invested in a very reliable, quiet and adjustable set-up.

Aaron, any updates?

I love my vacutech! If you can get it to pulsate, Ill but your product today.

I’ll be getting my new digital camera soon. When I do, I’ll post some pictures of my setup. :)

Hi Xaxxat,

How do you control the amount of vacuum with your pulsator?

12 inches is a helluva lot of vacuum. I work between 5 and 7 hg.

Can you let me know more?

Spankman

I control the vacuum with a ball valve. It has a port for a vacuum guage built in. It’s actually an air pressure control valve that I’ve installed backwards. I think I got it at Walmart.

hey xaxxat!

I’m very interested in your set-up. So you get the Surge pulsator, then a constant vacuum source and a cylinder…then you’re in business? Do you need anything else? What is the Surge electric pulsator for? Is it a pulsator or a vacuum source?

So the Surge Pulsator just regulates the cycles/minute? Do you need a additional device to regulate the amount of vacuum from your vacuum source? Is that what the ball valve is for?

What results have you gained from using this set up? Do you find it eliminates negative side effects of pumping such as fluid build up, discoloration etc?

Also please repost the pumpers group address, it was incomplete and I couldn’t find it on Yahoo groups.

Thanks,
Sparkyx
