A Question For Those Who Use A NW Pump

Hi Everyone,

I just got my Deluxe Hand Pump, from Northwest Pump Works. I have a question about the gauge on this pump. The gauge is in psi and hg inches, I believe. I’m assuming the outside set of numbers are in inches. Am I correct in this assumption? I want to make sure, I don’t want to accidently over pump because I’m reading the gauge incorrectly. I used the pump last night at what I believed to be 4 inches hg. While in the tube, my penis looked huge, but when I came out of the tube, my penis was about it’s normal size. I was in the tube for 2 sets of 10 minutes for a total of 20 minutes. Is that normal when you first start out? Or is there something that I’m not doing that I should be? I don’t want to go for more than 10 minute sets, because I’m new at this and my dick isn’t conditioned for long periods of pumping. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Otherwise, I’m very happy with this pump. It is very comfortable, and appears to be of high quality.

I have not seen the gauge on a NW Pumpworks hand pump, so I don’t know how the dial is laid out. Inches of mercury is usually a measure of vacuum. PSI (pounds per square inch) is usually a measure of pressure. Here is an online pressure/vacuum converter. PSI will be a smaller number compared to inches Hg: 4" Hg = 1.96 psi.

Your routine sounds right for someone starting out. It’s the exact time I spend in the tube during my PE routine.

When I was pumping I would only read the outside scale on my guage. It Is measured in (in Hg). This is the correct unit for vaccum. I would vary my vaccum from 8-14 inHg but I now know this was a mistake. It is my belief for now that the best range is 4 to max. 0f 7 or 8 inHg at the most. I personally believe that I hindered my gains from going to high a vaccum reading.
Whilst at the moment I’m not pumping, (Trying to learn hanging at moment), if I ever resume pumping I will never exceed 8inHg again.

I feel it was a learning curve I had to have and I regrett going so high.

I pumped almost non stop for 2 1/2 years with a strict routine only to find when I joined thundersplace that I had used too much vaccum. I did gain a little girth though at the base and was able to hit my max lengths whilst under vac. but If I had the chance to do it all again I would use lower vaccum readings and in inHg only. inHg is the measure of vaccum.

Thanks, for the help Westla, and Gentle. After looking at the online conversion calculator that Westla provided, made me go and check my gauge again. Stupid me, didn’t see the markings on the gauge. The guage is an hg. guage, not a psi/hg guage. The outside numbers are in hg. inches, and the inside numbers are in hg. millimeters. NW Pumpworks advertise it as a psi guage. I assumed that’s what it was. Also, shouldn’t my dick look bigger after I come out of the cylinder, or does it take time before it starts to look bigger after pumping? My dick looks really huge in the tube, but when I release the pressure it goes back to it’s normal size.

You may have some temporary discoloration and perhaps a bit of fluid in the skin, but it’s not necessary to look bigger when you come out in order to get gains. Guys that go for that look pump at high pressure for longer periods. Perhaps the optics of the plastic are making you look larger while you’re in the tube.
