For the people that have actually tried both, which hanger do you prefer, and why? The Bib or the Chicken Choker? What are the pros and the cons to both?
Or is there a hanger that is better than both?
As far as homemade hangers go you might want to look into the AFB hanger and the Captain’s Wench.
Homemade choice would be the wench, the bib and the chicken choker is like comparing a go cart to a corvette.

Thanks Piet. Im going to look in to this. I built my own bib type hanger and it works ok, but I am having some issues with it. I just know there has to something better.

So is the BIB considered by most to be the cream of the crop then? I made a home made one with PVC pipe. Its working ok, but no matter how hard I tighten it down, it wants to move up to the shoulders of my glans. How do I prevent this? During the hanging session, the glans do get a little dark, filled with blood and sometimes a little cold. Everything returns to normal after a few seconds when taking it off. I have made some adjustments and my glans do not get as dark, swollen, and/or cold as they did when I first started. So is it to be expected to some degree?
You need to be a bit clearer on what you are comparing.
Are you comparing the Chicken Chocker to the home made BIB or to the production model? As worded most will assume that you are referring to the BIB hanger built by Bigger himself. If that is the case then a go cart Vs. a corvette is dead on.
If you are talking about different models of home made stuff than Piet has your answer as neither the Chicken Chocker nor the home made BIB would be the first choice of most that have experimented with home brews.

If you’re really broke, I think there’s nothing wrong with a home made hanger. But if you’re serious about PE & you want to be sure not to injure yourself, just get a Bib. I’m extremely happy with mine…
I am broke unfortunately! In the middle of starting my own business and divorce. I appreciate everyones comments and advice. So I guess I would have to narrow it down to homemade models. I will get the bib when I can.
